Back in 2018, as soon as adorable used GT350Rs became available. I traded my beautiful manual 2014 911 S for a 2017 GT350R.
All my friends and family thought I was nuts until they drove the Shelby. What sold me on the car immediately was the sound, transmission and of course Carbon Fiber Wheels. I can lift each with 1 finger without a tire of course.
Absolutely blew me away as to how much better the Ford was than the Porsche. Just incredible. The Shelby now has 18,000 miles and
is worth slightly more than what I paid in 2018, Which was $72,000.00 with 3,000 miles.

For me the most important is driver/car connection. And GT350 does check all the boxes.

GT350 hands down. You nailed it Bill.... That sweet sweet voodoo sound, rowing through the gears with that delicious Tremec gearbox, and the better looking sibling!
The GT500 sounds better, looks better and is more powerful. The 350 is the little sister.
I have a GT350 and have been contemplating trading it in for a GT500... That said, I keep putting it off and holding onto the 350. I've heard a couple car reviewers say it best, and you touched on it as well; other options (ZL1's, GT500's, etc.) feel like street cars you can drive on a track, whereas the GT350 feels like a track car you can drive on the street.
I debated both back and forth for a long time. Go test drive a GT500. It really is scary how fast it is. Its an experience the GT350 can't come close to matching. If you're tracking your car makes sense to keep the GT350.
They are both great, and very different. I had a 350r and traded it for a gt3 manual. Then, I had to go get a 500.
Still miss the 350r, such a beautiful machine.

I've owned both, currently own the GT 500. I agree the GT 350 was such a unique experience, raw and engaging. The GT 500 is more powerful yet somehow more refined, if that makes sense...
350 without question. Why? Driver engagement. It’s just super tuned in to every input given. Remarkable car never to be duplicated.
There isnt a single thing that the GT350 does better than the GT500. GT500 is a nearly 800hp track and drag monster. 760hp with a warranty you can't beat that. Nobody who owns a GT500 is saying they wish they would have bought a GT350.

GT500… If you want a fast car, it’s always better to start your build with a faster car.
There are people that prefer the gt350 over the gt500 not sure why this is so hard for you to understand… I even know people that sold their gt500 to get back into a 350.
I'll keep my GT500 knowing all the GT350 that pass by from the opposite direction know who's boss...

I have a 2019 GT350. Hands down the best car I've ever owned. The Voodoo engine combined with the Tremec 3160 6-speed manual makes the car so special. That exhaust note and being able to rev up to 8250 RPM is an amazing experience. The GT500 is an amazing car, but I would never sell/trade my GT350 for it or any other car.

GT350 all the way! I got to do the GT 500 Track Tour on the Autobahn Country Club south track in Joliet IL along with a bunch of fellow GT350 owners. Driving it by myself and riding with a Pro driver was awesome! I told the pro that when they told us to start the car my left foot went looking for the clutch pedal. It was fun, but the best part of the day for was when it was time to go home and 20+ GT350 voodoo's started up. Wow!! Had a great drive home on some backroads with a Big smile on my face!
I have 2 350R mustangs and one GT500 CFTP... I tracked them both.. I put 450 miles on the GT500 and sold it.. the GT350(R) is head and shoulders better than the 500 based on my personal experience..
The GT350 is a driver's car through and through. No forced induction, high revs, and a manual gearbox. Nothing about the GT500 excites me because GM and Dodge has been playing that game with Challenger and Camaro for a while now. It was a big reason the 350 impressed me so much, Ford didn't seem to care to get into a pissing contest. At least until they did.
Looked at the GT500, but without a stick, kept my Gt350. Added a twin turbo set to it and now have the best of both worlds. Yes, the DCT shifts faster than I can, but to me, shifting is part of the driving experience.
If I had 100k 😂I’d have to go gt 500 because I’m disabled can’t do a manual with adaptive controls, but if I was able I’d definitely by a 350
I own a '21 GT500. The GT350 is an excellent car also; while lots of folks love it for very good reasons, the GT500 fits me better personally.
Both Cars are Amazing. That Hi Revving Vuduu Engine is Awesome but I'm Team GT500. That Dual Clutch Transmission is insane. I love my GT500. Great Video Bro.
One of the best things about my GT350 is that it never disappears from under you. You're running up and down the gears, hear that sweet Voodoo sound, and the overall balance of the package is spot on. It's all about harmony. As for raw speed, "Only" 525 hp is several levels too much to be exploited on the street at any significant extent, and even on track, driving this thing 10/10 takes a fair amount talent and commitment so the numbers become somewhat academic.
By chance is the the same Francois Rivard who work aboard Celebrity Cruises in the 90s? We may have more in common than our GT350s.

