Greg Schultz, It’s a great thing to pass on to your daughter, the gift of gardening & cutting firewood, most people, have no clue where food comes from ,or heat to keep you warm , been watching your TH-cam for a while , Nice Job You guys do , Got to go now , got to watch more of your videos !! How about a morel hunting video , We’re getting closer , Take Care
Dude, you always do what you can to help your neighbors, and these videos sharing what you've learned with the world, you have a healthy, happy family...I obviously don't know you personally, but these are not "introvert" qualities. The fact that you're worried about being too introverted kinda adds to the likelihood that you're not one.
Welcome back Eric.... Missed your video's. Missed seeing Grace having a blast. And your wife sure knows how to make your viewers hungry. Take your time with the video's, we all know another good one will be uploaded soon enough....
Thank you for stressing safety and caution when cutting anything not on the ground. My brother in law ended up in a wheel chair because he was cutting a big limb and it bounced up and hit him.
Glad to see you back. I have the same issue that if it's down but not split it just won't be dry. I burn indoors compared to my crew with outdoor boilers so they struggle with the idea of this quest for "dry" wood. Planning my garden now...spring is around the corner!
Doing a great job Eric. Yes, I remember that storm in 2011. I still have trees around here that are bent all the way over just like the ones you showed.
Here in NE Kansas we haven't had a decent snow in 4 yrs. Everything is dry as a bone right now. Ripe for brush fires. Two weeks ago the neighbor 3 miles away lost his house to brush fire caused by brush hog striking a spark on rocks!
I understand when it gets cold and wet, I start to renovate another room in my home. 8 June every year I give myself 6 months to finish it then have 6 months rest before I start the next project. I don't like winter but this gives me something to look towards. Before you know its coming into summer again. Love your channel
I'll get there one day! We don't have enough roofed space to store that much wood under cover. Glad you guys are doing well! Don't worry 'bout the introspection time... I think this winter has affected a lot of us that way.
Nice to see you back Eric. Would love to see a video on fixing the Cub Cadet. I have a 149 myself. Caused me some trouble last winter but it’s been plowing like a dream this year.
Good to see you loading more content. We used to love going geocaching... we kind of fell out of it when we moved onto our homestead. I can sympathize with the introvert kicking in... it's been a struggle for me too... very up and down on what to share. Take care!
Great update video buddy! Really like the room you finished up, looks great. My snowblower is in the same state right now...thankfully most of the snow should be done for the year. Cheers buddy😆
Hey, nice to see ya, thanks for the video. Glad to hear that all is well except for the Cub Cadet, hope you get it running again. See ya on the next one.
did you guy have a big problem with the ash bore in your area? we lost pretty much all our Ash trees in Michigan. Emerald ash bore was a big problem state wide.
Hey, Eric. Do you think you could put together a video (or point me at it, if you've already made one) about your whole firewood storage process? Like field to pole barn to... & how long at each & when you move it? We're getting ready to rebuild our whole system this summer, and it has me really curious about the best long-term system. Thanks!
Hey Eric, I know this is an older video, but it reminded me of something I wanted to ask you about bringing firewood into the house. I’m sorry if this sounds like a wimpy question, I just wondered what if anything do you do about NOT bringing in spiders and bugs into the house that may have nested onto the wood. The reason I ask is I’ve noticed that after bringing in a load of wood into my house and stack it , after a day or so when it’s warmed up with the house, I’ve noticed spiders coming out of hibernation and crawling across the living room floor. Not sure if you have that problem, but I’ve started to brush off all of those spider cocoons/nest before bringing into the house now. Wondering if you or anyone else has this problem?
I had that same issue on our cub! But I had no way on getting it back to the garage. It was a carb issue. I took the float bowl off and clean that up and then I put a new spark plug in with adjusted gap and it fired right up.... I don't know why that would be the issue but it was. Maybe junk in the float? Maybe that will be a starting point for you. But totally the same thing that happened to me, but it was -20 out when my died. Lol!, take care bud
Pretty good video. That's a bummer about your cub breaking down. Check for spark with a spark checker. Think you should get a backup plow tractor or a walk behind snow blower?
Looking at your land you probably don't need a 4x4. I have a 2001 Yamaha Big Bear 400 2wd with some pretty aggressive rear tires (Super Swampers) that I have had for two years. I picked it up for $800 and it needed a battery, throttle cable, and a carb kit to make it run well...That's it. I added a Smittybilt XRC 3.0 2500 lb winch that cost $99.00 on sale, mounted to a $44.00 KFI mounting plate. For less than $1200.00 I have a machine that makes me able to do what needs doing in the mountains of north Georgia on my itty bitty farm, raising pigs. Dragging good sized logs, winching the ones I can't drag, stretching fencing, hauling feed...Saves my butt. It makes a 63 year old man with 4 heart attacks behind him able to keep doing what I love.

Welcome back! I feel your pain with the snow. Back in 2016, here in Rhode Island we got 108" of snow!
Been a long winter but can feel we have made the turn. :)
Good to see you again ERIC, missing wood heat wednesday LOL !!!!
Wise words. Another great video.
Really enjoy your videos! Thanks for sharing your knowledge about farm life! I live the same in northern Minnesota! Looking forward for more videos!

That music sounds like "Are you with me"...by Lost frequencies...:)
No kidding. I didn't notice it until you said that. lol
Ha! There you guys are. And first to comment - crazy. Hope all is well. Introvert mode - completely understand that.
:)
nice :-) take care
Show off that old truck a little more, nice job!
Pilot jet is clogged on the cub cadet . Air compressor blow gun it clean stop using ethanol fuel
I think ash smell like olives. They are in the olive family. Oleaceae
hold the bus...i just found the link in your other videos...thanks..:)
Sounds like you to invest in a plow truck
You need an ATV guy...
I have a yamaha warrior. Not the most ideal machine for the work I want to get done. Been really thinking about picking up an old 4x4 down the road.

Great video
