Great video, very helpful. The password required for me was wifi network password I use, not the network key listed on wifi router sticker. Also found it to be 'Case' sensitive. Thanks..
Thank you SO much!!!! For those of us that are electronic device challenged this tutorial is very simple and easy to understand. Only took a few minutes and I was connected. Wish more companies would follow your style of videos.
Do this in this order: 1. Update the firmware AND software from the website. 2. If it says to update your JAVA, update it or the updates won't install. 3. Be sure you are connecting the printer to the SAME WiFi that the computer you are working on, is connected to! Once I did the following...everything worked as it should. Hope this helps you -
Well I’m a computer “ dummy” I run my whole small business on an iPad , never touch a conventional computer they scare the hell out of me, I got frustrated when the WLAN report twice told me connection failure, then I remembered my other printer was still switched on and that maybe that had something to do with it, switched it off and yes! 🥳 success!! Thank you for the tutorial. Maybe add in “ turn other printers off”.

Thanks for the crisp, yet aptly illustrated tutorial video detailing the steps of how to configure the WiFi, or wireless setup using the control panel, and not requiring the CD that comes with the printer! To be frank and outright, it was a lot more straightforward than I had previously expected, and really served its purpose with regards to enlightening the individuals who were previously struggling with properly completing this process, like me!
Thanks for this video - really simple, to the point, and I didn't end up hating everything as I was doing it (as is my usual experience with gadgets). Again, thanks a bunch. This was wonderfully helpful.
After getting the "Deep Sleep" of death from this printer I removed/uninstalled it. Then I found directions on how to 'turn off' Deep Sleep, posting below. Afterwards, I needed to reset up my printer which lead me here; WHAT A PAIN!!!!! To cancel DEEP SLEEP on Brother Printer: Go to General Setup then OK Ecology then OK SLEEP TIME then OK While sleep time is display push Down Arrow and Cancel (or BACK) at the same time! DEEP SLEEP on/off toggle by Arrow keys OK to SAVE Deep Sleep off.
This video has been so helpful thanks for making it every time something changes in our house if it has to do with this printer I can birng up this video and I have it working in just a few minutes..
Thanks! My friend asked me to help him troubleshoot this printer. You saved our friendship. Ha! I did have to put the IP Address of the printer into the brother iscan (phone) and driver (computer) to get it to print. It just wouldn't work.

I am not sure how to enter the letters in my wifi network password. How do I enter password that have a combination on numbers and letters? It seems like its only giving me numbers options only.

How do you enter alphanumeric SSIDS the video showed only numbers being entered using the machines keys ?
As you continue to press the up and down arrows, you will cycle through the numbers and move on to letters ans other charterers.
