- For this 2023 edition's Finals' Interlude, we had the chance to welcome António Casalinho (Prize Winner in 2021) and Margarita Fernandes for a fantastic performance!
They danced a variation of Diana & Actaeon (Marius Petipa)

BRAVO!! Margarita Fernandes is only 17 and António 19 years old. They were the youngest at the Gala.
Thanks to TH-cam, we've been able to watch AC's development as an artist from an obviously very talented kid to a maturing adult. And the best is yet to come!
I got to see Antonio live at Bayerisches Staatsballett - was even more incredible in person. He is truly a star in the making!
So nice. They were well matched, and this is just the most fun Pas de Deux anyway (aside from that one in Flames of Paris). Just pure fireworks. I have watched Antonio Casalinho for a while, and he just has Charisma. A little less than usual in this, I thought, but my guess he is getting into his adult body; and will be a Star. It's great that he is learning to be a good partner. I think he always had a knack for that.

Spectacular. Thank you for posting two of the next generation’s great dancers. Antonio is already the genius I’ve been hoping for since Nureyev. He is a force of nature with not only an amazing charisma and technique but his lines are just exquisite. His dynamism and musicality are incomparable. He is also a superb partner. Margarita has a little way to go before she has the professionalism to be considered a fully qualified ballerina. It’s clear this is a great team. They are exciting and excellent - which are not necessarily the same thing.

Both of them have flawless technique and, what is more, that special magic Fonteyn, Nureyev, Nuñez, and Muntagirov have: when they are onstage you can't take your eyes off them.
