I don't know if I would call it dumb as much as I would label it spiteful or cult-like behaviour. I don't think too many of them actually don't realize the problem, it's that they are so ingrained in their beliefs that they think eventually they will socially reprogram people into agreeing with them. I've argued with many leftist friends (yes I still call them friends even though I am very much on the right), and they seem to have the belief that "you have to force change" or "every aspect of human behaviour stems from socialization".

They need you to obey, they need you to bow down, they need you to feel bad that you exist. They hate gamers and they want Gamers to hate themselves. They hate you and they ant you to surrender to them.

There are extremists on both sides. The left's extremists are in position to create sheeple. And apparently people just aren't very bright. And now all their policies are considered extreme. It's why they lost and why they need to purge the insanity. It's a bunch of stuff that normal logical people know are wrong. And they just keep pushing it and try to normalize it. And they usually do this by ridiculing people and acting holier than thou. They pushed too far and people are done with it.

I mean it's just that the environment *future* game devs are studying at is almost always left leaning. The universities that develops high level programmers are all in big cities or capitals of states. And most state capitals are left leaning. Just look at the election map of red states and you'll see how most of the big cities almost all vote democrat. Freaking *Austin Texas* almost always votes democrat lol. Not to mention how 90% of people who wants to be 3D artists are already left leaning.
The big AAA publishers can't make right leaning or even politically neutral games anymore because they can't find people who are *capable* of making games that doesn't lean to the left(or far left).

Its not about losing money, its about market control. The DEI loan companies are intentionally burning money in an attempt to control the market. They know they will lose money on it, that isn't the goal.
They view it as a short term loss for a long term gain. They don't care if it ruined games for many years for consumers, just so long as they can gain control. That isn't going to work out for them, but they are committed and don't want to back down now.

If its not anime or something made from Japan, China, or Korea (and even there are exceptions) I always have to check if a movie, tv show, game, or other piece of media is woke/dei or not. Its exhausting.
Edit: Some people think I'm a parent, i'm not. I'm saying this as someone who wants escapism in my media, not *the message* being shoved down my throat. Still, I do try to check what my niece and nephews are watching.

@LittleLuxia Facts. Theres still some decent new stuff out there like Storybots, but damn, I remember she watched this show once that looked really goofy. I knew something was off so I researched it. Arlo the alligator boy. Woke af. Even the animation style on these shows is weird. She liked the look of this one show that looked like adventure time. It was called Gumball LOL. That was woke too. She can only watch TV shows I approve of first. Or really old cartoons like Looney Tunes or something. She actually like bugs bunny. My wife and I tried to get her into Pokémon, but she is too young. I miss my childhood. Stuff was so simple. My parents could leave me to watch nickelodeon and cartoon network and not worry at all. These days, you can't do that. Maybe that's ok, but damn. A few shows I recommend is Shikamaru, Daniel Tiger, Story Bots, Number Blocks, Lucas the Spider, Storytime book, Corey Carson, Peppa Pig, Bluey, Ben and Holly's little kingdom. There's more for sure and there's definetly still old shows I have had her watch. But a great movie I liked was Inside out 1 and 2. I was shocked how great those movies are for kids. Gave me hope.

We are talking about toddlers right now. 1-7 years old. We have to monitor everything now. Shows used to be safe for kids. I hope that clears it up. We used to have Barney. Now we have trans Barney.

Because American music and movies forced it into everything.

  • @ohnosmoarlulcatz
    @ohnosmoarlulcatz 2 วันที่ผ่านมา +5

Part of the issue I feel is the fact that companies are used to being able to dictate demand to the customers. They've had great success doing this since the early 2000s with the rise of the PS2/GameCube/Xbox generation. Movies did the same as they expanded their marketing budget for the big summer blockbusters. They were even able to turn late December into another holiday movie. It worked fairly well through the 2010s as well with them able to persuade their player base that PC wasn't a gaming platform and was a hive of piracy. Marvel was able to shoehorn in lesser known superheroes between bigger releases to get people out to see movies. But around the late PS4/Switch/Xbox Whatever generation, you started to see that trend shift with marketing no longer able to dictate demand and the cost to acquire the same customer base as before increase exponentially. Marketing for many movies increased as well, but not as many people turned out unless you spent 50 million to advertise a movie. A lot of games and brands that attempted genre shifts in the last 10 years to appeal to a larger audience and ended up just losing their existing fan base. You especially see this in the Japanese video games that have attempted to pivot to an international audience from Square Enix to Nihon Falcom.

