Unfortunately one of the greatest spectacles of all time has all but died out, heart-breaking and I feel somewhat of a dishonor to the guys and gals that paved the way in this sport with their lives. I have witnessed the late Ron Braaksma doing some insanely stupid runs, the boat was so out of control but he kept his foot in it! I studied him for a while in the pits, I could never figure out how he walked with those gigantic steel balls. RIP