I'm 56 and I a drive 2011 Mazdaspeed 3/2017 Grabber Blue GT both manuals. I refuse to give up on manuals so I'd take the GT350. I would own a 2017 GT350 if the Dealership wasn't asking for 20K over the 58K sticker price. I still love my GT and if they keep not making the Mustang Grabber Blue 💙, I'll love it even more.
GT350 is my choice. It's more fun to drive a manual and the voodoo engine sounds awesome.
People ask me all the time why I went with my Stage 3 Roush vs the 350/500. I wanted manual and convertible… 750HP still pretty solid. Same I know I’m not going to beat an auto, but I want to feel the car! Downshift into turns etc
Having had a 350R and now owning a GT500, they are completely different machines. NOTHING beats the 350r sound. Amazing brilliant car......
But the speed of the 500. You don't understand until you drive it.

I just picked up a 2017 Shelby GT350 and its amazing!
At one point in the video you refer to the 350 as “the Shelby”. It shows a bit of your bias. Both are great cars although very different. GT350 owners tend to be GT500 haters.
The Comments clearly show the GT350 is considered the more desirable car for what people look for in a performance car. This is an independent channel with no bias. The GT350 dominates in the comment section. Sorry if that triggers you but the truth is the truth. I see why GT500 owners are clearly GT 350 haters...its clear

Gt500 all the way…ported blower and minor bolt ons and fueling and you have a 1k wheel hp car. The dct is ridiculous and I’ve only owned manual mustangs except my last 10pm. (7 of them all supercharged or twin turbo) the 500 is a boss on the road and I’ve never got more love driving a car than my grabber lime gt500, everyone loves them.
The gt350 has no torque and vibration and oil consumption issues. And boost is a no no, No thanks. It sounds great and looks great but that’s about it.
Seems like most of the people in these comments haven't been in or driven a GT500. Cool it has a great manual. But performance wise these aren't even close.

I love my GT350 , so darn solid , some quarter panel alignment issues, but other than that , best car I’ve ever owned , driven , ever, but have only driven American muscle cars. Shelby’s definitely a different breed of horse, no sway & crap you get with the S550 GTs ,( unless you mod the heck out of them .) best car ever!

I just purchased 2020 GT350 HE. I was discussing it back and forth with my local Ford delaership. The owner of the dealership used to have both. First he had GT350 and later he got himself GT500. He ended up selling the GT500, because it was not the same feeling as the GT 350.

Great Mustangs. Too bad they're not affordable like most specialty Mustangs that came before these two. The GT500 is the equivilant price wise as the 2000 Cobra R was brand new. Cobras, Mach 1s, GT500s from the foxbody to the s197 were all affordable. Now you can barely get a fully loaded 5.0 for what a 2013-14 GT500 cost. LoL!
But you're getting a car in the GT500 that from a roll is as fast as a Huracan and for a quarter of the price. From a dig not so much but its an American muscle car that performs like a super car once its rolling.
@@predatorshelby5780 so what? The Terminator Cobra destroyed just about everything on the road back in it's day and it only cost $34k, the equivilant of about $50k today. The 2013 GT500 was the most powerful production car in the country, and again, for around $50k. All very affordable super high performance muscle cars. $50k won't even get you a fully option 5.0 today. Ford has really lost it's way with the s550, and they wonder why younger people aren't buying them anymore.
@@christenn32 the point is you get what you pay for. Honda Civics loaded out are 30k+. Those are the times we live in. You want a cheap car go buy a cheap car. You want a car that hangs with super cars for a fraction of the price and comes with a warranty buy a GT500

I got a 2016 gt350 with 11k miles on it and I keep thinking of trading in for a 500 but stick shift and the voodoo sound… so hard to give up! Wish I could own both!
Friend of mind knows a guy from the road course who has both but brings his GT350 because he goes thru an entire tank of gas in his GT500 every 20 minute session on track. He has to leave and fill up at a gas station and then come back. Thought that was funny. As a 2021 Mach1 owner I would lean toward the GT350. Next step up from the Mach which is an amazing car in its own right. I like rowing gears…0

The 350 is slower, has a less reliable engine, and its only saving grace is it has a slightly cooler looking hood.

The GT350 takes the cake on this one. I used to love the 10-14 s197 GT500, but the refresh has me with the s550 GT350, something about the way that motor screams when you’re ripping through canyon roads. Even as someone that hasn’t had the please of driving one, just chasing them down the road is an amazing experience.
Would these make a good daily driver? Or is it too much for everyday?
Fuel is going to kill you but besides that you could totally daily them. They’re super comfortable to drive around.
I get about 9mpg in my GT500. As far as drive ability though yeah it would be a great dd.
I prefer the 500, it beats, (destroys) the 350 in every single performance metric, it is easily the better performance car.

