Nice to see you back. I made comments on The Quartering about how you were so good with RC. I somehow feel like I had something to do with this happening. In my own mind.
As a once avid watcher of his MTGHQ - now Unsleeved Media - and this channel, this most likely has to do with Brandon, the former co-host, visiting and Jeremy needing to get some write-offs ;-)
To very honest here, $400 for an RC car/truck is a bit much for entry level. I originally would have bought the Traxxas 4x4, but i needed two. One for myself and one for my son. After doing some surfing the web. I found the brand Haiboxing(HBX) and thier 1:12th models 903a for myself with a close second of the 2996a. I bought the smaller 1:16th model 16890a for my soon to be 6year old son. These are thier brushless 4x4 models that have replaceable and upgradable parts. And the price point is right around $120-$200 for each depending on what sales are going on. This means for the price of one Traxxas, i was able to buy 2 Haiboxing trucks with room to spare. To be Clear, I have no brand loyalty at all at the moment. I am simply a poor looking to enter a hobby affordably and entertain a young child who loves anything with wheels. As a video request do you think you could do some comparison videos on cheaper models that will get kids and adults into the hobby without breaking the bank? Thanks for the content!
Other hobby level rcs are cheaper, traxxas is pretty much the priciest mainstream model. Have a look at some 1/10 or 1/8 HPI, Arrma, Losi, and others. Welcome to the rc club!
I’ve watched several of your videos lately. You talk about how great all these cars are, however I’ve never seen you drive even ONE of them. Every RC looks fantastic when you read the side of the box then pull it out. I’m not hating on your videos, they are informative. But I’ll be curious to see what you REALLY think of all these RC cars you’ve been unboxing lately once you actually start driving them.
@@sianmathews2364 hey I feel him. I’m kind of an introvert too. Honestly I wasn’t hating on the videos. Just pointing out that you can’t really give a thorough review on all these RC cars unless you drive them too. Which I’m hoping he does. Cause I’m interested to see how he feels about them all after that. 😎
Currently, there’s no vxl stampede 4x4. There’s the BL 2s Stampede, but it’s on the new hoss 4x4 chassis, which is 1 inch longer than the old stampede. The hoss 4x4 is a vxl 3s truck but with a 540xl 2400kv motor and 6780A center diff, both of which are massive upgrades in my opinion. You do really need to immediately buy and install 6781 but it’s cheaper than buying a whole 6780. I personally can’t stand to run anything with a slipper after using the 6780 center diff on these slash 4x4 platform trucks. It’s a massive upgrade and far more durable than the old center diff that you may be more familiar with.
Hey bro, nice vid, I have a Rustler VXL 2WD and blew the stock drive shafts, I upgraded to the Traxxas metal drives and still blew them apart!! I'm running 3S, stock motor and just use it for parking lot bashing. is this 4WD any tougher than the 2WD? My 2WD VXL breaks pretty much every time I drive it.
BL 2s is definitely the go to starter now imo. The vxl 3500kv is just too weak for a 4x4 on 3s, so I’d just go with the BL 2s and then upgrade to like a hobbywing or castle system with at least a 3660 size motor.
Jeremy, judging from that stack of RC behind you, you either made some shop owner's month, or ruined your UPS driver's day. Love the Quartering. Been flying Spektrum Aircraft for about a year. But, i enjoy watching YT RC surface videos.
It's great to see you back into making RC content. Personally, I think these are a little outdated these days though. 4 wheel drive is definitely the way to go, but I'd suggest the Team Associated Rival MT10 is a better entry point basher. (Tough, fast, and cheaper!) Or even one of the new 1/8 6s rigs from Team Corally. They are in the same price point but you get more bang for your buck, and now with the new designs, they are tougher too. Traxxas has kind of stood still as the rest of the hobby has been raising their game. The only thing Traxxas has raised in the last 5 years is the pricing! 😊😅 sorry, it had to be sead.
I'm glad you picked this hobby back up. When the world gets too crazy we've gotta seek things that bring us peace. Most recently I've been working with 1/5 scale gassers, would like to do some nitro and even electric soon. Subscribing. 👍
I’m here to call you a fuddy duddy. 😂 the self righting feature is amazing. You say to “just learn how to do it yourself” but why? Why shouldn’t it be on a convenient button. It does the same “damage” to the drive train whether you do it or the auto does it.
The ARRMA 3s trucks have garbage diffs, and the 6s trucks have rather small gears, motors run hot and overall just not confidence inspiring. Really their 4s trucks look the most promising. But I do love the clipless traxxas bodies.
Wow, Jeremy looking great in these videos. Just catching up with these, i was into R/Cs years ago, but they got were too expensive for me, might try my hand at getting me one.
I race this kind of Rustler 4x4 VXL myself and it’s a great track car. I have a win, a 2nd place finish and multiple 3rd place finishes including a couple top 5 finishes at LCRC so it’s a very capable car. I remember the stock servo really sucking on it. I remember taking it out of the box and just driving it around mg basement and the stock servo wouldn’t center the front wheels standing still so I put a Savox 1258tg servo in it like I do most of my Traxxas race cars and it was much better. I’m going to be getting the ultimate version this off-season so we’ll see what 2024 has in store. And I’m retiring my 10 year old Slash Ultimate and getting the new clipless body Slash Ultimate
You say that you've owned most every rc in the past 15 years but you keep going on about Traxxass as if they are the bees knees. If that comment were true, you would know that the 3s line from Arrma is far superior. I've owned a slash 4x4vxl and a senton 4x4blx the senton is a much better rig. I've owned a stampede 4x4 vxl and a granite 4x4blx and again the arrma is superior. You're also saying how good the vxl system is, It's actually pretty rubbish compared to most any other companies stock electronics. I have no doubt that you'll realize this as you're getting back into the hobby. In my opinion Traxxass is way overpriced junk that needs so many upgrades to make them reliable. I used to be a Traxxass fan boy too, But now I know better.
I still have my Traxxas Summit laying around in my basement 😅 .. converted to brushless but have used it maybe two times in the last three years.. 🫣🥲 … now i feel like i have to get it out again💪😅
oof, upon some research it's looking like the Revo was replaced by the sledge. Haven't followed RC for some years was always looking to get a Revo but it never happened.
An OG rc channel back on? SWEET!
Your kids must love that place. Very cool.
Dale is impotent. No kids.
No kids yet
Arrma 3s and 4s line up is pretty Solid !
Never knew you were into this type of stuff Jeremy very cool. I hope you and yours have a Merry Christmas.
I have a traxxis and I agree it's a great starter car. Fast enough to break a bone at top speed and still alot of fun lol
This guy looks just like the guy on The Quartering!😂

