I also wanted to sort out the confusion that some think I’m a man, so for the record I’m not a guy 😄
It is amazing how you can understand this song of 2 different ways... the original when you were young, "I don't care nothing, it is my life" and now growing up "it is my life, enjoy it because I ain't gonna live forever"...... Master piece
Bon Jovi never disappoints.... First listened to the original version of this song when I was 17 years old. Now I am 41 years old and still loving it...
They've always been touch with their acoustic power. They were one of the first bands leading the MTV acoustic vanguard back in the day with killer performances of "Wanted Dead or Alive" and others.
His voice has aged, sure, but mainly, he blew out his voice years ago because of poor singing technique. I think it was during the slippery when wet tour. By contrast, listen to Bruce Dickinson of iron maiden. He sings as well as ever and still hits all the high notes. Not really trying to criticize, just make an observation.
I lost my first wife in 2007. She was 34 and died from complications of Diabetes. I remember being right where you are. Even though I am remarried and having two beautiful daughters, I still think about the wife I lost. Your wife will always be a part of you, but you will get passed this point, and things will get better. Allow yourself the time to deal with the grief, but don't isolate yourself. Be with family and friends. God bless you and may God be with you during this difficult time.
A echarle muchas ganas. Ésto no es fácil. Mi esposo murió hace 9 años y todavía lo extraño mucho. Afortunadamente yo no soy depresiva. La vida continúa. Yo ya no me casé y vivo sola en México. Él fué el mejor marido en 43 años de casados.
This version has so much emotion behind it. It makes the song even more special for me. It used to be my grandfather's favorite song, he alway played it when I was young. My grandfather was the most important person in my life and he passed away from cancer when I was only 11 years old. He looked and sounded a lot like Bon Jovi so hearing them makes me remember my grandfather, it's like Bon Jovi keep him alive
I also lost my grandpa to cancer when I was 11. No one told me he was sick so you can imagine how hard it struck me when I was told and being so young. It's comforting to see someone else sharing such a similar situation
All my childhood heroes getting older, words aren't enough to express how much i love this band. Jon Bon Jovi, You ain't gonna live forever but your songs gonna live forever. Much love
I love you Bon jovi I listen to your songs when I mowe grass .when I go to bed on car radio when ever I can I love this song your singing your younger days or even now don't matter it's your singing.god bless you keep up the good work.❤
Hearing people talk about how old he looks and all these things…. People forget old age is a privilege not a guarantee, be thankful for the time you have 🙏❤️

Umm his daughter totally OD on heroine... Money, fame but classy daddy was barely there for 18 years... So do you think, as a parent, he would've rather HIM OD on heroine or his daughter?
@@tiffanysmith1465 Many people turn stupid when they turn eighteen. The devil attacks the young and impressionable. It doesn't matter how good or bad a parent is. A person must take responsibility for their own actions. If they blame everyone else, they will not be happy in life. She probably had an awesome childhood, but didn't appreciate what God and her parents blessed her with. Eighteen is too old to be blaming others for one's own stupidity.

