Considering Jon is still recovering from vocal cord surgery and didnt know if he would ever be able to sing again, I am so excited to see him on stage singing!

Well the surgery was 2 years ago, but he can still sing the songs he recently wrote, like Legendary, but he can’t really sing all his old hits like You Give Love A Bad Name, and Living On A Prayer. So it wasn’t really a big deal for him to sing that night because it was one song and a song he wrote for the way his voice sounds now. But his voice isn’t there anymore to be able to sing his old hits from the 80’s and 90’s

When a 62 year old has a better quality sound than the finalists(yes he might not be able to sing those high notes) but still Bon Jovi's voice at 62 still has power and depth. I still remember his 1987 concert. imagine the raw power in his voice 37 years ago. Kids these days have no clue what a real concert even is. 😢

@@PumpinggainzNartistic He had a problem with his vocal cords, the surgery is supposed to have helped him singing (he also recorded the last Bon Jovi record after the surgery!)
@@PumpinggainzNartistic the problem was that a the left side of his vocal cord has atrophied, which means it became so overused so it thinned out and is almost collapsing. That's why over the past years he couldn't sing well.
If you listen to Legendary or Living Proof, you'll notice his voice is full again
Jon is much more confident in his voice he is no longer struggling seems like all the work he has put is paying off.. And yes he wont be able to sing all the high notes as he used to but this is still great i would love to see a concert in this current voice condition
A few years ago I would've said Jon wouldn't of braved going onto a singing show and preform. To see him now doing this with so much confidence and absolutely owning that stage make me so happy for him!
Just that smile shows that Jon Bon Jovi is back. He might not sing the ball-squeezing last refrain of Livin' On A Prayer anymore - who can? But he's back! Voice control, glimpse in his eye. If we could only get Richie Sambora back with him, even only for guest appereances like the Stones did with Mick Taylor 10 years ago, that would be great!

My most heartfelt congratulations to all, to the judges who selected them, and to the whole technical team for getting Jack Blocker in. You were all fantastic.

Yes, thank you to Luke Bryan and the audition support crew for standing up for Jack Blocker. He was fun. And how appropriate that Katy Perry sang a duet with Jack on the Finale... she owed him an apology, and that was the best way to give it.

What is he recovering from? He looked and sounded good. And I almost didn't recognize Will even though I saw the hat cause his hair looked amazing! This was a wonderful performance for all of them.

You can clearly hear the rasping in his voice and he was singing a song already made to suit his most recent capabilities: low and slow. I wouldn't say that he recovered. He's working hard and i believe that he will get the best results possible.

He's certainly not completely healed, but it's undeniable that he couldn't have done this a few years ago. He's getting his tools back.
Most of you are quite young but back when Bon Jovi was huge and had hit after hit on the charts, they were considered at the time to be posers and people that liked "real" rock and roll dismissed them as something barely above a boy band. I always liked them and didn't care what my peers thought. But it's taken them a long time to get to this "legend" status.