    • @zid9611
      @zid9611 2 วันที่ผ่านมา

Oh 100% this. I will add this was also do the rise of digital gaming. After all we don't need to all wait for the big tent pole game. When 200 games are dumped onto steam a day. Make a good game and make profit is how it was in the past.
    Nowadays it's like this:
    1)Investors approve a creation of a game
    2)There's a multi-million budget for the game
3)It's not enough because everyone either squanders money left and right or is outright stealing it
4)Good people at E S G who like to "force behaviours" offer to finance the project
5)There's a catch - if you want their cash you need to push their ideas
6)"Ah what the hell, money doesn't smell" - says the CEO and approves the partnership and agenda pushing
7)Game is almost made and it's horrendous
8)Marketing team, CEO and developers are aware that they made a flop
9)They push out an ad campaign that flaunts the rainbows and other "bundle-of-sticks"-ry.
    10)People voice their concerns
11)"HAHA GOTCHA!" says the head of the marketing team and spins a narrative about the game being hated by all the "bad people"
12)Game gets released and provides 0 profit
13)Developers get fired and cry about it
14)CEOs get to jump with the golden parachute because they actually earned money out of that whole ordeal thanks to partnership with E S G
15)Investors who were aware of the plan and traded behind the scenes with flop in mind are happy
16)Your favourite TH-camr makes a video about the game being a horrible flop and promises you that things are changing and it'll get better
17)There are actually people on Reddit who still like the game and happily pay a full price for it
18)Casual gamers who can't tell piss from champagne ask for seconds
19)You are now considered a wrong thinker for disliking a shoddy product
20)There are dozens of such projects in the works that were approved and most AAA games for next several years will be made using same formula
They don't need to make products to get cash anymore. At this point elites have so much money they don't even really need YOU to pay for the product. You'll give them cash anyway, via taxes and other spendings, because people financing your entertainment are also financing your politicians.

I've said this comment before, but it bears repeating.
There is more money in making woke propaganda than there is selling video games, and it is undeniably easier. We've fortunately been provided with several useful case studios on this point.
Case 1: Dustborn. An absolute miserable flop of a game. Resulted in less than 50,000 dollars worth of sales. On a production budget of 1.5 million, we'd look at that and go "Wow, a 99% loss, that's brutal, bet they won't make that mistake again!" But... There's another side. Remember that 1.5 million dollar budget? The company that produced Dustborn was given 2 million dollars in grants from left-leaning organizations/governments. So Dustborn ended up with a 33% profit margin before it even hit the digital shelves. Selling any copies of the game at that point was just a cherry on top.
Case 2: Disney Star Wars. We've seen all the flops. They're too numerous to repeat for a TH-cam comment. It has cost them billions of dollars to purchase that IP, and billions more to produce the resulting flops. So what gives? How can Bob Iger say "profits aren't important, the message is" and their stock price doesn't crater? Because of investment firms like Blackrock. Blackrock has provided more investment into Disney than their entire revenue from Star Wars. They've invested at least 13 billion dollars into Disney, eclipsing the estimated 10 billion dollars that Star Wars has provided in revenue. Once you add in the 4 billion dollar price tag, plus the estimated 3 billion in production costs, Star Wars has (rough estimate) provided Disney with about 3 billion dollars.
Case 3: Concord. Many people were puzzled as to why Sony would purchase a struggling, weak project like Concord. After all, the costs were sky high, the hype was virtually zero, there was no upside. Well, guess who owns a massive stake in Sony? Our old friends Blackrock. Coincidentally, after the purchase of Firewalk Studios and the resulting flop of Concord, Blackrock increased their investments in Sony by about 13%. Just about enough to cover the production costs of Concord.

