I actually think this is O'Sullivan's most picture-perfect 147. After the first black he was inch perfect on practically every shot. Never had to consider playing for a different colour or pull out a great shot to keep it going at any stage.

But at the same time, by an inescapable impulse, he's rooting for Ronnie, and he wants him to get this maximum just as much as the rest of us, while Ronnie battles himself.
The world of ‘Snooker’ is something entirely foreign to me, yet when I watch this man Ronnie O’ Sullivan when he gets down on that table and make impossible shots seem like child’s play to me it riles me up wanting to go play a game of 8 ball with my buds knowing i’ll never be at this level of game and talent but just enjoying the game cause it’s truly a marvel to play.
If you’re tied with Ronnie going into the deciding frame, the chances of him scoring a maximum increase significantly. And there’s nothing you can do about it except sit back and marvel at the history you are about to witness.
Ronnie O'Sullivan: Not only one hell of a snooker player known for his high number of century breaks, but a unique personality and a man of a century as well.
The key to playing well in the deciding frame is to treat it like any other frame. In this case, O'Sullivan never had to choose between playing for the frame and playing for the 147. That it made it easier to reach both goals.
The first black at the middle of the table looked so impossible to me at first. It clashed the jaw before going dawn into the hole. Ronnie knew well how to get it done. Fantastic!
A maxi at 8 minutes and forty seconds 😱 and to have not one but TWO reds a few inches from the blue ball line, in a maximum attempt is even more impressive because the LENGTH the cue has to travel in those late shots on route down to the black. The red along the cushion however is the most underrated of all though. Most PROS miss that shot 8 times out of 10. But he never breaks his stride .. his rhythm is flawless.. True as time goes on. The pressure doesn't bother him like when he forst started to perform at high level in the 90s. Since his 2004 championship. It seems like the pressure games don't bother him much anymore. And performed better under pressure. Also his longevity is put down too. Other players playing in a lot of tournaments to get the money prize. Which I understand. Ar that time ronnie was loaded and paced himself during the season. And other top players burned them selves out by the time world championship came a long. That's the main reason his won 7 and Higgins has 4 worlds. But now he should pace himself as he has a lot of money. He just became the 2rd player to hit 1000 centuries.
