This piece... Just tells me, through empathy, the absolute anger and overt grief being experienced by Terra. The fight to protect the ones he loves. His last chance to set things right. Yet, in all his lingering will, the opportunity is gone. What was done cannot be undone. There he suffers day after day, replaying his grief and his guilt among a graveyard which beckoned his friends.
Whoever played the violin is just making so many allusions in my mind with subtle melodies to Aqua and Ventus. The violin is remarkably an instrument of light dancing in the dark with the bass groove. Endless goosebumps, an awe-inspiring piece, and I absolutely LOVE the bass groove isolations.
I'd say he got what was coming to him.
+Diamond Falcon I hate that I agree with this. For as much as they talked about friendship, Ventus was the only one emotionally invested in keeping the friends together. Ven is my favorite character of that group. Aqua let her Master title get to her head a little bit, and she started bossing them around. Terra pushed away his friends and Ven just kind of watched them fall apart. I'm going to replay this game very soon to see if I get any different views from it, but to me, if Aqua and Terra just listened to Ven, they would have had a stronger team and might have actually gotten somewhere.
That's a tough one... I feel like Ventus was the most fucked up mentally and at times could verbalize what it was he was truly feeling as effectively. Thanks to Xehanort, Ventus' conception of reality was to not involve the friends he had with beef which only concerned him and Xehanort. I can't say that I know what Ventus was thinking. YOu could be absolutely right though. It was and is Ventus' ability to see the meta-empathy of him and his friends. So tragic :(

Well, I do remember mid point he thought Aqua and Terra weren't really his friends or something along those lines and started searching for "new friends". Although it's been a while, I remember being angry at Terra and Aqua for pushing Ven away. Had they stood united, their chances would have been much higher.
My whole thing is, if they were such good friends, you would think at some point they would decide to join forces. Each of them started discovery bits and pieces of the truth of who / what they were facing. It's not like they couldn't pool information and come up with a game plan. I'm not talking about at the very end, because even then, they weren't really a "Team".

Everybody keeps talking about the violin in this song (and don't get wrong, it's good). But what about the organ? That's what what stands out to me the most and it's glorious!
The organ is under appreciated
Had the opportunity to perform with a magnificent, massive pipe organ built into the wall when I was in college choir. Hearing an organ of any size, but especially one of that magnitude, is an unforgettable experience.

At this point, this track could branch off into either Rage Awakened or Terra's theme and it would mesh really well. Most likely something I'm getting from it and it's coincidence but hey, it's neat all the same.
Project Destati deserves so much more credibility than it gets. The tracks that you make are stunning and awe-inspiring in every sense of the imagination.
I don't know how they aren't as widely recognized in the Kingdom Hearts community. This is beyond art and music to my ears...

He didn't exactly blast through mountains, but it was still dope for the robotic stilted motions that kh3 gave us. I loved it. No sarcasm.

Still a lot to improve but don't go around calling it bad to people who liked it as if you want to indoctrinate them or something.

This is such a great reimagining of Rage Awakened! I would love to see you guys reimagine Dismiss and Rowdy Rumble.
Anyone else excited that the new re:mind trailer used an orchestral version of rage awakened? I'm so hyped.
This is my favorite arrangement in Light. I am a HUGE fan of Birth by Sleep, and this arrangement is so skillful in weaving in character themes and other motifs, it makes me happy and breaks my heart at the same time. Terra's theme itself being the most obvious one (I really think the only reason it's not featured in the original Rage Awakened is because they hadn't decided on the character themes for BBS at that time), but when you also wove in a little bit of Aqua's and Ven's themes in the middle section (2:21 and 2:35 for the curious), wow, my heart. (Along with the cameos of Dearly Beloved, Organization XIII, and that hint of Fate of the Unknown at the end). That amazing percussion at 1:40 and the solo violin killing it at 3:13 (my favorite part of the original, both repeats here are AMAZING), wow. I've listened to this about four times in a row.
Hearing this piece rekindled my obsession with KH. Having never played the Final Mix version of KH2 till this year... I am grateful for being introduced. So fucking beautiful

I'm appalled at how underviewed this is
This just shows how much Terra suffered throughout the series. Fight me if you can on this, but Terra suffered the most, even more than Xion, Roxas or Aqua. This theme emphasizes Terra's rage to fight with all his might to prevent Xehanort from hurting his friends, and he... succeeded!
Gotta say they all had it pretty bad, Terra and Aqua are hard to compare though if you want to "rank" it.

and has most sins burdened onto him upon his failure on protecting his body from Xehanort's possession ...
I wish KH3 (or maybe next game) could show Terra found out what Xehanort has done using his body, and redeem himself ...
Like, atleast, meet some sort of illusion of AnsemSOD and Xemnas and fight both of them ...
All things considered, it’s because of Terra’s darkness and suffering that Roxas and Xion exist at all.
Without his body being stolen, Xehanort’s plan would probably not have progressed far.
I'd say that Xion's existential crisis would make secound, Aqua would hit third, But Terra has to be first when you consider all the factors. He was tricked into pushing his friends away, Was forced to help murder his Master, no, Father, was unable to save his friends when he realized his mistake, Had his heart and body stolen by Xehanort, and his mind had so much willpower, it refused to die, possessing his armor in hopes that he can do something to help Aqua and Ven, and was left with only his Rage, Willpower, and Broken Memories that instruct him how to act, like a nobody, but without the ability to regrow a heart. Speaking of, his heart was forced into a back and forth battle with Xehanort, and was frequently forced into The Dark Guardian, which tbh, looked like it was in pain during the final Ansem fight in KH1. And Xemnas ends up a confused mess because of the influence of both men, while Terra's heart continues to reach out to the hero's, to no avail. I could go further, but if i did, i probably couldn't stop myself... Point is, Terra's story is by far the most tragic in my eye's.

Years later, the Lingering Will was summoned by no other than Namine to help in the final battle against Xehanort, for those who played KH2FM the quotes: "Those eyes..." "Xehanort!" were made for that moment.

It seems to me that this arrangement could very well be one big operatic (meaning it tells a story) performance, you have covered almost every angle perfectly: The emotional music; the inspirational music; action; atmosphere; desperation. Heck you could put the characters to this music, cut the dialogue, and just play it through the great atmosphere this arrangement provides. It might even possibly be better that way.

I have a good idea for the final boss battle that should’ve been in KH3. Have Sora fight along Lingering Will in Scala Ad Caelum against Xehanort with this theme in the background.

This would be great if it could be in KH3 if Sora has to enounter Lingering Will as a story boss, I can see it like this kind of scenario:
After Sora saves Ven and Aqua, they go to find Terra and wander into the Badlands of the Keyblade Graveyard, and Terra senses them but like the last time, thinks that Sora is Xehanort and chooses to attack, then the battle would start.
INFORMATION: Quell Terra's anger and bring him to his senses!

Project Destati as amazing as some of these are, I feel like tracks like Rage Awakened and Desire for all that is lost would benefit more from being heavier. Not to discredit you guys at all, they are all done quite well but it just doesn't have the same powerful feel the originals had.
