I love how they use that cool train ride to transition from the train station to the aquarium, and the amazing ceiling screen, so much cool stuff to do.
If you haven’t gone there already I hiiiighly recommend the Dallas World Aquarium! It’s so beautiful, and such a sight to see! I think you’d absolutely love it!
That alligator gar was staring you down. Gangsta checked ya. And archer fish aren't spitting, they're blowing jets of water with tunneled air. Gotta love Carpet. The greatest.
What a gorgeous light show. ♥ That clock in the aquarium was really cool, along with the flying train. John Goodman did a good job narrating the train. : ) Very cool looking place. I'm glad you had fun today!
I absolutely LOVE THE SMOKY MOUNTAINS Aquarium . Swear its the best one I have ever been to in any state...so amazing and big variety of aqua worldlife
Not too far from my 2nd home (in Montana) this past summer 4 people were hospitized because of (very territorial) river otter attacks😱. The people were tubing, down the river. Great aquarium Jake!
I've been to the St. Louis Aquarium at Union Station since when I was 22 years old. You're gonna love this place it has a talking otter where guests can interact with him.
It was a video on a screen, but it'd definitely be amazing to see one in person. I don't think the tanks at the STL aquarium are big enough to hold one of those big guys. Their size is tough to comprehend even after seeing a real one. They're pretty rare and they have a very short life span. Life expectancy is 5 years. They must grow incredibly fast! The biggest one ever caught was 43 feet long and over 1,000 pounds! I can understand why they were considered ocean monsters by sailors hundreds of years ago. Pretty cool stuff!!
@@vargasfamily282 That screen did look very realistic tho. I was surprised as well when I learned how short their lifespans were. I think that even if they had a big enough tank, they wouldn't be able to simulate the pressure of the deep ocean that giant squids live in. As rare as they are to see, it's even more rare to see them alive. If they are caught or seen in open water, they either die from being brought up or are dying so they float to the top. Most of the time, however, they sink and become food for the scavengers who patrol the ocean floor. I have no idea why I remember so many random giant squid facts. Lol!! But I looked up what the largest one was and confirmed their lifespan because I wasn't sure if I remembered that correctly. I retain the most random information and spit it out years after learning it without talking about it in-between. Haha!! My sister gets so annoyed (and amazed) on long road trips when I just come up with that stuff out of nowhere. Have a great day!
O@@ParaRob I was wondering if that was a video- I thought it might be. With the latest technology it's hard to tell- especially on a YT video!. Thanks. It was very well done 🙂
@user-cn6de7xe2o it is very hard to tell! It looks very realistic on TH-cam video. Even in person, it looks realistic, but you can see the screen. I agree. It was very well done. I appreciate your kind response!
There is a new Aquarium being built near me in Utica, Michigan call the LegaSea Aquarium that you must go to when it opens ! A big reptile TH-camr who has millions of subscribers owned it but he passed away a few months ago before it was finished. This is a huge deal in my town and you can watch the progress on the channel and then see the finished progress. They currently operate a reptarium across the street as well. So many more details go into this but that’s just a basic background on this aquarium! Please go to it when it opens in a few months !!!!
Brian Barczyk was such an awesome person!! His work with reptiles and letting people experience them was so special. It's amazing how much he put into the LegaSea Aquarium. I wish he could have seen it completed and been there for the grand opening, but he is definitely watching down from above and he will live on through LegaSea Aquarium forever! I'd love to visit it and his reptarium some day. He was always so positive and so kind. He made so many people smile and will continue to make people smile for many years to come. Thanks for sharing about LegaSea! I hope they have continued success! It is most certainly deserved.
I remember years ago, long before the aquarium, they had an event during the winter for A Christmas Carol on one of the trains. I went back to Union Station back in 2023 to celebrate a friend's birthday. It was a fascinating experience.
That is one awesome aquarium . I loved how they tied in the trains . Most selfie museums I find slightly boring but this one seems to be next level. Loved the different concept in the mirror maze . They have so many things for families to do .The carousel and Ferris wheel. That looks like an awesome restaurant to finish it off. Safe travels Keep Safe ❤Keep Well❤
It’s been so cool to see you stay in one city for a while. Especially a midwestern one. I’d love to see more midwestern content. You’re finally somewhere within driving distance for me.
Jacob thank you for sharing this. This is one of the most unique and beautiful aquariums I’ve ever seen. Maybe someday I can go there and go through it and surely seems to be an experience. Thank you for sharing. Take care and be safe.🫶🏻🤠
Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach, CA is top tier in my opinion. Literally some gorgeous tanks and animals. Plus the area around it is extremly explorable.
It's just great to see aquarium is adapting to the current technology 🫶 just amazing. Also you don't need the luggage props because you always with luggage all the time 😊😂
When it gets warmer, I would recommend Mystic Aquarium in Mystic, CT if you haven't been to it yet. They are one of the only US aquariums with beluga whales. Plus, you are close by to Mystic Seaport, which is a great historic museum.
