I live in Napa and it’s uhhh aight
How about safety?
I can send youa crime rate map. But I feel like personally it’s pretty safe! Not many major crimes and not tons of theft that would make your life feel threatened if that makes any sense 🤣.
Estee Ave is heaven on earth.
I find your video kind of offensive. I live in a hip part of Vancouver but I make room for everyone - with different preferences - young and old. You seem to love referring to yourself as bougie. Just based on how you talk about older residents I’d be turned off in working with you. Rude.
Oh I am so sorry, not meaning to offend anyone. I actually work with many older residents here in Napa. However just commenting on the changing tide in points of view. We have large music festivals, big boisterous events, and the town has changed a lot in the last 10-15 years. I guess my comment is referencing that not everyone is happy about it ( this is seen in our city government, and news ). Not referencing age but Like you said. You live in a hip part of Vancouver but you make room for everyone. Not everyone here is making room for the change and everyone that has come along with it. I also love the bougie aspect of this city, the beautiful shops, restaurants, and buildings, the fanciness of it all is something I didn't always see growing up, but I love when i see business owners put a lot of effort into making things beautiful for their community of customers. Anytime you give insight it can be taken the way you didn't intend. Thank you for the feedback.
@@NapaSolanoRealtor Ummm as a local who was born and raised in this valley I disagree with your characterization of folks who have been in the valley a lot longer than you, who because of their age are considered cranky or don't belong in Napa even though they may have been here for 50 years. You see one of the "charms" about this valley and what the folks did before you came was to preserve the valley for agriculture and for families. They stuck to that plan and even created the Ag preserve in order to ensure that Napa did not turn into another Silicone Valley, Walnut Creek etc. There were strict building codes and chain stores were not allowed in order to preserve the history, beauty and integrity of this agricultural community. We all managed to keep this valley including the town of Napa relatively crime free, we preserved the land, architecture , natural resources and small town feel. We all knew one another and enjoyed our small non bougie town. Many of us don't like the massive take over and intrusion of Big Box stores and overdevelopment that taxes our natural resources, and has dramatically increased air pollution, traffic and even an uptick in crime. We don't like it when our healthy trees that have been here for several hundred years are cut down for bike paths. We don't like it that homes are being built on fragile hillsides and we don't like our mountains oak woodlands being clearcut for more vineyards and massive weekend homes. And to be honest, you and thenew people who have moved here should be grateful and humble and willing to learn about this valleys history rather than come here to get away from wherever you came from and the first thing you do is to clamor for yet another restaurant and or big box store or Starbucks which eventually drains the charm and uniqueness from an area.
