Whenever i hear or remember this song i always go back to listening to it on repeat. Its one beautiful peice of art with such depth on both ed and lamplighters part
Great reaction, great track. So refreshing to hear someone react to UKHH while having the linguistic skills to articulate their thoughts and understand the lyrics. I've listened to these tracks many times over and your finding angles I hadn't noticed. Keep it up man, if you like ed definitely check out his album 'tell them it's winter' it's a love and drugs story told beautifully throughout the album. My favourite track is probably "week" followed closely by "the dust don't lay" and "detours" but honestly I reccomend listening to the whole album if you get the chance as it's a continuous story and every song is brilliant.
they used to perform this live, incredible experience, vibe so different from the rest of high focus show but i loved it. yeah this song is gone even the cd and vinyl sold out and cant even get the song when you buy digital e.p it was on.
I know I’m very, VERY late to this video, but this is my FAVOURITE track of all time. As a poet myself it’s speaks to something deep in my soul. I’m so SO happy that you’ve found this track and you’re breaking it down in such an amazing way. Such a beautiful song, perfect poetry and imagery. Amazing. You’ve earnt yourself a new sub
This used to be a high focus video till it got erased, was one of my favourite tracks by him so when it got taken down i tried to find it literally everywhere. After a couple months a friend found a onedrive link from some obscure subreddit
Ed scissortongue is so hauntiiiiingly good.. Only thing better than his name is his lyricism .. And lamplighter on the beats 👌 Dont even need to listen to know its good
@@CanadianDadReacts oooo, highly recommend. It's more an instrumental album with a narrative that presents itself every few songs with one of the most beautiful closing tracks I've heard in a while. If you enjoy Chemo's production/style then you'll enjoy his alter ego Telemachus in this album. It's one of them story telling albums suggested to be listened in a chronological order but there are some songs that stick out so well enough on their own such as: 'Beaten Gold', 'If You Look at Your Face You will know' and 'Greed'. Honestly I think it's really cool that this channel exists; you react to the real good stuff :)
I love Ed, and his creations with lamplighter, and I love this song, and was singing along it during the darkest of darkest of mine. But. BUT since it was removed like that without any explanation to his fan base if i'm right (if I'm wrong let me know plz), just makes me think he might've got the lyrics for this particular song from someone else, and had to remove it later on because of a change of heart, or legal issues. Or it's a personal song in some way to him or someone close to him. Don't see any other reason to do so. Don't really want to believe it, but can't also understand the reasons behind of of my most cherished songs in rap
Reaction - the biggest pile of garbage on TH-cam, right after pranks. I thought UK rap stayed the type of music no one reacts to, but I guess I was wrong.
If it makes any difference I view CDR's videos as more of a series of _reviews_ than the typical clickbaity reactionary content flooding most of TH-cam. Splitting hairs, but the reactionary nature of this is more to do with the candidness and the (I assume) his lack of pre-exposure to the tunes we're seeing here. Which - if anything - makes the "reviewing" more authentic I'd argue. Of course, if you're marching against YT clickbait content then I'm right up there beside you but I don't think this falls into that category: just look at the view count (and I 100% don't mean that as a criticism against CDR, quite the opposite).
"And they hated the trend till they furiously realised, to hate the trend is also just a trend." Whats wrong about this reaction? He reviews the song on a high intellectual level and appreciates the beauty of it, while interpreting it in a interesting way.

Welcome! Glad you're along for the ride. I haven't heard anything from Telemachus yet (I don't think...)
