I always liked the moment when Bonnie just looks off at John and Abigail and draws with her foot in the sand, then just walks away into the store. That little moment tells such a good story and speaks volumes. She likes John, but John is married, so she can't have him, so she just deals with it, because Bonnie is the type of woman that accepts reality, and moves on with life.
She demands john go help bonnie despite her jealousy because she knows bonnie helped save his life. Her morals are above her own emotions at this point. What a good character.
I always take Bonnie drawing in the dirt with her foot as the way they showed she does want John but was hoping she wouldnt like Abigail and did so now her crush feels wrong.
Drawing in the dirt was such a small effective moment that puts her life in perspective. She had the fleeting hope when John came into her life, but she's used to being grounded b realityy. She's lonely, but not bitter. Sad, but maintains spirit. Like John, she has no time to pity herself because she has her ranch and her father to look out for. She's a very tragic character who endears strength in the face of the odds stacked against her. But she's still very much human like the rest of us.
@@Jupa A couple of years ago this was asked on Valentine's Day, someone asked who would you pick to be your valentine, I picked Ms. Bonnie McFarland I ended up with quit the comments.😂
Moments like this make this game more like a movie. I always thought, if your family likes westerns, should plug this up to their TV and play this in front of them.
60 fps is so smooth, wow. The graphics are great as well considering this emulates the non enhanced version of the game. "The only thing Dutch and Bill were ever any good at was not getting caught" First time I hear this haha
God, the microphone audio with John and Abigail during gameplay is so low quality. I know this is an old game but I've always felt that RDR1 in particular out of all the HD Rockstar games always had shitty audio quality. I mean GTA IV, Max Payne 3 and GTA V sounded completely fine for the most part.
definitely one of the weaker points of the game, The dialogue gets drowned out a lot which is annoying because the mission dialogues is such a big part of this game. Generally the stereo audio is shitty even on normal xbox, I always use my headphones to track enemies but spatial audio is non-existent in this either. Lets hope for that remaster eh 🤣🤣
Pretty sure it’s intentional since old classic westerns like" The Good, The Bad, And The Ugly" had grainy audio and Rockstar clearly drew a lot of inspiration these films with its duels, Wilhelm screams, kooky characters, etc. When you play GTA 4, however, the audio sounds much more crisp and clean, and that game released two years before RDR1.
@@jinxthatsme2317If that's the case then I don't think it was good implementation of it. RDR1 doesn't have enough visual cues for it to look like a true 1960s wild west film and considering the dialogue plays a huge role in RDR1, it only caused more problems than positives in my personal opinion.
Personally I think it might be by design because someone said GTA4 sounds better but in GTA your characters are inside of a car but in RDR1 it makes sense you’re either on a horse or a wagon so them speaking loudly and not sounding as clear could be intentional since all the noise of the horses the wagon wheels and general ambience being louder because you’re not closed off in a car Edit: the lost and the damned on GTA4 does a similar noise drowning effect with travel conversations in the DLC The Lost and Damned when you’re having conversations with the gang on the bikes
@@Jupa I wonder how much Rob smoked between Undead Nightmare and RDR2. He sounds like he has throat cancer in RDR2. I can't blame him, he works in construction.

I love the dialogue in these games.
After playing RDR2 Abigail and Bonnie bonding feels more wholesome because Abigail probably sees a bit of Sadie in Bonnie
I Can only imagine the day Bonnie visited Beechers hope only to see John had died.

The Wagon sound overpowering the dialogue is indeed rlly annoying

Bonnie and Abigail are two of my favourite female characters of all time. The third one is probably Kassandra from Odyssey.
Bonnie has got Amos in her sights now she can’t have John. Bonnie to be doing a cowgirl soon!!😂
Abigail can read
To some extent, she managed to read out her name but not anything else
In rdr2 she is able to read
