Great, still remember Bicholim stay in year 2001, almost 2 months continuous stay and at least one job related visit from mumbai every month rest of the year,, enjoyed a lot with my Bicholim's local team of around 12 boys and 12 girls,, But related to food I suffered a lot in Goa, as a vegetarian very selected options which were not available in my working time zone and lost almost ten kg weight,, but company of konkani people was very nice experience..... Because of cheap liquor and it's publicity people / tourists don't know spiritual richness of Goa. In fact GOA is basically hub of strong God Follower people with Rich heritage of Several Hindu temples of different Hindu Gods and almost in thousand years of Outside Rulers period also Goan People strongly maintain Hindu Culture and Rituals Alive in that very adverse period.

Pompfret and Shrimps don't stench thus you don't use Triphal in those Umans. Also Triphal can be put in stored beans. Insects dont invade the storage because of the strong smell of Triphals.

Dont talk rubbish. GSBs were priests before inquisition, after inquisition when they were forced to migrate, for survival in new land they started business and spice trading was one of that. I am a GSB and from my family history I can tell this with authority.
History of spice trade is only of 3 to 4 centuries old, since after inquisition,1560 AD, batches of GSBs migrated from Goa and settled in Karnataka coast and Kerala. Beside priests, they are also businessmen. Ancestors of GSBs were Maithili Brahmins from Mithila, North Bihar, settled in Goa in 9th AD i.e. about 1200 years ago.

These longer varieties are thicker and do not taste as good as the shorter ones. There are longer varieties produced in the Belgaum district of Karnataka that are thinner and tastier. Tedli displayed at the market were however of excellent quality.

Jairamji ki,Avadh Bihari kankar was the elder brother of my father PK sharma (father of both were brothers), he was famous for riding bull carts in the area, his only alive son's name is Sharad. 1 of my school friend sumetu committed suicide just before appearing in 12th class higher secondary board examination in NU district in MP in y2k, this public comment is relevant due to many reasons and concerning sachin pilgaonkar also a prestigious sarashwat bramhin. Btw in my village bohani, gaur is the surname presented and used by kurmi caste somewhere they use patel surname which is used by kushwaha caste in my area, and also by few more castes. The KHAJE is also the main food at any fair in Bengal. It's called Gurkathi (with Jaggery) and Chinikathi (with sugar).