OMG- that aquarium is amazing!! You and I share an absolute LOVE for the aquariums and zoos. I saw some animals I've never seen in an aquarium- especially in that deep sea exhibit!! Was that a REAL giant squid, or some clever CGI? I didn't know you could even keep those in captivity! Awesome!! Love the squids and octopus. I'd seen some of the "deep sea" creatures on exhibit in Monterey, CA, but not the squid!! Or the Ceanothus!! Thank you so much!! 😀🥰
When you are in Cincinnati, you should have went to the Newport aquarium. And as a big zoo and aquarium person , I definitely love seeing more of that here on the channel
WOW This was a Great Fun so much Entertainment packed into one day. Love the Aquarium, train Expo Experience and and the Rides. Thank you for an Amazing Day Awesome Video. Congratulations for your Newest Edition to your Family Baby Nephew. Safe Travels have a Wonderful time with your Family💙👶
15 years ago driving southern Indiana near Ohio river daytime saw the strangest thing run across the road about a football field in front of me until today it was my own personal cryptid now I realize it was a really big river otter
I love when big cities have a Big wheel or big ferris wheel like the one in London so cool to experience ❤ only been on one once quite the views you get ❤❤❤❤
You should check out the Newport Aquarium in Newport Kentucky. Its small but it’s affordable, fun and right across the river from Cincinnati. Although maybe wait for the renovations to be done though
Well, Jacob, if you're looking for cool aquariums to check out, I'd say be on the lookout if you're ever in Connecticut! I think Mystic Aquarium is very nice, and there's also the Old Mystic Village and the Mystic Seaport. I highly recommend them all, especially since I volunteered at Mystic Seaport for a few summers about a decade ago now. Additionally, if you're still in a train mood, Essex Steam Train & Riverboat is a nice stop in Connecticut as well. And if you _do_ head up to Mystic Seaport, watch out for the Charles W. Morgan. Old whaling ship, and she still smells like it, ha ha
Still think it would be cool to see Jacob doing a series where he travels from one side of America to the other (yes can be stressful but be a experience 😅) and would make an interesting watch .
The Polar Express event is such a great time! You should come back and check it out. They do hot chocolate and cookies and sing Christmas carols on the train while it chugs along the tracks. It'd make for a great video! Thanks for all you do, Jacob! Your travels are always fun to watch and I've been able to visit many of the places you've featured while taking road trips with the family. A year or two ago, I was visiting places just a week before or a week after you were there. I'll bump into you at one of them sometime down the road. Best wishes to you!
The train shed has always been open aired. When it reopened as a shopping center in '85 it was also kinda of train themed also. That soda shop use to be a Hard Rock Cafe. That train you saw was Metrolink it's our lightrail transit system.
I wanna visit I love stuff like this looks like a good time love seas life and creatures lol thanks for posting what was you favorite part of this much love to you and Jenn hope all is well God bless
Hey there Jake you should check out The Newport Aquarium in Newport Kentucky. Very fun place to go for a date or just something fun because they have a room where you can pet stingrays and a baby shark. And definitely check out the shark bridge very fun.
A bit of trivia...the narrator at the aquarium on the "train" is none other than brilliant actor John Goodman!
I was trying to figure out who the familiar voice belonged to!
I thought that was him but i wasn't entirely certain
@@anelson8856 oh wow I didn't know that
Yep. John was born in St Louis and went to college there also.
I thought it sounded like him! I just figured that he was an awful big name to do u credited narration at an aquarium
John Goodman considers STL his hometown. He is involved with a lot of stuff around town!
I hope my dad can see this aquarium from heaven ❤❤❤❤
I'm sure he can and is smiling from above. Best wishes to you and your dad in heaven. ❤️
Aw I know he's loving it
I almost spit out my coffee when you said JUMP SCARED BY A COW!😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Hi Jacob 🙋🏽. Thank You for inviting me to watch your video ‼️ have a wonderful day ‼️💓
I love how they use that cool train ride to transition from the train station to the aquarium, and the amazing ceiling screen, so much cool stuff to do.
Im currently in a manic episode making a mess of everything. Your videos give me some hope of grounding and I can’t express my appreciation enough.
Hope you're doing well
@@zupzipzoo9879 well aren’t you kind! I’m doing better now, thank you!

My father was big in trains 🚂 too bad he wasn’t alive to appreciate this aquarium ❤❤❤

I love your "river dancing" lol and your "jazz hands" LOL You bring a smile to our day! Thank you :)
I would so recommend this place to everyone ❤❤❤❤

I love watching aquarium videos they are relaxing
Union Station has changed a lot since I was there long ago as a kid!
Atlanta Georgia has a nice aquarium

I visited Union Station years ago while it was mostly a mall. It is great that they were able to repurpose it as an aquarium and other attractions.
Jacob, Thank you for showcasing my hometown so well!! Highlights of St. Louis are wonderful to see
Morning Jacob 🌞😊 the aquarium looks great at the union station. The fishes 🤓🐟🐠🐡🦞🦈

Hey Jacob, it has been a while since I stayed at the Union station Hotel, but they used to do a light show in the lobby. It was awesome! 🎆🎇❤

I never knew about St. Louis hosting the Worlds Fair and the Olympics. It’s a pretty fun place to explore.
Great video! If you love aquariums, one of the best in the country is the National Aquarium in Baltimore, Maryland. It’s my personal favorite!
If you’ve never heard about the 1904 summer Olympic marathon, I’d definitely recommend researching it. It was wild!