First it was like "hell yeah we rock and have fun" Now this is sounds like thank you and goodbye. And i'm sorry but bon jovi will live for ever. Legends never die.
To be honest I don’t understand why everyone is being so negative about this, saying it’s hard to see him now, singing this song so differently and referencing it to him being older now. I mean look at this man. He is not even 60 years old and to me he doesn’t seem like an old, broken man who is about to die any day now. He still looks so damn good. If he were to dye his hair, you wouldn’t even think that he is 58. His voice is different today, yes, but even that could be repaired if he seriously wanted to. In my opinion, this man is at the peak of his life and he has many, many more happy and successful years to come. I don’t like looking at it like he’s a walking dead man. He is still more attractive and charismatic than 99% of the „young“ men these days. This is an entirely different version of the song, but I’d like to see it as a calmer and more grown up version, than the original one. Love the song, love the band, love the man.
I think this version is so good, deep, full of a live´experience. The meaning of the words are so much stronger now he lived (a part) of his life. Love the voice too. Love him as a singer and as a human being.
Couldn't agree more! Its irrational to think that 20 years after wouldn't change his appearance or voice. I wish i could be as healthy as him if i reach 60 years old!
Its actually more than incredible! The old version shows that action, power and determination is important for living life, while this version shows that emotion, calm, inner strength and beauty is important for living life... If you ask me. I love it!
Bon Jovi isn't the same without Richie in the band. He wasn't just a great guitar player, his vocals added so much to the sound, and he's a great songwriter too.
Very sad indeed, the band hasn’t been the same since he left. Hate to say it but I lost interest after lost Highway. Still love everything before that though, and thankfully live in Australia where they are still rocking the radio 👍
This is one of the best acoustic versions I have ever heard of this song. His voice is so angelic and it sounds so divine. This song reminds of my youth and each time I hear it brings back some vivid memories and my eyes glistens. God Bless Bon Jovi.
@@paulinotou I get mad when people whine and bitch about it, but I'll bet they've never worked that hard in their lives. The songs from the new album sound great, they've been arranged so that his voice isn't pushed so much. I know he'd love to be able to sing like he did 35 years ago, and I have a LOT of things that I wish I could do that I did 35 years ago. We all break down eventually. Thanks for your comment timmy!
Better? Lol I'm pretty sure it was a joke because he was bored. He did bad on purpose. It was meant to be comical and people think he's serious. You seriously think he's serious? Lmao
My parents listened to this before I was born. And now I am. A shame I can’t see all the bands they love in their prime but I still love listening to them.
Don't lie to yourself, he has lost a lot of his voice. He's had a bad technique throughout the years and now it caught up to him. He no longer has his higher belts, no more rocky grit to his voice and he sounds very constricted and short of breath. Every vocal coach will tell you the same thing.
Bonjovi and Guns and Roses is a band rock that I like and I love. It doesn't matter even though Axl and Jon's voices have faded but their name and their voice will never fade in my heart, you guys are truly extraordinary
I dont understand all the comments about age. Jon you still sing better than I do. We are all getting old, if you're lucky. And you'll be lucky to live to be old. Aging is part of life. Jon you doing it better than anyone I know. Keep up the good work

It's great how lyrics hit deeper when things are slowed down.
My Wife tells me that Bon Jovi hits her real deep too. He is just an amazing Artist.
@@skippy3029 Bro that sounds wrong.
Imagine that with any Slayer's song? 🤣
Exactly
@Vickie very true
I can’t believe how Bon Jovi’s songs become so soulful as acoustic versions. Hits you deep down so much more harder. Beautiful.
They've always been touch with their acoustic power. They were one of the first bands leading the MTV acoustic vanguard back in the day with killer performances of "Wanted Dead or Alive" and others.
Forever handsome!
Yes. Reminds me of the album “This Left Feels Right”
Good songs will stand an acoustic version. Crap songs not so much :)
He's got an amazing voice
His Voice aged but not the talent and spirit as a singer.
Legend will be legend.

My wife died last year and i have suffered depression last then. Your music is the way to survive. Thank you for that.
O God bless you and your wife in heaven, bud. Live long and happy for your dear wife
Better days will come my friend, stay strong, for her, and for you!
God bless you. Don't give up. She wants you to live. You will see her again some day. ❤️
@Barun Nongmaithem shut up
To be honest I don’t understand why everyone is being so negative about this, saying it’s hard to see him now, singing this song so differently and referencing it to him being older now.

He's magical here.

Music these days sucks and he made a classic and made it immortal😍

He hasn't lost his voice, it's just matured with him. Like fine wine, it's better with age. He was, is, and will always be great.
Don't lie to yourself, he has lost a lot of his voice. He's had a bad technique throughout the years and now it caught up to him. He no longer has his higher belts, no more rocky grit to his voice and he sounds very constricted and short of breath. Every vocal coach will tell you the same thing.
To say it's better is just being delusional

