If you compare this video to temptalia’s old swatches, they do look pretty differently imo. I wouldn’t say the ones on temptalia look super warm, more neutral, but still definitely not as grey as this video! I totally understand being sentimental toward makeup! A few years ago for Christmas, when I got really into makeup, my mum was really sick (we both have systemic lupus, arthritis, fibromyalgia, etc) and we were dead broke, but she wanted to buy me gifts. I wouldn’t give her a list because I didn’t want her to waste any money on me, but she was insistent. So she went out to Target, Walmart, and Ulta, and bought me makeup. She bought me a Pixi holiday palette, which I love, and a Too Faced Glitter Liner which I like just for adding glitter to my eyeshadow without fussing with loose glitter, and then she bought me two of those Maybelline palettes that are really, really terrible (I can't even remember what they're called!) I didn’t have the heart to tell her that I didn’t like them and I was honestly just so touched that she did this for me even though she had zero interest or knowledge about makeup, and I love her so much, so I’ve just kept them in my collection because it reminds me of how much she loves me and how lucky I am to have such a wonderful mum. I’ve tried to use them a few times and they never worked even remotely well, but I don’t think I’ll ever throw them out. 💖

I found your channel when I was going through a very dark place in my life, I was a senior in high school, my grandma passed away the first day of school and I ended up with a severe depression that made me skip classes and isolate myself. And it was during that dark year of my life that i found your channel. Watching you talk about makeup saved my life that year. Now I'm out of uni - and was top of my class -, and I'm currently getting my masters. I'm not sure that I would be here today if I hadn't found your videos. My Keto Life wow I was in high school when this came out and I remember my mom got it for me cause we loved how it looked on me and she was helping me get into makeup. But I honestly can’t remember it being that popular except for people talking about it a lot. But I don’t remember it being sold out constantly or anything else besides me bringing it home and falling in LOVE with it and using it every. Single. Day. 🤣🤣

I am 59 and as you guys say 'back in the day' I was a makeup junkie!! My friends would ask me for tips etc. Now I often don't even wear make-up (if you had told me that a few years ago, I would have told you that you were crazy). I do however get so much fun from watching this beuty videos and you are one of my favorites!! I have to laugh when you all talk about way-way back then...when talking about only a few years ago. I think that it will be wonderful for you to have these videos to go back to when you are my age!!!

Yearsssssss ago I bought my very first Naked pallet. I searched for tutorials and I've been here watching you ever since. Through the years I have watched *every single one* of your videos. Ohhh the memories. My very first apartment, now currently buying a house. When I had boyfriend for 3 years, now hes my husband for 4 years. I got my first job, now I'm a dental assistant. I was just a teenager, now I have a 2 year old son.... And I'm still watching you, we have both grown so much.
The crazy part about this video is that in 2018 I am still currently using A LOT of these products. & I feel like the beauty community gets so wrapped up in new stuff and new products and putting out more new things that the OG stuff gets forgotten. But like... im a regular girl, I'm not just gonna get rid of my NARS madly blush after paying $$ for it!! DASS ESSPENSIVE! Theres always new stuff everyones raving about but the og old stuff is still just as good in my opinion! Most products I use are kind of old news Haha, maybelline lash sensational is still my favourite mascara, age rewind and fit me concealers plus the fit me matte and poreless foundation are my base staples, Becca moonstone highlighter is my favourite, hoola and Bahama mama bronzers I still often reach for, the balm Downboy and frat boy blushes as well as benefit dandelion in the winter time, oh and the nyx butter gloss!

OMG I remember buying too faced's chocolate bar palette and a bunch of lippie stix from colourpop because of you in my first year of high school! omg I can't believe how many things I've bought because of your recommendations! the eyeshadow palette, mac costa riche and a nars audacious lipstick (my favourite was the shade Deborah!!) but for some reason they stopped selling it here in Spain and it was heartbreaking! I totally agree with how that “newer” naked palette looks really cool toned! My “older” naked palette from 2010 ‘naked’ & ‘buck’ are more neutral/warm toned!! You’re great Kathleen! I remember this Smokey eye!!! Go girl!! 💕💕💕
I never got to buy this naked palette, and got some regrets but I think the biggest reason they discontinued it is bc every brand now has all of these shades. However, like Kat said, this was the OG palette that paved the way for all other palettes. UD was a legend back then. Edit: HECK YEAH to that closet tour + things I can't let go vid!

She send it to me as a surprise for my birthday all the way from Australia. I was sooo happy but had no clue what looks to make with it. I had to check... I went and searched your video from 2014 where you film a tutorial on your iconic bronze Smokey eye with the Original Naked Palette, and you are right!!! Buck was WAY warmer than the Buck that’s in this new Naked palette. So weird... why did they mess with something so many people loved???? 🤦🏻♀️
I agree! I have a Naked palette from 2011 and both Naked and Buck are proper warm, they're not even slightly cool-toned. Btw I don't use that palette anymore, I just have it for comparison reasons ^^
Maybe they discontinued this palette due to problems like consistency with the colors from the manufacturer's factory? I don't know how their deals were with manufacturing factories are/were after they became part of L'Oreal, but I'd guess there could be hiccups with all of that.

