For those who are curious about the story behind HMS Vasa (Hans Majestäts Skepp Vasa), what had happened was that during construction news of new warships being constructed that were bigger with more cannons reached Stockholm, and so as a point of pride it was decided to add a brand new gun deck on top of the already nearly finished hull of Vasa in order to not be outsized and outgunned, unfortunately during this endeavour it was not decided to increase the ballast nor to widen the lower decks to increase displacement to counteract the additional weight of the new gundeck nor the height at which this new weight would be sitting. This in turn lead to massive instability which in turn lead to Vasa sinking at the hands of a particularly strong gust of wind as she basically just rolled over onto her side in the sea about 11 minuets into her maiden voyage and sank. We here in Sweden are taught about this in school as a early reminder of the price of pride and the importance to ALWAYS check our calculations and NEVER change a design without taking proper steps to counteract the issues any such changes WILL bring. Basically we fucked up MASSIVELY once with ship construction and we bloody well learnt our sodding lesson.
Hello Mr. LH, Sir, This episode was all about infrastructure, logistical movement, development and recruiting with demobilization at the same time! Lovely to see the RN 2nd rate in action! What a fleet! Everything at this stage you will smash with ease! Love those battles, I have never been good at them and have always done boarding actions, but just showing up with 2nd, 3rd rates seems to be fair play! Well done. Madrid is yours and then on with the Cherokee people! I look forward to the Empire growing and bringing those 13 colonies under the cloak of the Empire! Love this content and keep it coming!🍻
I believe you asked this question a couple of videos ago, but I think you should play as the Dutch when you start another Empire 2 campaign. My reasoning: as far as I can tell, you have never played a Dutch campaign on channel, and from what I've seen, the Dutch AI tends to always die if the player does not attack France and Spain, so it should be a good challenge for you to try out.
51:50 I think it was something about the fact that there was a storm in the Channel when the Mary Rose deployed and when they turned to face the French fleet, the water surged into the gunports because the waves were so high, and it sunk the ship. But the Star Trek esque chamber in which it’s kept is amazing!
Noooo you merged your bloated units of over 200 cav and artillery. That's one of the finest glitches Empire has. There's nothing better than sending in 200 artillerymen into melee haha If I recall correctly, their upkeep remains the same I think
All of your towns are losing money because of your taxes. Lower them so in the long run you will get more. You could also delete the artillery building in Ireland since you have 1 in England and 1 in France. And instead build something that makes money.
I know I'm a bit behind, but if you do make a "mercenary" army, I request you throw a unit or two of Irish militia in with them. I want to see them in action, and an irregular army is the only place they'd really fit in.
Loving the series, just curious as to why you never fought the Waterloo battle at the end of the France napoleon darthmod series? I was desperately looking forward to that cavalry onslaught hahaha
It's due to TH-cam flagging some of the mods music as copyrighted so I had to remove it which messes up the rest of the audio for a few minutes around the erased copyrighted background music.
Only on CK3 & Bannerlord content currently just seems to fit better for those games although theres always facecam on the stream version of this series!

The way this mod handles the tech and units being unlocked while removing others really keeps the campaign fun and fresh

Nothing like a bit of naval slaughter of a Friday afternoon before tea. Bracing. 😁
Baldwina would be proud of those naval warfare tactics 👏
Might look at upgrading your ports, especially Liverpool.
It'll help with your income big time
The fact that the “Hms Swallow” was available and you didn’t say “giggity” … hurts me … hurts me deeply.

For the army buildings you need all techs in the previous army tech tier. The game can only show 3 being required even though it’s all of them.
Huzzah. For king and country!
I love this series
Ohhh a native merc army would be so cool
For King and the glory of the Empire! 🇬🇧⚔️🇬🇧

Is it just me or audio seems to be crapping itself around 39:40 ? It's happened last few videos
I've noticed at well.

Get in!
About to "Make America Great (Britain) Again"… 😊😊😊😊😊
Too bad you didn't land in that port in Portugal, you could have taken Lisbon in one turn
Who owns Trinidad and Tobago, are you going to leave them in peace or take them too?
No more face cam on the vids? Reactions are always great
