the crying means this age it is most likely looking for its mom or is hungry and looking to be comfort and cuddled just like a newborn baby you saved her she knows that. Thank you so much for saving her.

Kitty is so tiny she needs kitty milk formula every 4 to 5 hours to make sure she grows up with well developed bones. Kitty is just hungry for milk formula 😻
Give that kitten some soft food, and some replacement cat milk. She sounds real hungry.

You did a very good thing in rescuing her, but when you first got her she was probably dehydrated and hungry. Second, a kitten that young is totally dependent on its mother and therefore she’s quite used to being picked up and moved and basically controlled by its mother. So picking it up and handling it would actually be very soothing for it. Cats are very tactile creatures, so a lack of being touched can induce stress in a kitten. - Notice how the meowing stopped or slowed whenever you touched it or when it was in your lap. Basically a kitten wants to be cuddled, just like the mother would naturally do under normal circumstances.
The other thing you can do is bathe the kitten, not by immersing it in a tub of water, but by using a damp washcloth and gently wiping her down. Essentially you want to simulate bathing her in a way that her mother would bathe her, by licking her. Again, for the kitten, especially one so young, it’s very soothing for the kitten. And by doing it regularly throughout the first few days it will help establish and strengthen her bond with you.
Lastly, let her sleep with you. Not just on top of the covers, but let her get underneath up close and feel physical contact with you. As odd as it sounds, your arm pits not only generate heat, which cats love, they also have your scent which she will begin to associate with care and love and again help strengthen the bond between you.
I’ve rescued a lot of kittens over the years, fate just seems to have played out that way for me. Anyway, It looks like you’re doing well so far. Just remember that caring for a very young kitten like this, requires you to think more like a mother cat than a pet owner. So the best way to help her is to emulate the types of behavior and activities that you’ve seen mother cats do with their kittens.

I'd say don't wait for her to come to you, especially when that young they really need a cuddle. Hold her in a cuddle, she will be fine 😊
actually that can be really stressful for a cat, especially in a new environment, it can scare them and make them think of the environment as hostile, if you were a child that was put in a new home with a stranger, you wouldn't want them just cuddling you, as it can freak you out, it's the same with cats
He probably trying to not scare her away. This is all new to her and pretty scary. She is giving it a chance but she just needs a little time for him.

This reminds me of the kitten I found in a lumber warehouse. No idea where she came from I even put up a few posters in the neighborhood. It was freezing and Black Friday and I took her home on my lunch and kept her for about a year. She got real big and super smart and loved hoppin around in the snow. I named her Friday mostly because I didn’t want to get too attached and I was trying to get her a forever home. She got adopted down the street by a nice little nuclear family who had two cats and a few kids. They named her chia. But Friday would always stop by when she went outside and come see me occasionally. Even walk me to work up the street a few times.
Thank you so much for posting this. I had a kitten turn up on my door step meowing hoarsely. The poor mite was very sick. I took him in and had the vet check him out. He would of died. That kitten knew I had saved his life. The bond we had was incredible. The utmost trust he had for me. Unfortunately I had to say goodbye to him when he was 11 years old due to illness. Animals know. Ziggy knew I was saving him. Bless you my mate and thank you so much for all the joy you gave.

After being on a roof, her mama not returning, she is slowly becoming trusting. When she meows she is communicating that she safe. Also she is a calico cat.
She's thirsty and hungry....... if she purrs she HAPPY don't leave HER to cry, pick her up and hold her, she needs comfort... go to veterinary clinic get her milk.... it will help...
How can you hear her crying like that and not comfort her. It's what her mother would do if she was still around. She's afraid and despite you being in sight, is feeling alone. She needs comfort and food. :(

My now 11 year old cat, walked in the back door age 3 months and knew immediately he lived here and was home. There was no discussion or concerns.

