Another great episode ! DYLLON BURNSIDE is doing such a great job as host. This episode to me also was the most informative. The LGBTQ+ Community needs more conferences in certain cities. I believe more resources and information especially with the Black LGBTQ+ Community is needed. We are losing too many Black Transwomen and it's almost like Black Transman are invisible. Keep the episodes going.👍🏽🌈
Another great video! Bringing different identities and sexualities into the spotlight is a wonderful way to highlight how many different experiences there are, and how variable these parts of our lives can be.
Happy pride month to everyone except JK Rowling and Zero Cool! Friendly reminder that women aren't defined by their genitalia or their ability to procreate and saying so not only damages trans women but all women as well!
@Zero Cool Plenty of cis women have more than normal levels of testosterone and plenty of trans women have higher levels of estrogen. I've no intention to engage further but I don't want to disparage you as a person. I'm aware that it's a difficult idea to wrap one's mind around, but I only stress that strictly defining womanhood will always leave some women to the sidelines.
@Zero Cool To be fair that split male/female in sports isn't perfect in the first place. People are so different by birth anyway that even within male and female by common definitions, those categories aren't exactly fair. Then again, it is probably unreasonable to demand, what would probably come down, to totally sequencing every players genom and adjusting for that, so I see both sides points. The thing is we need proper categories which keep things fair, without mislabeling a lot of people and without basically calling "being transgender" unfair, for that is at least as disrespectful. I dislike that canceling BS too though. It's way to easy for it to become basically mob rule and I don't like hating on people in general whoever they may be-> human rights.
@@OzoneTheLynx honestly, we should just spliz sports by weight, hight and level of ability depending on the sport. In most sports the gender divide makes absolutely no sense because muscle mass plays little part in how good you actually are. Like racing, why are we seperating racing?! Why are we seperating chess? My Mum does professional hurdle run and high jump and she's stronger than a lot of her male coworkers and probably stronger than 80% of men.
@Username 123 th-cam.com/video/m-rh-N4eFDU/w-d-xo.html this is a video explaining the situation! Feel free to watch, i think its very succinct and well-made :)
(In regards to a trans man being attracted to men, but generally not being able to meet his desired relationship dynamic pre-transition.) Honestly, I think women and non-binary folks are a lot better than cis men at being in relationships with trans men who are pre medical transition. But, that's just what I've observed in a very small section of the the world, maybe it's better or getting better elsewhere :)
The Bible is clear that a man can marry more than one woman at a time and this is normal and acceptable to God. We must agitate for Marriage equality so that polygamous marriages are recognised legally in all countries.
Heads up: I label myself too and I don't judge anybody for doing so either. The following is just me rambling about my thoughts on labels. I value everybody , no matter their labels or lack thereof. Labels always confused me, especially concerning gender. There are so many of them with meanings, which both differ from and overlap each other. Furthermore having people choose to label themselves the way they want, can make these meanings really subjective and fuzzy. This in turn leads to the labels sort of losing their value. Because if ( as an example) somebody identified themselves as male, than that can mean so many things, that it seems not to tell me anything about that person at all, which makes knowing what they identify as somewhat pointless. This is why I have trouble relating to (the few) people, who get angry at others, which "assumed their gender" and similar things. I understand that it's not nice to be mislabeled all the time, but on the other hand, it isn't right to hate on people for not adhering to rules which are only slowly becoming a part of society. Right now the common rules are still different and as long as those people deal with their mishaps in a respectful manner , that should be considered ok. Progress is slow and you can't blame people for not pushing it, especially considering they probably have their own share of problems they themselves have to deal with. This change is slowly coming though and someday it might actually be the norm to ask for peoples prefered pronouns and similar things( although then we'll probably just have code deal with that for us XD). I understand that gender is a very personal thing, so it makes sense, that somebody choosing the labels of others would be wrong, but I just don't get why people make such a big deal about labeling themselves. I label myself many things too though, XD. I obviously won't judge anybody for choosing to label themselves anything. I probably wouldn't even label myself cis-gender if I'd actually look into it and I use so many labels myself for other things.
I'm cis, but I'm an LGBTQ+ allyship educator. Based on my (limited) experience, I think you'll find that the folx who are particularly angry about being misgendered aren't as numerous as non-affirming media would have you believe. Additionally, folx who get really angry at people for misgendering them likely deal with that experience very frequently. It's easy to shake off something hurtful one random person said to you, but if most of the strangers (and even friends and family) are saying the same thing that hurts you, you'd get angry eventually too. Cishet folks often ask me about what they should do when someone they were trying to support gets angry at them when it wasn't the right kind of support. My response is always the same: hurt people hurt people. Ultimately, I don't think labels are the core of the problem, it's our human inadequacy in setting the person in front of us as fully human and the leading role in their own life, and not just a supporting character, or extra, in ours. We humans are woefully unskilled at this, but it is a skill we can develop with a lot of hard work.
What you do is you tell people only once, If they are trustworthy, & never talk of tge subject again, although it does come up every now and then. 🙂no pride parade where i come from.

Firstly, you didn't have to watch the video, so I'm not sure why you bother complaining. Secondly, how about no lol. Let people be happy with themselves. For most LGBTQ+ people, self-acceptance is a long and difficult journey, so if you're tired of hearing them talk about it because you never struggled to accept yourself, that's your problem. And what's to be gained from keeping things private, anyway?
Maybe someone with the name "With Goddess" should find some irony in self identifying with a single aspect and announcing it publicly and yet dumping on others for doing so.
Keeping these things private lets people like you pretend that people like those featured in the video don't exist. If you think you're tired of hearing about a sexuality that isn't your own, have some empathy for the people who have had to live in the most extreme version of that world for centuries.
