It was made specifically for the anime of the game at least, because the song has Sylvarant and Tethe'alla named in it(even if the language is gibberish)
@@pokedestined The animation skip most of the scenario of the game, but it keep the main scenario, i recommand to play the game but if you don't want to, the animation is quite good tho, but you'll miss like 85% of the thing.
When I hear the chorus, I often think that the singer is saying "Sylverant, pierce/cross the veil, Sheena", then, 'ikimasi', which sounds like "ikimasu", which means "let's go" in Japanese. in the next chorus, it says "Tethe'alla, pierce/cross the veil, Raine/Refill", which would be referencing how the two get from world to world and Raine's English and Japanese names. The first time, to Tethe'alla from Sylverant, Sheena leads them on the Rheairds from the Renegade's base. The second time, to Sylverant from Tethe'alla, Raine leads them through the Otherworldly Gate. This is just my theory; I know it's a made up language (a beautiful one, though). Let me know what you think!
Still not sure if there is any opening past or present that truly captures the fantasy atmosphere like this one does, not sure if future shows will be able to capture it either
the first part of the song reminds me of final fantasy 13-2.. >.< i think i heard something like it somewhere in that game... but of course, i might be wrong.
Yes, very interesting fact indeed. Wonder why they opted to do so? Although I feel I can hear some japanese syllables once in a while (maybe just a coincidence?), I can't really get a firm grip.. How annoying... :p Song's cool though.
Rest in peace Eri Kawai
Gives me chills everytime I listen to this song. I wish such a beautiful voice didn't extinguish so soon. :(
RIP the singer with such a lovely voice. Eri Kawai.
The moment I heard this I knew this was my kind of animation.
except it had nothing to do with the original game

@@abysgaming1294 Not to mention a lot of what happened in the OVA didn't in the game. (I still love it a lot) The manga is much closer to the game.
To this day when I hear the vocal part of the song I just picture Mithos just sitting on his throne like a badass with his smug smirk
This is still one of my favorite songs I love it rip Eri
Sometimes you can hear the words Sylvarant and Tethe´alla :O
I thought I was the only one.
FunHouseDR I looked up the lyrics, it most likely is Sylvarant and Tethe'alla in whatever language it's supposed to be..
R.I.P eri kawai , thanks for the piece
I bought this game recently, I have been so invested in the tales games they are amazing
Awesome best Song in all Tales of...
Quite literally the best song I have ever heard in any Anime ever. Such a sad song for a sad and tragic Anime.
Oozing with creativity, her voice is gorgeous

I thought they were saying Tethe'alla too
+giroliro3 shes says Sylvarant and Tethe'alla, I'm sure of that.
I hear a mixture of Celtic and Japanese in the made-up language.
also I think I hear Kratos?
I LOVE THIS, thank you!
I'm in love with this song.
wow i was looking for this song...
thanks for uploading the disc. Couldn't find it anywhere else
It's awesome to see how the opening themes evolved along with the story.
Still not sure if there is any opening past or present that truly captures the fantasy atmosphere like this one does, not sure if future shows will be able to capture it either
It is truly one of the best opening Anime songs of all time.
This is one powerful song
cette musique me donne les frison a chaque fois
i finally found it oh my god.
rip eri kawai
Beautiful song
RIP eri kawai ;(
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
yukisohma someone died?
@@connorwaltman4966 no sherlock
@@connorwaltman4966 the singer died in 2008 of liver cancer
If I would be dead, this is the last song I want to hear
i love this
Something not many may know, but they literally invented a fake Elvin language for this song. Pretty crazy!
sounds almost Celtic.
Only the vocals, music is somewhat different
I like how the language in this song is actually made up...Its not actual japanese....
This is gonna be hard to sing...
best game = best anime = best song
Bless your heart
No, this song is the 1st opening of the anime ^^
Dude i also lay ff13-2 an i heard to xD its almost same voice of that woman time ager xD
genia a mi me encanta tengo 2 temas de esta cancion el almateria fandub y el original
Oh man, thanks for uploading! I was wondering if you have a new download link since MegaUpload has been taken down...
Use Gendou. It has all the anime songs ^^
Why couldn't this be the intro song in the actual game ? I find it so much better.
It wouldn't fit at all with the opening animation.
the first part of the song reminds me of final fantasy 13-2.. >.< i think i heard something like it somewhere in that game... but of course, i might be wrong.
No, this is just in the anime version.
true story =D

Song's cool though.
@heerogunkenobi ditto :3
so, it's not actually...a real language?
No. It's fictional elven language. It still sounds good.
SuperDuperCooper08 i think so.
Minama02 Kinda sounds like a combination of Celtic/Gaelic, Japanese, and English.
Giordan Diodato to bad i can't sing this song when i hear it x) i would also like to know the meaning of the song
Minama02 I can make out "Syruverant"
Which is the Japanese pronunciation of Sylverant
the music has nothing to do with the rest of the production in anime
The people behind the music put way too much work into the music of this lazy adaptation.
No way man. If they hadn't, we wouldn't have this masterpiece of a song!
Is this on iTunes?
