நெல்லையப்பர் கோவில் ஆனித் தேரோட்டம் 2023 Tirunelveli Nellaiappar Kovil Aani Therottam 2023

தென் தமிழ்நாட்டில் வற்றாது வளங்கொழிக்கும் தாமிரபரணி என வழங்கும் தண்பொருநை ஆற்றின் பாங்காய் அமைந்துள்ளது. திருநெல்வேலி என்னும் புண்ணியதலம் இது. பாண்டி நாட்டில் பதினான்கு பாடல்பெற்ற சிவத்திருத்தலங்களில் ஒன்றாகும். தமிழகத்தில் மிகவும் பிரசித்தி பெற்ற சிவன் கோவில்களில் ஒன்றான அருள்மிகு சுவாமி நெல்லையப்பர் காந்திமதி அம்பாள் திருக்கோயில், சுமார் 2000 ஆண்டுகள் பழமை வாய்ந்த கோவிலாகும்.
முன்னொரு காலத்தில் வேத சர்மா இறைவனுக்கு திருவமுது படைக்க காயப்போட்டிருந்த நெல், மழையினால் நனையாதபடி வேலியிட்டு காத்ததால் இறைவன் நெல்வேலி நாதா் என சிறப்பு பெயா் பெற்று ஊருக்கு திருநெல்வேலி என பெயா் ஏற்பட்டது.
ஒன்பதாம் நாள் திருவிழாவான இன்று, ஆனித்தேரோட்டம் வெகுவிமரிசையாக நடைபெற்றது. இதனையொட்டி கோவில் நடை அதிகாலை திறக்கப்பட்டு சுவாமி அம்பாளுக்கு சிறப்பு அபிஷேக அலங்காரம் செய்யப்பட்டு, தேருக்கு எழுந்தருளினார்.
புண்ணிய திருத்தலத்தலமான நெல்லையப்பர் கோவிலின் சிகர நிகழ்ச்சியாக இந்த ஆண்டிற்கான 517வது ஆனிபெருந்தேர்த் திருவிழா ஜுலை 2ஆம் தேதி ஞாயிற்றுக் கிழமை 2023 வெகு சிறப்பாக நடைபெற்றது. ஆசியாவிலேயே அதிக எடை கொண்ட பெரிய தேரான நெல்லையப்பர் தேர் உட்பட 5 தேர்கள் விண்ணை முட்டும் பக்தி முழக்கங்களோடு, பல்லாயிரக்கணக்கான பக்தர்கள் தேரை வடம் பிடித்து இழுத்தனர்.
In southern Tamil Nadu, there is a bank of the Thanpooranai river, which is known as the perennial thamirabarani. This is a holy place called Tirunelveli. Pandi is one of the fourteen temples of Lord Shiva in the country. Arulmigu Swami Nellaiappar Gandhimathi Ambal Temple, one of the most famous Shiva temples in Tamil Nadu, is a 2000-year-old temple.
Once upon a time, Veda Sarma protected the paddy that was dried to offer thiruvamuthu to lord thiruvamuthu so that it was not wet by the rain, hence the name of lord nelveli naathar was given the special name of lord nelveli naathar and the place got the name tirunelveli.
On the ninth day of the festival today, the Aani therottam was celebrated in a grand manner. On this occasion, the temple was opened early in the morning and special abishek was performed to Lord Ambal and he ascended to the chariot.
The 517th Aaniperunther festival for this year was held on Sunday, July 2, 2023, as the peak event of the holy shrine of Nellaiappar Temple. Five chariots, including the Nellaiappar car, the heaviest car in Asia, were pulled by thousands of devotees with sky-rocketing devotional chants.
