My takeaway from this :
1) Bangladesh has overdepence on Garmentd exports (80% of total export)
2) 61% of the garments go to Europe. Europe is facing recession because of which exports have decreased and hence the inflow of foreign money. This created a shortage of Forex reserves which is necessary to buy oil.
3) India is in a comparatively better position as other than IT sector we have other sectors also that are developed. We are not overdependent on IT exports.
4) Bangladesh now has to go to either IMF, WB or friendly countries for loan. If it goes to China then I it may face same problems as Pak and SL are facing.
Conclusion : Our exports should be diversified and should not be overdependent on a particular region/country and a particular sector.
One more thing. As sir mentioned higher GDP per capita than India doesn't mean that country is more prosperous than India. Similarly high overall GDP of India doesn't mean that we are prosperous than most of the European countries.
Correction* who told you that bangladeshs export have decreased because of the recession in Europe ...Bangladesh have recorded highest ever export earning last year ...whopping $52bn
Even last month bangladesh have recorded close to 40% growth ...and it is India whose export decressed by 3% last month :')..
If you ask about reserves .then yah...bangladeshs reserve has came down from 47 bn to 39 bn... India's reserve have also came down from 630 bn to less than 560 bn... :') so... it's normal ...since US have hiked their interest rate like crazy that's why every country including Indian bangladesh are facing currency devaluation! It's normal... It is not gonna be like these all the time :') welcome

Bangladesh's HDI is higher than India and Pakistan. Bangladesh's HDI: 0.661 India's HDI: 0.632 Pakistan's HDI: 0.544 (According to the recent update)
Bangladesh has also outperformed India in GDP per capita which is 2824 USD and India's per capita is 2603 USD
(IMF didn't update it yet)
Bangladesh has a literacy rate of 79% and has internet users of more than 130 million. Remittances have increased.
Completion of Bangladesh's mega-projects are boosting the economic growth by large margin.
Talking about economic crisis, Bangladesh is not the only one who is facing such troubles. See the rise of inflations in the UK, Russia, and many other European countries. In fact the rise of inflation is highest in 30 years. Even tho we are poorer than the UK or US, Bangladeshis do not die out of hunger!

If no problem occurs and Bangladesh stays stable nothing can be more desired than that .But you definitely can't compare Bangladeshs situation with india. India's forex reserve size is not even compareable with Bangladesh. Inflation in Bangladesh and West is way higher than india. Also according to report many countries including Bangladesh can be default while india has been told it has zero change to get recession.
