But it was clearly a bird and there were lots of chickens in the season so Mawaan and Johnny started playing to what Alex would write rather than what was drawn.
I'm a bit sad their initial meeting isn't in this, but this was such a chaotic team... that watermelon task was hilarious and deeply disturbing at the same time
I'm ngl this is genuinely my favourite season and Daisy- no matter if this is an act or not- absolutely kills me every time. Maybe not my favourite contestant but the fact that everyone was absolutely shit at everything works so well for me
@@abiwatsn I think for 11 and 12 they bumped up the sound of the remote audience more in the edit, but for this one they don't have the balance right, so you can really feel that they're in this vast empty room, having to perform to nobody.
The crackhead energy s10 had was just something else. Literally giant fever dream. It is also my first season watching it as it came out so it has a special place in my heart
I remember watching this during the pandemic and even though they hated each other for some of it they gave me some of my best laughs of that time. ESPECIALLY the watermelon task
I'm not gonna lie...they may have not always gotten along. But their watermelon task is the single funniest moment of UK Taskmaster to me and I've watched all the seasons. I think it gave me the heartiest laugh I had during the pandemic
Taskmaster needs more water challenges so they can make a best of water features purely so people can argue over which is better, Alex as a mermaid fountain or Alex as a clear diarrhea fountain
Last Sunday I got myself thinking about potential great contestants who'd make a lovely cast. It came down to this: - Miles Jupp as the senior character who looks for loopholes - Alison Hammond as the crazy go getter - Richard Ayoade as the chaotic neutral fan favorite - Scarlett Mofatt as the loveable clueless youth - Ivo Graham as the analytical competitive one
Daisy was 100% in the wrong, yet because she shouted loudest, Richard somehow came accross as the villain. There's a social commentary in there somewhere!
Both Iain and Lou have spoken about it since, and have said that they were already good friends before the show, and the edit was very unkind to Iain. They both found Iain's panicky meltodown funny. Lou didn't remember it being at all how it came accross on TV.
I never knew Daisy was this hated within the taskmaster community. She was definitely my favourite on S10. I loved her loud, chaotic and competitive attitude which is ironic since Im the exact opposite of that
Thank god, she was vile and though she was too good for it. Worst contestant they ever had the visibly made the others uncomfortable, was smug and supremely lazy.
@@jonsmith5058 Well she nearly won, she wasn't that bad. Ben Bailey Smith (Doc Brown) didn't even enjoy doing it and said Alex Horne basically fast-talked him into being a contestant without him really understanding what was involved. I thought that arrogance and anger was part of her schtick and going on Richard's podcast would show that she can laugh about it and doesn't take herself too seriously, but if she really is like that then - while I agree that would make her not a very nice person - it would still make for an interesting podcast!
@@Rangecrosoft I dont see how her nearly winning is at all relevant? I obviously don’t know for sure but she seemed to genuinely make people uncomfortable. They tried teasing her about beinh angry at first but she clearly wasnt joking. I heard they had to stop teaming her with Richard in live tasks cause she despised him so much. The chemistry in the studio in that series is poor, I think due to them being tense cause of her. My other issues with her come from watching her interviews etc at the start of taskmaster and the bollocks she put on her costume. She clearly wasnt trying to be funny and really is just that arrogant. Or that unfunny.
@@jonsmith5058 It's relevant because it proves she was good at the tasks so possibly not the worst contestant they have every had, which is what you said (horrible personality or not). Is being good at the tasks of no relevance? Is it just about being a funny/nice person? I thought she was entertaining at times, but yeah maybe she is a c**t.
@@jonsmith5058 the atmosphere is different because there's no audience, it's nothing to do with her. If anything Katherine was worse - she's rude to Mawaan a few times in this series and not in a funny way.
I'd argue Tim, Liza and Asim are the worst team, because they had no chemistry and Liza had to carry them in the Hops task. The only saving grace was Asim's excellent performance in the obscure animal charades task.
She was pregnant at the time, it was the middle of the pandemic and the watermelon task was hilarious so I tend to cut her some slack...but no she did add a certain tension that was a bit unlike Taskmaster's usual atmosphere. I was actually a bit relieved when they split them up.
No she hated him, and hated losing-she totally doesn’t fit in with the current U.K. comedy scene despite being very successful in tv…she doesn’t know most of them and doesn’t gel with kind of humor-a lot of people on TM already know each other or know Greg or Alex or both of them, she doesn’t /didn’t and she didn’t know who Richard was and continued to treat him like a weird stranger for the duration
everyone talking about how that did not look like a hippo, meanwhile I still wonder how they guessed chicken from that abstract thing
Closer to a dragonfly
But it was clearly a bird and there were lots of chickens in the season so Mawaan and Johnny started playing to what Alex would write rather than what was drawn.
It was definitely just the fact that she deliberately drew a crest thing on top that made it clear it was a chicken.
Just like them I can see the chicken after a few lines; there's the beak and the comb.