I haven't watched American Idol since Season 14 when I was following Jax that year and she wound up in the Top 3. But wow, seeing Jon come out on that stage in 2024 felt like such a full-circle moment, for me at least.
I was first truly introduced to Bon Jovi when the band mentored the contestants of Season 6. My favorites that year were Blake Lewis, Melinda Doolittle, and Chris Richardson...and I honestly loved their takes on Bon Jovi's tracks like Blake Lewis' beatboxing rendition of You Give Love a Bad Name and Melinda's "take it to church" cover of Have a Nice Day. I remember when I had senior sign-out days in high school, I would hightail it up to the library on top of the hill adjacent to the school and plug my earbuds into one of the computers and eagerly rewatch their unique performances from Bon Jovi Night. They impacted me so much, I spent one evening in my room listening to Bon Jovi sitting on my floor with a notebook and pencils, doing some thematic fan art of Melinda Doolittle centered around her Bon Jovi Night performance from the show. Listening to more of the band's catalog myself over time, I purchased my first Bon Jovi CD from the now-defunct K-Mart, One Wild Night Live and blasted it in my room on my stereo system. Soon I was hooked and mesmerized by their music, and it wasn't before long I purchased their Have a Nice Day CD at Walmart when I was out shopping one day with my Mom and two younger sisters. Watching the official music videos for Have a Nice Day and It's My Life further cemented Bon Jovi as my top number one favorite band ever. Even delving into Richie Sambora's solo works like Ballad of Youth and Every Road Leads Home to You has introduced me to some motivational gems.
Over the years I bought more of their albums and have loved just about all of them. There's always been something appealing to me on each of their albums, never anything disappointing. My parents knew how much they meant to me and how much I wanted to see them in concert. I've always been the bigger fan of Bon Jovi, but my Dad would play You Want to Make a Memory in the car with me taking me to high school in my senior year of 2007, and he always enjoyed playing Who Says You Can't Go Home when making his bed in his room on his stereo. On Christmas morning in 2012, I opened up a gift from my parents that included 2 tickets to see them on their Because We Can tour stop here in New Jersey and a pair of binoculars so I could see the band better from the higher seats. It was practically a dream come true in those moments unwrapping kne of the most thoughtful gifts I had ever received from anyone. The next year I watched their free live streamed concert from Cleveland and was getting amped about their concert date in July. However, little did anyone know as fate would have it, the date of the concert my Mom had purchased the tickets for...would be the very date we wound up holding funeral services for her, having passed away just ten days before her birthday from a courageous and hard fought two-year battle with a rare form of pancreatic cancer. No one could have ever predicted that would've happened, and especially in the way it did. I wound up selling the tickets to my aunt's friend, so that I could attend my Mom's services and so the tickets wouldn't go to waste. Ever since then, Bon Jovi has truly been there for me in spirit through their vast library of music both new and old. I still say that Have a Nice Day is my life anthem, along with It's My Life. They've gotten me through some tough times and hardships that have nearly broken me completely since my Mom's passing. And now, it's been three years that my Dad passed on too from kidney failure...exactly eight years and one day after my Mom passed on. He missed her immensely for so long, and suffered multiple close calls with his health in the years that had followed her passing. If that's not true love, I don't know what is. He told us one day in June of 2021 when we visited him in rehab, about a month beforehe passed, "If something happens to me, just know I'm out there looking for your Mom." My Dad was like my best friend I'd ever had, we both took care of each other, and he too knew how much Bon Jovi has meant to me.
My sisters and I have been struggling in the time since, dealing in our own ways with the fact that both our parents are no longer physically here, gone at such relatively young ages (Mom at 54, Dad at 62). And for the past few years, music has been an integral part of my own personal healing process. Bon Jovi continues to be an uplifting force of positivity, empowerment, confidence, and reflection and will most certainly continue to do so for as long as my own heart beats on this Earth. I'm so thankful for them, I wish I had the opportunity to meet them or at least Jon himself to tell them how much their gift for connecting with others and touching the lives of countless others such as myself has genuinely meant to me. I've been living on a prayer for the past while now, just as my parents always did in how strong they kept our family together and held on to keep us going despite their own health issues and financial difficulties. Wouldn't be here without them, without God and Jesus, and if it weren't for Bon Jovi, I often wonder if I'd find my own Earthly physical and mental health disabilities far more overwhelming than they already have proven to be enough of an everyday challenge for me. Years ago, my aunt, my Dad's sister, gifted me with a framed photographic mosaic of Jon in his younger years belting it out into the microphone clutched in his hands, made up of a vast array of small tiles of Bon Jovi album covers that's still hanging up on my wall in my room...and just seeing it every day reminds me to be thankful for another chance at life and thinking of all the blessings I've been fortunate to have in my life.
I'm so proud of Jon for not giving up in his encouraging fight to keep on singing, and while he's still got some work to do, he's not sounded this commendably great in a live performance in so many years. His fight to do his best and be his best continues to inspire me, along with his music and his philanthropy and outlook on life...and as their song reminds us to do, I definitely want to "keep the faith." Looking forward to receiving my signed copy of the special edition of their newest album Forever next month.
From one Jersey boy to another, keep on staying Legendary, Jon and the gang. 🤙 And thank you, from my deepest and sincerest core of my heart. ❤️

I lived in Latvia at that time to get his type was a miracle, and those posters from polish magazines impossible at that time in Latvia. So I was a cool one in those times, because my uncle was abroad and he was sending them to me, after so long still my favorite group
