Unfortunately if we are ever to have a true English version of this song some of the lyrics will have to be changed, mainly because of the differences in the usage of nouns and adjectives between English and German and different number of syllables in some of the words.

It goes for all songs translating from a different language. Two things that i’ve noticed that change is that English doesn’t have genders like German or French but some other words in German or Russian or French don’t exist in English or vise versa.