I had a kitten that was 12 days old I had to give her a bottle every couple of hours and then rub her belly to help the food through her system this went on for 3-4 weeks before she was able to do it all on her own. Once she started eating wet food she did not want the bottle anymore, and she did learn to use the litter very quickly. Her crying did stop after the 3rd day as she excepted me as her mom after that. It takes time and now she is 3 years old and spends the evenings sat on the back of my chair or in Dads lap.
I’m sure by now she as accepted you as her new mom kittens are very good at this. I’m just glad you took the time out to go and get her and not leave her like so many people must of done before you.
why do i even watch this when i know its gonna make me cry. . this is very sad, just the feeling of being abandoned by your mom and then being rescued by some random strange being, and then never seeing your family again . . . this is the kind of stuff that really makes me cry because its so sad

Have you consider adopting or rescuing another kitten? It is easier to rise two. Of course, it is a bit more expensive but there are so many advantages and the most important one is that the current kitten will have a mate to play with. The amount of work involved is about the same but you have two happy cats for years. 😀
baby cats are not evolved to be alone, they want and need playmates, so her curiosity brought her out to investigate her new family! Three of my rescue cats were "singleton" orphans I brought home from the shelter because they were so miserable being all alone in their cage with no littermates :) Now they have big family and help "foster parent" lots of other litters on their way through to their adoption day at three months.
Fostering is a temporary caring for kittens in need, feeding them with bottle until they learn to eat on their own, and socializing them so they are not scared of people and will be ready to be pets for a family (no matter how enthusiastic the kids may be who have been promised a kitten for some holiday!) You sometimes hear people say they love kittens but they grow up so quickly and a cat is a twenty year commitment-- tell them you CAN have kittens in your life and *give them back* to adoptive families when they are old enough for vaccinations and neuter surgery (3-4 months) Then you can get MORE KITTENS (or not, if you don't have time or energy for the moment)
I have a wall of photographs of many many babies I fed for a few months, and the smiling people who got to adopt my happy healthy friendly foster kittens-- they sometimes send pictures years later of how the cat is doing and say how happy they have been with the cat in their lives :) It is not hard to do, not expensive, and has many positive mental and emotional health benefits for the human.... not to mention saving the lives of the kittens and placing them in homes where they will be cared for and loved. Going to work at a rescue nursery actually helped my long-term depression that had defied every form of treatment. Caring for a small life that needs you is incredibly rewarding and brings a person out of themselves, especially when the small life is so ADORABLE. There was even an experimental program in a senior nursing home bringing together orphan kittens and seniors without family to care for (them) and the interest of having a tiny life to look after made the lonely people happier and their health improve-- I wish they would expand it to every city, to help the people AND the kittens.
You can ask local rescue organizations how to find a local kitten foster program, and they will be delighted to let you borrow a baby cat! The people who eventually adopt your foster will be grateful, and if the cat isn't grateful (being, of course, a cat) well... love is better than gratitude anyway :) The rush of joy when a hungry baby grabs the bottle and sucks down the milk is a powerful, powerful thing baked into the hormonal life of mammals!

I have some experience. I have 4 cats. They all was bended, scared, alone and waited for a help. My youngest kitten is 3-month-old girl now. I named her Chance. 💖 And somehow I understand what she wants from her first "meow". Now I don't think that cat language is so difficult to be honest) 😄

This baby melts my heart!! I just rescued 2 beautiful gray tabby kitties that are only 5wks old.. My little one was like this, so I just stay very close, and hold and cuddle her. Before she sleeps, she nurses on my arm and falls asleep!!!

I asked a few months ago to show us CURRENT photos of this kitten…and I got no reply! They keep showing this saved kitten over and over again …I think they are doing it for the views and clicks…how sad is that ? They posted the I saved a kitten as brand new as if it was just saved….grrrrr! Where is the kitten (cat) now? Why can’t he produce current videos and or photos…. I was a subscriber but not anymore!

I have a Caico that looks an awful lot like this little girl and I raised her from a newborn at my daughters rescue. She used to love being wrapped in a washcloth and cuddle to get warm.

she needs a bottle with milk and if it the days are hot she will need to drink some water .... in a couple of weeks she will needs some soft kitten food from the supermarket ... and she will also need lots and lots of cuddles .... she needs you to be her mother ... touch her and keep her warm and when you feed her stroke her lots ... show her lots of love .... but above every thing else feed her every 4 or 5 hours .. more sometimes .. she will let you know when she wants to eat ... and after she starts eating or drinking her milk ... then she will start having a use for the litter tray ...
i guess it would be easier to look on the internet for how to look after a kitten that is 1 month old ...
My lil kittens cried when they had to use the litter box....LOL They want their Mom to still clean them... She is so cute.... Hold her alot & she will love you forever......
