  • Ran Turkey Claw during the 2022 King of the Hammers (KOH). It was packed! Rolled with a bunch of old Yota trucks and 4Runners. My buddies in a late model 4Runner and Taco tried but had to back out right at the entrance. Tundra on 40s was able to finish the rough but very short trail. With my GoPro having technical issues I was able to stitch together video from friends' phones. It was really windy so I tried to mask the noise with some music.

    How many times have you replaced your steering rack?

    • @wheelingfullsize
      @wheelingfullsize  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Only once when the truck rolled onto its side. Other than that the rack has been solid.

    Looking great and excellent driving! What kind of lower control arms are those?

    Hey brother, what is your wheel and tire setup? Are those 37-inch tires, and are those 17 or 18 inch Wheels?...
    I just wanted to say I think it's awesome what you do with your truck. I drive a tundra so I find myself watching a lot of tundra videos on TH-cam. There's a lot of people out there that do a little bit of off-roading and overlanding but you're the only full size Tundra I've seen truly doing rock crawling.
    I love your videos but I do wish you had more footage of people standing on the outside filming your truck going over those obstacles instead of just video footage from the cab.. I'm going to keep watching though no matter what.

      Thanks for watching! My older videos I was on 37s on 17s but now I'm rolling on 40s on 17s. My goal is to wheel hard as I can with IFS. People have asked me why not do a SAS? Going solid axle takes you to another level. With IFS people know there's a limitation to it... but where is that limit? I'm trying to push the boundaries to find that limit.
      Filming is actually hard work. My truck is usually up in the front so there's nobody there to record me. I was in Moab a few weeks ago and most of the footage I have are of the other trucks. I've got a Rubicon Trail run coming up and the people I'm rolling with have agreed to take lots of footage so hopefully that one turns out great.

      @@wheelingfullsize , maybe another option would be to put a dash cam on the vehicles behind you to catch footage of you going over obstacles.....
      I can see how videoing is a lot of work when you watch how people are sitting down cameras and then running back to their vehicles, driving by the camera and then having to run back and pick up the camera...
      When you wheel the way you do there's no time for that.... Can't wait to see your future videos..... Keep up the good work brother.

    What size lift? And what kind of cutting did you have to do to fit those 37s not gonna lie it’s making me want to put 37s on my tundra lol

      Those are 40s. Had to trim all the fenders and need high clearance bumpers front/rear.

      I've got a 7/6 lift with a BDS 7" up front and Alcan leaf springs with Orbit Eyes at the rear rolling on 40s. Nitro 5.29s and ARB locked front and rear.
