Built 1893, the Bradbury is featured in the film BladeRunner starring Harrison Ford, Darrel Hanna.
Imported from france, custom wrought iron ballistrades and open elevator cars (2), were first displayed at the Chicago Worlds Fair before shipping to Los Angeles for instalation in the Bradbury. Imported Marble stairs and landings are fitted in Iron cases. Quarter sawn Oak coved paneling throughout. Sculpted Terracotta Tiling below ballistrades. Glazed fired bricks. Marquetry tile work and glass floor inset for basement illumination. 5 stories with skylight roof. Exterior is brick and notably understated for a baroque period building. Corner of South Broadway and 3rd street downtown Los Angeles California. Across Broadway street from the Million Dollar Theater .

Great to hear it survived the destructive moods of greedy "concrete barons" as wel call them in Dutch ("betonbaronnen"). Except for Blade Runner, it also features in the 1950's crime movie D.O.A. (Dead On Arrival) which can be seen here on TH-cam.

For a trade school or university? You must visit the Bradbury to get an appreciation of it's (design/materials) inherent (nearly timelessly) enduring functioniallity and appeal.
