Note: The law in Illinois changed and the law regarding the recording of telephone conversations falls under the Illinois eavesdropping statute (720 ILCS 5/14-1 et seq.). Under this law, Illinois is considered an all-party consent state. This means that all parties to a private conversation must give their consent before a recording is legally made. Call recording is best way to communicate each one anther see now we talk about a good persion and any one leaders we need much more ree call hearing the speech about it's nice one world wide
My Samsung S23+ will NOT allow me to make a private phone call unless I turn on microphone. Microphone has Record Audio permissions and the green LED light, along with a big microphone icon comes on the page. This is Samsung doing this and I don't have any way of turning off these permissions!! It's illegal in Florida, unless all parties consent, and this is being allowed to happen because Google has given the green light for Samsung .Google has claimed that THEY aren't allowed to have these dangerous permissions, but allows Samsung, who therefore shares this Data with Them!!! My phone is worthless! Right now as I'm writing, the green Record LED light is ON !! Thanks for such an informative video!!
Thank you for the comment. I am so happy that you are finding these videos useful. I am curious what other types of videos you watch. Are there other entrepreneur topics I could address that you would be interested in watching? -john
You stated that Illinois is a one party consent state. That seems to be incorrect. According various internet resources, its eavesdropping law requires all parties must consent to the recording of conversations. Please explain if I am misunderstanding something here.
You are correct, the law in Illinois changed and I goofed in failing to update some of my older research. In Illinois, the law regarding the recording of telephone conversations falls under the Illinois eavesdropping statute (720 ILCS 5/14-1 et seq.). Under this law, Illinois is considered an all-party consent state. This means that all parties to a private conversation must give their consent before a recording is legally made. The requirement for all-party consent was established after amendments to the statute in 2014, following a ruling by the Illinois Supreme Court that struck down an older version of the law. The amended statute makes it illegal to record a conversation unless everyone involved in the conversation gives their consent. In summary, both parties must consent to the recording of a telephone conversation in Illinois, unless the conversation takes place in a situation where there is no reasonable expectation of privacy. Recording a conversation without obtaining such consent can lead to criminal penalties or civil liability. Thank you for watching the video and correcting my error - I am very grateful for this. Warmest regards, -john
