Great stuff as always Will! Anything from David August would be so insightful to see broken down. I'd personally recommend his Boiler Room set as it's a work of art.
You're enthusiasm never dropped for a minute- it makes it so easy to enjoy the whole thing. Also, you seem to have finally employed some lights with warm tint - EXCELLENT idea - you've never looked so good! Wearing dark colours also helped you to look great. Does James Wiltshire see your stuff, I bet he loves it!!
Please continue you these. Production can be a lonely business. It's difficult to put yourself in the shoes of others and see their thought process. But seeing you talk out your ideas here is absolute gold. I don't even make techno or use ableton, but I have so many new ideas now. Thank you

Hey, huge thanks for putting together great video tutorials Will! I really like how you take the time to explain what you are trying to do (the intentions, the "why"s rather than simply the "how"s). This is something that many others don't do well enough, but it adds so much value to the tutorial and to the learning that following along provides. Although most established artists are known for their niche genre, I can't help but think that becoming familiar with a wide range of genres will help me to become a more rounded producer. I'm loving these tutorials. Again, huge thanks!
Very great tutorial Will. I stopped a bit my Radio Ready Course and try to remake these tutorials and I think I learn a lot out of it. Keep posting my dear teacher😎🕺 PS I would like to see a tutorial about the drum rack specific. Dont finds how to control the different effects apart from each other etc. Greetz
If you did &me next......that would be the holy trinity of producers (black coffee, solomun, &me) thanks for taking the time to do these, I find them very inspiring.
lovely tutorial. thanks a lot! which types of effect did you put on the main melody synths for the build up?? sounds really interesting. can spot for sure some reverb and/or chorus. but maybe there is more. thanks for this great one
Hell YEAH. Nice track! For the next cover, what about something along the lines of Jerome Isma-Ae & Alastor? I especially love "Wilde" - though how you'll do those two in emoticons is beyond me.
Nice tutorial overall mate. I tend to watch these things from time to time to pick new techniques every here and then. You should make a quick introduction about what makes a specific artist sound like he does to get into the context of how you're using certain elements instead of others since that's what will end up defining the genre. Because let's be honest here, this doesn't sound like anything Solomun had put out and I've been following his work since the Eiszauber and Feuervogel releases with Stimming, back in 2007 if memory doesn't trick me. It's better to pick a genre instead of a specific artist. Anyways, kudos to you my friend. Keep it up!
Thanks for the honest and constructive feedback! I did mention some of the certain production style characteristics right near the beginning, though. In terms of not sounding like Solomun, this was the track I took inspiration from: th-cam.com/video/xCdnK0rjDXs/w-d-xo.html
Hell yeah 😎👌💪. Could we have a classic like a track in the style of Arman van helden or Daft Punk. Would love to see you use an old skool loop, chop it up and create something cool

Another great concise tutorial. Thank you - Next up if you can decipher N'to or Worakls I'm learning more and more things to improve my workflow (implementing your colour coding scheme - used to be any colours for Drums, bass, synth etc) and improving my melody writing process. I write music on Reason 10 primarily and it can get really daunting (sometimes) and easily distracting (fiddling around the knobs and cables) but after a couple of your tutorial videos, I'm finally able to discipline myself to focus on the actual writing rather than get too involved in sound designing where I usually ended up exhausting my ears, leaving the project unfinished and shelving the project.