Yes, i have the GT500 is a beautiful and very capable car , it would have an even better car if ford made an attempt to reduce the weight even i would be tempted , for me the things i like about the GT350 is the gearbox, i just feel not everyone can jump in a GT350 and drive it fast, of course the GT500 is faster, but as we all know thats not what really defines a sports car

I guess I’m in the minority based on the comments. I just traded my GT350 for a GT500 and I’m completely happy. Driving the GT500 is just something I can’t describe. Don’t get me wrong I loved my manny but DAMN MAN my GT500 is just angry power.
My GT350 was that fighter that threw down hard and didn’t go down. My GT500 is the refined fighter that’s so devastating your opponent don’t leave the first round!
Not taking away from the GT500, but what the comments prove is that people know you can boost anything to make a car go fast.... but that's not all what people are looking for . Spend the 20k price difference in twin turbos from Fathouse Fabs and the GT350 will gap that 500...with a manual
@@poopscooper5038 Hate to say it man but their cheapest twin turbo package is $30k and that doesn't include any of the nicer upgrade options. Your looking at around $45-$60k to beat a stock GT500. At that point you have a $20k price above the GT500.

GT350 for me!
Why not get an 18 or up regular Gt and supercharger it. You'll have your manual and leather seats with all the power your ever really need plus you can take your time and pick out the exact exhaust you may want and still save thousands of dollars. My 18 manual with and odin and corsa will run a 10.9 quarter mile.
Because you get all that in GT500 plus a warranty and a muuuuch higher resale value. Now if you want to mod it your way sure that way makes sense. But you still can't compare a GT to a GT500

Both beautiful cars. Sure the GT500 shifts faster than me but who cares, I love to shift and the Voodoo sound is one of the best sounds ever. My son has a 2018 GT350 Orange Fury. I love it. Team GT350. Bring back the GT350.
Owned both and not anymore. Now in a C8 Z51 and is a true sports car. The Z06 will be a unbelievable car. Sorry Ford not a fan of that voodoo engine. Wrong firing order and terrible intake.

the 350 looks so much more aggressive then the 500. a few simple upgrades you can make 500 power and still have extra money to do whatever else you’d like. the crank, the motor, and the potential with its price. 350 hands down

The 500 is special as is the 350 the mach e is a bastard .
Gt500 is the better "car" overall. More luxury, fast, quick shifting, auto matic and anyone can get in it and go fast.
Gt350 is more fun as an experience, raw, visceral, engaging drivers car. Nailed it when they said, best looking S550 and I would argue mustang ever built period. And it takes a better driver to get more out of it which is special.
I would rather track/autocross a gt350 because of the experience even though it would be slower in almost every scenario, it is THAT much more fun than the 500. Both are awesome, but one will go down in history has one of the greatest American cars ever made..... one will be just another impressive ford...

I said it before the GT 500 really does Not have anything extra special because the Super Snake has been around for ever… I know the IRS, Magna Ride, Brembos, and Auto Transmission is great….BUT the best Mustang ever made is the GT 350 because of its exotic Voodoo Flat plane crank. It’s the best balanced touring, and track car! It’s an analog drivers dream. I bought a 2017 and I wouldn’t even consider buying a GT 500 unless it’s a 1967 Eleanor with a Stick!

The GT500 is amazing. But I feel once you go DCT well why not a Corvette? The GT500 also has the digital dash. Which is cool.
But the GT350 seems like the more old school soul. All analog gauges and manual transmission.
I would take the GT350 for the engine and the unique sound it makes. I would take the GT500 for the DCT and everything else. Basically just take the Voodoo from the GT350 and put it in the GT500 as it is already, and then do twin turbos (even though a supercharger is beneficial, it takes power to make power whereas a turbo is free power, plus I just don’t like the whine that a supercharger makes)

Favorite S550 Mustang would be the 21 Mach 1 Performance Package. The exhaust on that Mustang is insane just like the GT350. The GT350 body is really nice but I would say the Mach 1 body is a bit better. Nothing beats the fun of a 6 speed tremec. These are just my opinions.

Just like the Porsche 911 Turbo is faster than the 911 GT3 RS. BUT it's the GT3 that everyone lusts after not the Turbo. Like the GT3RS the Shelby GT350 is a special car that will be sought after years from now. Gt500 fast great car, just doesn't have the specialness of the 350. Reading the comments proves 526 HP is better than 760.
People see their cars like they see their children. There are more GT350 owners because Ford made more GT350s. People become defensive of their investments. It’s human nature.

Gt350 loses it's engine way to much and nobody has an high mileage one with the original engine.