mate, whichever way you look at it, he's a fucking legend
and let's not even get into shit like, shot through the heart which was 36 years ago and roulette and she don't know me
i once wondered as a child of around 14 years old or so , what will it be like one day if Jon gets old (this was in the slippery days)
well.. i guess now i know
and i promise you this..... When jon passes, it's gonna be a fucking sad day for me (and i'm sure a lot of others)
all our gods are getting on their way
Jon and bon jovi, including Richie
Kiss
ACDC
Metallica
the big 4
and i can't help but wonder , what the fuck is the world gonna be left with in around 40 years.
Justin fucking bieber and Lil fucking wayne
and then these kids who are the generation after those artists WHO HAVE NEVER BEEN EXPOSED TO ANYTHING DECENT
What the fuck are they going to amount to and what are they going to produce musically if they decide to become artists
Seriously, to quote THE BREAKFAST CLUB
now.. this is the thought that wakes me up in the night
LOL
i dread the day mate, i dread the day
@@martinkuliza Don't worry too much, I'm 17 and was raised on Bon Jovi as well as many older bands. I know people my age who also love Jon, AC/DC and plenty of other older bands. Although his popularity may diminish he won't die completely. There are still modern artists popping up that are as good as the older ones however they are often obscured but they're there if you look hard enough. Personally, I'm busy rediscovering songs from my childhood like I only recently heard "Pour some sugar on me" despite knowing the name Def Leppard my whole life
@@faceless1434
tha'ts the way mate, i'm proud of you little dude,
Pour some sugar on me, huh, way to go mate.
as for DONT' WORRY TOO MUCH haha
i don't even worry to begin with, let alone, MUCH or TOO MUCH.
lesson... Worrying is a WASTE OF TIME, don't waste your time in life.
Now... it sounds you like have very intelliigent parents,
they gave you a decent and proper upbringing
Bon Jovi, ACDC, maybe even a bit of a KISS
they taught the metal salute \m/ haha
and you see, what you have now... YOU HAVE RESPECT from our generation
and kids today don't get it
let me test you a bit since you said you know def leppard
How about Pink Floyd, another brick in the wall, Dark side of the moon, any of that ring a bell
How about Poision, Unskinny bop or look what the cat dragged in or fallen angel
any of those ring a bell
as for growing up with bon jovi,
ok little dude
here is a question
Question 1. do any of these songs ring a bell
Roulette
she don't know me
Shot through the heart
anything ???
Ok, so... to call yourself a true fan you need to know what these are
Question 2. Do you know the difference between
SHOT THROUGH THE HEART
and
YOU GIVE LOVE A BAD NAME
???
can't call yourself a true fan if you don't
now.. i understand your disability of being 17 and that's fine, but i think your parents would agree that it's our responsibility to educate you little guys
so... you gotta know this stuff if you want to be a true fan, ok
i mean , what album did you even come in on, was it WHAT ABOUT NOW.. BURNING BRIDGES haha... what ?
fuck man, , bon jovi started in 83 ok, and i was 10 years old and proud to say i was there from the beginning
Still god my first album , Bon jovi = Bon Jovi
sorry to go off on a tangent, but .. you're just kinda spinning me out a bit haha
as for musicians of today
yeah... i've looked, there are some
Eminem, Delta Goodrem, Evanescence but the sad thing is , there are not many.
in our day .. TRUTH BE TOLD, and you can ask your parents
what we accepted as normal was this....
Our choices basically were
Awesome... fucking awesome, really good but not awesome
and that was basically it
every now and then and it was rare, you got 1 and i mean 1 that was shit
but let's look our choice
Bon Jovi, Awesome
Poision, Awesome
Skid row, Awesome
Metallica, fucking awesome
megadeth fucking awesome
Mortal sin Awesome
Iron maiden, fucking gods
led zeppelin, fucking gods
Debbie Gibson really good
Samantha fox... every guy want to fuck her (ask your dad haha but don't tell your mum) was her music good, no not really but there were a few songs that were VERY GOOD
i think we have 2 shameful things in our days that we would rather forget and i'm gonna speak the words THEN NEVER SPEAK OF IT AGAIN
RICK ASTLEY
HANSON
and, don't ask me to repeat it
so you see what our choice was
and since there was so much awesome around us, WE ACCEPTED IT AS NORMAL.
so you can understand today when we get shit like
mumble rap
hip hop that isn't really hip hop anymore
musicians that can't even make up original songs
you can understand how boring is it for us, THERE'S NOTHING NEW ANYMORE
Live bands are a thing of the past, we used to go out on a saturday or sunday night and watch live bands THAT WE NEVER HEARD OF
i remember watching , once upon a time and the Metro in sydney THE POOR,
