    l made it tonight and it was really good. Thanks for keeping it simple and not talking too much - l learned more from visual cues why mine has never been this clean. Obviously this is not one of those recipes to which you add pasta water - it works better with well drained pasta. The type of pan, the amount of heat and especially oil was interesting. Plus, clearly, seafood needs to be drained. Thanks for the lesson

    Sorry Chef not Marinara??
    Marinara is a tomato sauce for pasta, pizza, or dipping which contains seafood in a tomato sauce. From the Italian 'alla marinara' or 'sailor style', marinara sauce usually includes tomatoes, onions and herbs and can include a variety of seafoods such as scallops, oysters, and anchovies.
    Marinara has become a misnomer for any type of tomato sauce, which does not contain meat,

      In Australia, marinara means seafood, and does not necessarily have a tomato base. Try this recipe - it's delicious.

      Yes it certainly is Marinara. Marinara means from the sea. We come from Genova and we do NOT make it with tomato sauce. WRONG WRONG WRONG no tomatoes

      It's what we refer to Seafood in pasta here inAustralia.

    its not a marinara sauce... no italiani "/ tomatoes, onion, garlic,basil, olive oil, salt, ground black pepper, sugar (its like a cherry on tthe top) and pecorino or reggiano, grana padano :P

    • @finnconway1684
      @finnconway1684 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's what we call; it in Australia. Marinara refers to Seafood.

      Clearly you haven't tried it. You don't need some base sauce for this recipe. If you actually try it, you'll understand.
