    So glad it’s 2024 and I can replace this nerd thermostat with one that is simple and intuitive.

      yeah time does not stand still even in HVAC. For what it did it was one of the best of that time period. Hopefully you didn't choose the Nest. You may live to regret that decision. Depending on a long list of variables and various factors too numerous to mention here.

    OK, I am still using this T-stat that I used to have in my House but now in my Apartment. How do I turn off the Adaptive garbage? It turns on my AC during the Peak 4pm-7pm time and costs me $11 each day it does with my 120* AZ ambient temps. I even set the RETURN to 11:45pm trying to eliminate that. I work 2nd shift BTW.

      enter installer set up mode, scroll to 0530 install number and set to 0. If you don't know how to do this find a manual for this thermostat. (they're old and discontinued)

      @@AustinAirCo Yep, thank you. I had the generic owners manual and I have been looking for the info for several weeks. As soon as I commented on this video, 10 minutes later I found another manual that showed the process and had all of the codes to set mine up. Thank you again!

    Need advice. I have a Honeywell Vision Pro and it's been taking a long time for the heat to kick in. It didn't kick in until it hit 58° last night! So I set it to 74° on the 600 setting and 67° on the 610 setting. But it's still not turning on at 67°, still waiting until it hits 58° or 57°. Trying to stay within 67° - 74° range, especially now with these low 20 temperatures of late. 🌨❄

    What if you just want to reset all programs. I moved in to a new home and I want to completely reset all settings

    • @AustinAirCo
      @AustinAirCo  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Watch the video it describes how to reset schedules. Anything above resetting "programmed" schedules, you should hire a licensed HVAC contractor in your area.

    How do you reset the thermostat back to factory settings

    • @AustinAirCo
      @AustinAirCo  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Unfortunately telling you how isn't in my best interest for the kinds of trouble it could produce on my end. It's important to set the thermostat according to the equipment for which it is controlling. This should only be done in person by a qualified HVAC contractor in my professional opinion. A mile in my shoes sort of thing. I'm here to fix them, not tell you how. There are trade schools for that if you want to learn it the right way. (not being in my service area is not a useable excuse, sorry)

    May I ask if you can edit fan mode either on or auto setting during each wake, leave, return or sleep scheduling program? Thank you!

    Thanks for the video. Very well done. Is there anybody on TH-cam that could instruct us on how to program this same model thermostat to kick on to propane when the temperature outside drops below 32 degrees but yet use electricity when it's above?

  • @AustinAirCo
    @AustinAirCo  11 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    In that case we would recommend that you find and hire a Licensed HVAC contractor in your area to go over this in person.

    I wish more thermostats would have a feature to lock the heat if it is say above 65 outside and lock the cool if it is say below 40 degrees outside. Honeywell will turn the heat on even when it is 80 outside. This can happen when there is a temporary cooling override to say 69 inside, when it expires and goes back to the scheduled setpoint it may turn the heat on to warm it to the scheduled setpoint. Another example is a business that opens later in the morning. It may be 68 inside, but if it is already 71 outside we don't need the heat to come on. We all know it will warm up quick without needing to run the heat. So stupid Honeywell doesn't have this simple feature even though some have an outside sensor.

      Unfortunately anything beyond what the video provides would be service call related (costs money). This particular thermostat is considered old by today's standards. If you live in the Katy, Texas area you can schedule service by calling me. Thanks for watching the video.

    I thought wake ment, when the Heat pump was suppose to start.
    From this video I learned, wake means the set temperature will be accomplished by the unit by the time it's wake up time.

    • @AustinAirCo
      @AustinAirCo  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      yes, wake means when you wake up. Has nothing to do with the system it's attached to. Thanks for the comment.

    • @AustinAirCo
      @AustinAirCo  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      You should probably schedule service with your HVAC contractor and have him go over how to operate your system.

    • @calvindejong4566
      @calvindejong4566 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +AustinAirCo It's probably just a simple installer setting, but which one? I'd like to learn some things about this

    • @AustinAirCo
      @AustinAirCo  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's obviously not that simple, you wouldn't be here. Why take the chance of messing your system up? The configuring of your system should be done in person by a pro... you wouldn't want your auto mechanic to guess would you?

    • @calvindejong4566
      @calvindejong4566 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +AustinAirCo I disconnected the thermostat from the furnace, so it won't do anything bad. It's an older furnace, I'm planning to replace it. I just want to be able to set the fan to circulate, that's all.

    • @AustinAirCo
      @AustinAirCo  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      The fan is part of the furnace, if the thermostat is disconnected from the furnace you can not operate the fan from the thermostat. There are very good reasons why HVAC licensing is required to work on this stuff. I realize some need to learn this the hard way. The video is meant to show 'my customers' how to program the thermostat should that need arise for them... this is well after I've installed the thermostat properly for their equipment and already gone over the operation and features of this thermostat. Call Honeywell... they will tell you to call a HVAC contractor. Again for very good reasons.

    How do i cancel the schedule?

    • @AustinAirCo
      @AustinAirCo  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      you just select your temperature, this will over ride schedule setting (say temporary on stat) to make permanent select hold. To get out of hold select schedule.