had no fucking idea who they were, they had a song called MORE WINE WAITER PLEASE,
then around 1 month later they are on video hits, which wa a show that we watched, it was a music show
and i was like.. yeah i saw them
and ... R.I.P. we have THE FUCKING BALL
THE HEADBANGERS BALLS this was our fucking show until the pricks cancelled it
again, ask your parents
Everyone watched THE BALL
anyway be cool little dude
keep listening and ROCK ON
and remember , work hard, be good to your mother , listen to heavy metal and hard rock and worship satan haha
WORDS TO LIFE BY MY FRIEND
if that last bit threw you a bit
heads up
it was a joke we had back in the day haha
ask your parents
@@martinkuliza hear me old man. As a russian boy who learned the language not so long ago the culture of the rock and metal sucked me in. From the age 16 I was listening to METALLICA, Bon Jovi, guns n roses, Ozzy Osbourne, Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, AC/DC. Maybe they are knew for you but also Skillet. And you may say everything you want but what is really brought me to be in love with metal was Dio. Queen are one of the greatest rock bands. But as a 19 years old boy i really liked Dio and his lyrics as well as his voice are majestic no matter in which band he was. And from this point i got that im a rock n metal fan.
@@RubInWax
"OLD MAN" LMFAO ROFL, i'm not old, i'm 46.
if you think i'm old, then it means that you're young LOL
funny how life is like that
Secondly.. NEVER NEVER EVER NEVER NEVER MAKE THE MISTAKE OF SPELLING METALLICA THE WRONG WAY
in the 80s we bashed people for that
and i think if you were in compton during the 80s and you couldn't spell NWA i'm pretty sure they killed you hahaha
so... it's spelled METALLICA not mettalica
and you always have to spell it with capital letters haha
and it has to be bold like this *METALLICA*
i mean you were able to spell , Bon Jovi, guns n roses, Ozzy Osbourne, Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, AC/DC, so there is not excuse for spelling METALLICA wrong.
ok... now to business....
you said about
, Bon Jovi, guns n roses, Ozzy Osbourne, Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, AC/DC
MAYBE THEY ARE NEW TO ME
LOL
what ??????? ummm whaaaaattttttttt ?
WTF ????
no, of course not they are like 30 years old to me
i was there from the beginning of all of them, except sabbath, i listened to sabbath but am not old enough to have been there since the bands started.
of course they are not new to me .
as for DIO
ahhh yes, well.. if you're gonna fall in love with metal DIO is a good place to start, 100%
R.I.P. Ronnie James Dio, without him (or, to be correct, his grandmother) we wouldn't have \m/ \m/
imagine metal without the salute haha.. holy fuck
so.. good on you my friend
keep rocking on mate.
JBJ- He is still a Phenomenal one at this age! And the Musicians in his band too! Love from Bangladesh!
Love from France
He's not that old lol. He's 58.
@@cathyskywalker77 there are people pushing 70 outperforming him
Eric Adams, Rob Halford and Ozzy Osbourne all come to mind
The angels voice never dies. It only becomes stronger over time. I can’t say that I grew up with Bon Jovi because I’m only 15 but these words just hit differently. It’s truly an amazing gift that I have the chance to listen to that angelic voice ever day. Thank god Legends never die.
I prefer when he was in his prime, But we all grow old sooner or later.
Yes
Bon Jovi fan for life love this version it has brought some soul searching As he says "Its my life and im gonna live whiles am alive" Love you Bon jovi.

Bon Jovi never get old, he's still young forever!!!.

I love the end smile of Jon, you are still our star even if you reach 80 years old 😄😍😍 we will still listen to you and enjoy.
we grown up with your voice, you are part of our life and you will always be our super star, much love Jon.♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️🌹
This hits different man, melancholy fills my long dead heart and beats again... Atleast for a few minutes.
Its been a hell of ride Mr. Jovi, and we're still here. Unbent, unbroken, still not backing down.
A toast to you and your legacy!.

DANKE JON. Du bist ein toller Mensch.
together my teenager with this song. now i'm 30s, this version is more touching different way
Right
Same here damnt..
His voice is the only thing that aged nothing else because Bon will always be a legend
But it's not horrible like other aging rockers
He sounds great
Better the sebastian bach
Amen bro...
If you see them live he still sounds incredible, different than he used to, but still awesome
@@habanero6332 lots of aging rockes have more issues, his voice is still better than several that can be named
@@habanero6332 your opinion is acceptable. but you have to admit it still sounds great. I'd also like to hear something you sing about, you say you're four years older than him and you sing well. can you pass your channel to visit it?