Right after the hippo reveal, I was worried Daisy would snatch the easel and slam it into Richard and then suplex him off the stage.
This series felt so surreal and sleep-deprived. Maybe because it was the first covid one without an audience?
sleep deprived is the exact energy of this series lmaooo

Yes there was something different about it, like the lighting seemed gloomy in a lot of the tasks.
I feel like daisy’s manic laughter partially compensated
This is probably my least favorite series out of all of them.

Mine too, a weird gateway into a wonderful series

ah my favorite team, the bickering couple on bargain hunt.
I prefer the other Bargain Hunt team (David and Jo).
Yeah, Baddiel & Jo are Bargain Hunt. DMC and RH are more that ITV daytime show (you know the one I mean).
I think we should just consider ourselves lucky Daisy wasn’t in a team with Gamble and Stirling.
There would have been no survivors.
Iain Stirling would have returned to Scotland in a very small box.
I can only describe that watermelon task as "harrowing."
The Hippo was honestly better than the drawing of a chicken.
i honestly thought it looked like a hippo, i dont know why noone else sees it
Daisy devouring the watermelon like a starving hyena 🤣 Absolutely legendary!
ONLY ELEPHANTS AND HIPPOS HAVE THAT KIND OF TAIL 😂😂😂😂😂😂 I died
I love that the 2 highest scoring contestants were in a team together making the team task feel like a nice break in a otherwise very tense finale
Best pairing since Mel and Hugh.
I can’t imagine Desky and Shoe having an actual fistfight though.
David and Jo are my favourite team.

Let’s be real, that didn’t look like a hippo until the very end.
The other totally looked like a chicken immediately though right?
I'd argue it never looked like a hippo.
In fairness, while neither looked like their respective animals, no way on earth was that a chicken and not a pelican
I've never been as uncomfortable watching people eat watermelon as I am right now.
They make Romesh look like a guest at a royal garden party.
draw a dolphin with only straight lines is a nightmare of a challenge
"I am apoplectic with rage!"
Taskmaster needs more water challenges so they can make a best of water features purely so people can argue over which is better, Alex as a mermaid fountain or Alex as a clear diarrhea fountain
Richard seems so low-key on regular TV. Not even a question about talcum powder or a finger you can poke through time.

- Miles Jupp as the senior character who looks for loopholes

You predicted Ivo!! Though instead of being analytical and competitive, he was his own worst enemy
That didn’t look like a hippo.
It looked like a spider-pig in Minecraft.
I absolutely loved them in the drawing task. 😂
I got it was a kangaroo and hadn't a scooby on hippo... so Richard is definitely owed an apology
Their journey feels incomplete without the "Somebody You Trust" song lol.
It’s the fact that Alex helped. He NEVER helps haha
if you guys are compiling taskmaster teams on here, please do mark and nish next
Big married for 5 years between these equal parts love and angst for but completely comfortable with each other
So basically Richard and Daisy 69’d a watermelon…right then…next challenge please! 😂
a hippo and chicken?!,! where?!?!
I remember the hippo task driving me crazy when I first watched it. I was yelling at the TV « IT’S OBVIOUSLY A HIPPO OHMYGOD !!!! »
You and Daisy may be the only people in the world who thought that was a Hippo!
@@brookewestonctc Ahaha, that's probably right !