I didn't find you from a NAKED palette tutorial, BUT when i found videos i loved on youtube I was obsessed with music covers. Some of the musicians I watched started using the NAKED palette and showed their make up routines/looks with it, and that's how i stumbled upon the beauty community. I first knew you when I was searching for lip swatches of Wet n Wild Megalast Lipsticks (you remember that?) and of all the videos I have watched that day, you've won my heart and since then, I've been a subscriber. I may not know you personally and I may have seen only your posted videos but I can say that you maintained grounded and completely normal (just like us non-youtuber) in spite of growing followers/subscribers. From all your videos, I've seen you grow, I've seen the day you started Kat Chats + when a subscriber sent you your Kat Chats corner painting, the time when you bought a push pin world map to hang on one of the walls of your living room and I've watched your struggles when Danny was in his deployment and you had to move back to Miami for quite a while up until Danny came back. We've seen you in so many emotions but you remained humble. This comment might be so random because it might not be associated with the video but I thought you might need some feel good comments once in a while. Me and all your other subscribers, are very happy for what you have accomplished in all those years despite of your anxiety and fears. I have my original Naked from the first launch. Buck and Naked definitely look different. They are very warm in my pallet! When you first started putting it on I was confused because it does look more cool/grey like the Naked 2. I thought it was the lightning though. It’s definitely different. The original Naked was always my favorite because it was very warm toned. Great tutorial. It still looks great !

My 2011 Naked palette has Naked and Buck as warm toned shades. It's not save to use anymore, but I swatched the colours to compare.

My friends would ask me for tips etc. Now I often don't even wear make-up (if you had told me that a few years ago, I would have told you that you were crazy). I do however get so much fun from watching this beuty videos and you are one of my favorites!! I have to laugh when you all talk about way-way back then...when talking about only a few years ago. I think that it will be wonderful for you to have these videos to go back to when you are my age!!!

Yearsssssss ago I bought my very first Naked pallet. I searched for tutorials and I've been here watching you ever since. Through the years I have watched *every single one* of your videos. Ohhh the memories. My very first apartment, now currently buying a house. When I had boyfriend for 3 years, now hes my husband for 4 years. I got my first job, now I'm a dental assistant. I was just a teenager, now I have a 2 year old son.... And I'm still watching you, we have both grown so much.
The crazy part about this video is that in 2018 I am still currently using A LOT of these products. & I feel like the beauty community gets so wrapped up in new stuff and new products and putting out more new things that the OG stuff gets forgotten. But like... im a regular girl, I'm not just gonna get rid of my NARS madly blush after paying $$ for it!! DASS ESSPENSIVE!

Most products I use are kind of old news Haha, maybelline lash sensational is still my favourite mascara, age rewind and fit me concealers plus the fit me matte and poreless foundation are my base staples, Becca moonstone highlighter is my favourite, hoola and Bahama mama bronzers I still often reach for, the balm Downboy and frat boy blushes as well as benefit dandelion in the winter time, oh and the nyx butter gloss!

omg I can't believe how many things I've bought because of your recommendations! the eyeshadow palette, mac costa riche and a nars audacious lipstick (my favourite was the shade Deborah!!) but for some reason they stopped selling it here in Spain and it was heartbreaking! I never got to buy this naked palette, and got some regrets but I think the biggest reason they discontinued it is bc every brand now has all of these shades. However, like Kat said, this was the OG palette that paved the way for all other palettes. UD was a legend back then.

I had to check... I went and searched your video from 2014 where you film a tutorial on your iconic bronze Smokey eye with the Original Naked Palette, and you are right!!! Buck was WAY warmer than the Buck that’s in this new Naked palette. So weird... why did they mess with something so many people loved???? 🤦🏻♀️
I agree! I have a Naked palette from 2011 and both Naked and Buck are proper warm, they're not even slightly cool-toned. Btw I don't use that palette anymore, I just have it for comparison reasons ^^

Maybe they discontinued this palette due to problems like consistency with the colors from the manufacturer's factory? I don't know how their deals were with manufacturing factories are/were after they became part of L'Oreal, but I'd guess there could be hiccups with all of that.

I've been watching your videos since I was in my third year college which was when I started to appreciate make up more. I first knew you when I was searching for lip swatches of Wet n Wild Megalast Lipsticks (you remember that?) and of all the videos I have watched that day, you've won my heart and since then, I've been a subscriber. That was 5 years ago, right? I may not know you personally and I may have seen only your posted videos but I can say that you maintained grounded and completely normal (just like us non-youtuber) in spite of growing followers/subscribers. From all your videos, I've seen you grow, I've seen the day you started Kat Chats + when a subscriber sent you your Kat Chats corner painting, the time when you bought a push pin world map to hang on one of the walls of your living room and I've watched your struggles when Danny was in his deployment and you had to move back to Miami for quite a while up until Danny came back. We've seen you in so many emotions but you remained humble.

Me and all your other subscribers, are very happy for what you have accomplished in all those years despite of your anxiety and fears. I have my original Naked from the first launch. Buck and Naked definitely look different. They are very warm in my pallet! When you first started putting it on I was confused because it does look more cool/grey like the Naked 2. I thought it was the lightning though. It’s definitely different. The original Naked was always my favorite because it was very warm toned. Great tutorial. It still looks great !
