According to the government, the carrying capacity for the island of Boracay is 6,000 prebooked guest. Gone are the day of overcrowding the Island by tourist. The Philippines is regulating uncontrolled influx of tourist. The preservation of the beauty of the island and it's environment is the purpose of regulation.
You might want to try Balabac, Palawan. Very few tourists go to Balabac. It's not developed but it is it's charm and beauty. It's very quiet and not crowded unlike Boracay, Coron or El Nido.
Boracay is very small beach area, I remember having like 4 stations, Very small beach, they had to regulate. Not much tourist infrastructure in the Philippines, which is ok by me.

But now you both seem more relax, you don’t repeat much what you’ve said, and the flow is much more natural like you’re conversing with a real person in front of you and not the camera. Yehey Diniwid... I have a condo a short walk from Diniwid beach. The cheapest beer in Boracay is at the bar on the beach at the end of Diniwid road path, 30m from your hotel!

AHHH Diniwid! I first went to Boracay in 1995 and found Diniwid. Back then, electricity had not yet reached that part of the island, so it was even more chill than it is now. I have great memories of the Spider House when it was still a private home. Since then, I've visited Boracay three more times and always stay in Diniwid! It's truly a special place. Enjoy your stay guys! ❤❤❤

They said that the algae bloom is a natural phenomenon that makes the sand in Boracay blindingly white as conveyed by a family who grew up there. It was already there even in the 80s when there was no electricity yet and I assumed that the water was still not contaminated with pollutants. Not sure though if correct.
It comes and goes. Somedays there are algae and somedays it's just pure white beach. I've seen the recent vblog of the Hungry Syrian that he just took last May 4, 2022 pretty much there are no algae along the shore of Boracay. Just plain white sand.
I think the rain and sun, rain and sun and this crazy weather contributed to that. Because so far, from previous vblogers I've watched who visited Boracay early this month, no algal along the shore or if there is, not that much. But that sunset though is epic and always one of the beautiful highlight in your Boracay trip. I just couldn't believe most expat vblogers don't go to Puka beach and Crystal cove beach in Boracay. Those spots are just pure paradise.
yes, it's seasonal. at the right temperature and the right amount of nutrients, they flourish. not to worry, they balance the ecosystem and other ecological behaviors. and yes, they contribute to the refining of the sand. the abundant sunshine is the main whitening agent/factor of the sand which is quite the opposite effect on us humans. :)

I'm from Boracay guys, I recommend to visit the Newcoast Boracay it's the very end of Boracay and the most cleanest area of the island you can see there the Keyhole Rock formation which they said it's magical.

I've been there twice in my lifetime, both before the shutdown and rehabilitation so of course pre-pandemic. There are so many things we didn't do, just mainly went on the beach, eating, swimming and the nutty night life they had way back then. I'd like to return for at least a month, so I can visit Manila, Boracay, Cebu and El Nido :-)

I stayed in Diniwid a lot when I went to Boracay back in the early 90s. It was a quiet little village with just bamboo cottages and just one restaurant. And of course the people were the kindest people you could ever meet. The beach had very white sand and was much wider. The place has drastically changed but it’s still beautiful! This video flashed me back to many happy times. So glad you stayed in Diniwid, Matt and Molly. I really enjoyed this video!❤️

Me and my Brother brought our cousin here since he never left the Luzon island his entire life. We really enjoyed it. Wish I could do the scuba diving next time, but snorkeling is fun too. The Beach is so nice, way better than any of the beaches I've been too. And the water was warm, even in September. Hope I can visit it again next year.

That algae in boracay is natural that comes every summer and that algae helps white sand to become so much white and powdery

Like the hotel. Might try there on our next Boracay trip. I have been so many times now. Last trip in March and stayed in Hennan palm beach resort with direct pool access.

Really nice vlog molly and matt great to be back in the philipines and back on the island of BORACAY the Boat ride was cool and as matt said the sunset wasnt the best but the boat ride was realy cool/ the paella Veg version looked great as ive not had that but only the meat one ive had many times Yummy , any way guys thanks for sharing so stay safe and ill catch you in the next one.

Me and my Brother brought our cousin here since he never left the Luzon island his entire life. We really enjoyed it. Wish I could do the scuba diving next time, but snorkeling is fun too. The Beach is so nice, way better than any of the beaches I've been too. And the water was warm, even in September. Hope I can visit it again next year.
