The Beauforts were specifically excluded from the succession for that reason. A legitimate daughter takes presidence over a bastard son. Also the daughter of an older son comes before the son of a younger son.
EoY was illegitimate as were her brothers due to the fact that Edward IV had created a huge mess for everyone by marrying Eleanor Talbot before Elizabeth Woodville, so neither of them were legitimate inheritors of the throne.
