I used to chug bottles of vodka like this and shoot heroin multiple times a day. I went to rehab seven times and went from sober house to homeless and back again and again. I never gave up. I’ll be five years sober on February 9th. I’m here for anyone that needs help. Great song! Great reaction! Fame can be a killer, but there is strength in numbers. Talk to someone. 🤘

Ivan actually had a really bad alcohol addiction, "I Apologize" is another song by them about it. It got to the point that he almost died at least once because of his alcoholism, and decided to quit drinking completely as a result. He's now doing a LOT better due to that decision. Pretty sure this song is about that time he couldn't perform and Philip Labonte of All That Remains covered so they wouldn't have to cancel the show...

This song was written way back around war is the answer came out. It was a bonus track. Ivan had a long battle with alcoholism and I'm happy he finally beat it
I love the fact Ivan took his real alcoholism and experiences and turned it into a song a video. Takes heart at that stage to show your human side. Which many forget we all have.
Saw them live amazing group, when i was at the concert i realized the voice wasnt the same and it was an interem singer cause he wasn't there in the group at the time because of his addictions. alot of people in the genre scene hate them but they're real as it gets with their lyrics

This song is about what most of us, including him were and currently dealing with, addiction. More on the lethal to the fatal kinds of addiction which are the demons controlling us. At the end of the video, he brings up his personal status and now he controls the demons

I've been drinking to much for the better of 20 years. I got pumped when I heard there was a new FFDP video single out. I started it and had to turn it off. I couldn't finish it. Just hits way to close to home. I'm finishing it now. I'm good a keeping secrets and no one knows about my problem with booze. Hope I can put it down soon. Good reaction brother

As you see, it's Ivan's personal battle with alcoholism, how low he got and his bounce back and breaking the habit. It's personal for him but I believe he made it to get anyone trying to break their addiction encouragement.
The song is about demons and choices..responsability for the actions ending in consequences .people need to WAKE UP. Take control of your own lives and stop being followers and Blaming everyone else for the problems you create..its about time someone made a video like this to show truth today

It did happen for real. In the actual event he tried to quit drinking cold turkey. Bad idea. His body was so used to it, it reacted badly to that sudden stop. He passed out in his kitchen one day and woke up surrounded by EMTs and his daughter, who called 911 and basically saved his life. Ivan has said he saw some crazy shit while he was out too. He pretty much died and was brought back. This song/video is pretty deep and personal for him.

I'm glad to be sober for 4 years now. FFDP makes it easier somehow.
He actually did die. The vid doesn't show it, but Ivan said that when he died, there was nothing. Just black emptiness, a void. When he woke up in the hospital, his daughter was holding his hand. That was the moment that he swore to never drink again.

Ivan had a lot of demon and had a really bad drinking and other problems. He was kicked from the band and had to cancel shows during because he was to drunk. He’s clean now and his music has changed a lot side of him