My little brother started to get into RC cars. Pretty cool stuff 😊

Arrma Gorgon good start for 170
Something about Jeremy's voice is Smoothing and comfortably nice! 😉😘

Dale only feels secure in his basement.

He has been in the hobby for such a long time. He has a lot of knowledge on how vehicles handle already.
There is no more Stampede VXL. You have to go up to the Hoss now. The new BL-2S 4x4 kits are only $329 are a great starting poing.
Least there's no coffee ad.

Pumping out the content.
i stand corrected, see you again in 6 years
Great video. When are you going to unbox that TRX4 hightrail in the background?
Right?!?!?
Bring it back man.

Tekno MT 410 2.0 might be a consideration.
Any recommendations on where to buy a NON RTR.... I want build it. That is half the fun for me. Everything seems to be ready to run 😢
This guy is the goat of a gun channel I also watch...... I can't remember which one at the moment. Any help?

When he said core i autofinished it to "core-tering" in my head
I think that Losi bike is 2s & 3s, too. 👍
I'm glad you picked this hobby back up.

So cool to see this channel going again
Mt10 for the win

I would like to see the arcade....
Dang brother, you went on one hell of a shopping spree!!! NICE!!!🤘🤘🤘
Might have to get myself one! Love ya Jerbear!
The ARRMA 3s trucks have garbage diffs, and the 6s trucks have rather small gears, motors run hot and overall just not confidence inspiring. Really their 4s trucks look the most promising. But I do love the clipless traxxas bodies.
I had a gas powered one, it was fast. Somebody stole it
Wow, Jeremy looking great in these videos. Just catching up with these, i was into R/Cs years ago, but they got were too expensive for me, might try my hand at getting me one.
I just spent like $600 on the car and a dual lipo setup, also a faster gear and pinion set up. How is this entry level lol.
🤩🤩👍👍🥳🥳🥳🇹🇭😘🇺🇸🚀🚀🚀
Nevermind you already have one lol
What got you back into RC videos?

I thought you were a magic card guy.
Banned for life from MtG for harassment.
So glad that you’re back on this channel! I remember it to be traxxas vs hpi now it’s traxxas vs arrma 💔
BIn watching you on The Quartering forever. RC is awesome but I would love to see some vids playing some of those arcade games.
Dude made a bunch of unboxing videos for his brand new RC's and not one driving video, pretty lame. Probably too busy peeing on his basement floor
What do you mean by brushless? I have zero knowledge of RC, would you maybe do a video for us noobs explaining what all the unique vocabulary means? 😊
Brushless motor. Your battery tools are always better brushless. Something with the internals.
I didn't know either before. I recently looked up the question on Google.... :)
I had to take a double take 😅 hi Jeremy wow we're both into rc cars, coffee, and dislike wokeness!
Damn how old is this guy again? 50? Playing with toys at this age too wow
Very nice my friend

Big facts
Haha wait a minute I've seen this dude before lol
Boy haven't seen you in about 10 yrs lol
Sell out
I still have my Traxxas Summit laying around in my basement 😅 .. converted to brushless but have used it maybe two times in the last three years.. 🫣🥲 … now i feel like i have to get it out again💪😅
Revo didn't make the cut as a core basher? 🥲
oof, upon some research it's looking like the Revo was replaced by the sledge. Haven't followed RC for some years was always looking to get a Revo but it never happened.
