Great info. Really pisses me off that customers have to get this kind of info from youtubers rather than from Brother. I've wasted hours dealing with their useless instructions and install software. They should have people like you working for them.
Jersey Jim, I totally agree. When I first got the Brother printer years ago it connected to my Apple network effortlessly. Later I upgraded my Internet to ATT Fiber and used their nice router. But after hours and dozens of attempts to connect the Brother I gave up and used USB. Two years later I see this video, and ten minutes later I was printing wirelessly again.
I spent so much time trying to follow the instructions from the company. THANK YOU FOR MAKING IT SO EASY! Thank goodness for TH-camrs! Why can’t the company get a clue on how to provide instructions! You saved me. I was about to throw this thing out the window.
The printer was a bit complicated to hook up th-cam.com/users/postUgkxciSwynMJ7PnUvvx11rewiu-yFBkZTl53 but it does the job very efficiently. I like the ink wells versus the ink cartages that cost an arm and a leg. It prints quickly and the quality is excellent. It shuts off when not in use, so you have to remember to turn it on. Overall, it exceeds my expectations. I'll update my review in a couple of months.

i changed my router and i lost the printer wifi connection. i searched everywhere even the brother manual and I couldn't make new wifi connection. i saw your video and I entered the password manually and its done. i really appreciated for this video

thank you so much. just bought a new modem/router and just needed to set up brother with new network and brother wanted to charge me $89 and technician was trying to get into my computer and change driver... etc and was trying to make it like it was complicated to charge me those $89. OMG, finally connected printer to my computer thanks to your tutorial. I needed to plug in network key. I couldn't figure out how to get to NK until I finally realized I had to hit 'no' for WPS. I was about to throw my hands up and pay $99 to Geek Squad when I got it work. Thannk you!
Thank you so much for the info… my router does not have the wps button so I entered the password manually and although tedious it worked!! I do want to add that the password is case sensitive as I have 2 capital letters in mine and it would not take it without them being capital.. for those that have any capital letters you have to scroll first past the lowercase letters and then the numbers 0-9 and the capital letters will be next..also I downloaded both brother apps of ‘mobile connect’ and ‘iprint and scan’ and used both to complete setup and was immediately able to print 2 documents from my photo library. Also I never used a computer or the disk that comes with the printer, just my iPhone with apps and the printer. Thank you again for saving me time and a headache!!!

So I did what you did on my printer. Then after my printer did not print I reinstall the drivers on my computer. I went to the brother website and type in the model number and it fixed everything for me. Thank you