I don't think there's anything wrong with having gay representation in kids media, I myself have wanted that for as long as I can remember; and with all this complaining about LGBT in kids media, you'd think I'd be on the other side. But frankly, to date; I haven't seen any gay rep that's been done well, or done in a non-insulting way. And so far, all it's done is hurt our cause. And as for Trans being in kids media, I fully agree that it shouldn't be.
For those curious as to what I would consider good representation, I'll use some poplar media as an example. Let's see... Let's use Gon and Killua from Hunter X Hunter as our example, change basically nothing; at all. Maybe they are a little more touchy-feely with each other, maybe they kiss a few times; maybe they simply peck each other a lot, or hold hands. And maybe they say I love you, or I like you. And maybe *MAYBE* the emotional scenes in the show are a *little* bit more emotional, because; you know, love.
But aside from that, change; *absolutely* nothing. Don't make them talk weird, don't make them look weird; just, don't. Just keep them, and the show; the same. Now *that* would be good representation, but does Disney; or any other media really do that? No, they don't. They're all some, f^^^ing caricature of flaming queers! And your average Walmart American, *isn't* going to accept a flaming queer.
A couple of gay people, maybe; but a flaming queer?! Even *I* don't particularly care for flaming queers, *and I'm freaking gay!* May hurt some to hear, but it's the honest truth. We either need a break, or they need to start making good media again. I'd prefer they go down the good media route, because that benefits us all; but unfortunately, I don't see that happening any time soon.

4:33 Asmonbald, it was a joke. The joke is that they don't eat pork and it's the story of the three little pigs. The wolf is in disguise. It took literally 40 years for someone to pretend to take offense.

The problem with how these companies push social issues is that they fail to make relatable characters. If you look at shows from decades ago that featured black people at the forefront, some of the most popular and well liked ones "The Jeffersons, Cosby Show, Fresh Prince of Bel Air" had great characters you can relate to. They were not just defined as a label "black". They were characters who happened to be black. It was just one of many pieces that make up that character.
In "Fresh Prince of Bel Air" most people can relate to Will Smith as being a troubled youth trying to find his way in life. The one episode that talks about Will's dad abandoning him and how Uncle Phil fills in that gap was very well received by the viewers.
So much of modern media just focuses on the labels and in so doing are actually more bigoted for it. The characters end up being a walking stereotype with all focus on that one label and very rarely is it relatable to the general audience. The poorly written plot is also forced to fit around this one issue.
It's not like all content that deals with social issues is poorly received. One of the more popular comedians "Bill Burr" brings up social issues and more people agree with his way of covering those issues because of how they are tied into a relatable story.

When multiple of these massive greedy companies are willing to burn hundreds of millions and keep churning out the same garbage, there comes a point where any rational person who thinks for themselves has to ask if there are any hidden motives or agenda at play. Keep in mind that pretty much the same exact situation is happening in both TV series and movies. Even people who barely use the internet are starting to see it's very strange.

imo publishers and studios will learn and will change, just not overnight
people need to keep in mind that these games get developed for like 5-8 years, games releasing today were already planned, budgeted and greenlit 5-8 years ago, generally it's a bad idea to make big changes late in development, but we could see them half way through
so... if last year was the turning point of when they start to understand, we won't actually see the result till next year or the year after

Like with everything else here is how it should be.
    "Hey I'm trans"....cool moving on.
"Hey i'm African American"...cool moving on.
"Hey i'm a green skin alien"...cool moving on.
DEI should be thought about but not forced down our throats. When done right, you don't even notice it. It should appear natural. However currently in Media/Games its being forced, its become the central pillar instead of story and gameplay.

@Coconut-219 I agree but they claim that they're not all into pdf file stuff. Out of common courtesy I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt that they're not all PDF files.
The way I see it with these people is, let's take me for example. I'm into Batman and the Joker in particular. It's just something I've always liked but when I meet people it's not the first thing I tell them about myself and my whole life is not based around being the Joker and wearing Joker stuff and covering my car and my computer and my clothing in Joker stuff. It's just something I like and something that I'm into and I don't need everyone else to like the Joker for me to be happy liking the Joker. I'm fine liking it by myself and not telling everyone about it. Why can't they do this? Just exist and shut up. Lol
