hey thanks, but I cant take all the credit, machine was built by a couple friends of mine and a retired engineer, it does work really well though, and at this point I think its been about 20 years since it was built. Does 500 cords plus, every year with not much trouble.
Ditto. And the commercial units that are even competitive for speed render less consistent product with lots of size variation and significant kindling (waste).

I was impressed by the speed and the turn around cycle but I don't know if it was my video or others as well but I never seen anything other than the splitting wheel and a glimpse of a circular saw which I knew anyways by the sound and the operator but no motor or any of the other devices it was like it was a secret and just showing the splitting procedure!!
This is the coolest design ive seen yet....with the spinning wheel for different sizes.....and the amount you can do.....heck besides selling it I would make a deal with my neighbors.....the can use my machine but the have to buy the gas and oil and for every 10 cords starting with the first the have to cut me a cord, a few neighbors and you would have to cut your own......

I split a lot of crooked stuff and chunks with crotches. It flexes the I-beam on my splitter. I wonder if that thing would hold up to that kind of wood.
+Adam Bauman I'm not sure what kind of hub it is but it is preaty rugged, they try to pick out the real nasty stuff though and send it to the pulp mill.

If you do another one make sure you start the video from out side of the building in the front so people can see the size of this thing and do a little bit of talking to explain some of the different parts on it, not everyone is Maine smart like us haha

Cord king boasts a 5 second cycle time. I tried to watch the seconds tick by on the video a few times and I'm pretty damned sure you have them beat! So many videos on youtube are people who finally just put something together and are showing it off when they have no clue at all how to run the controls after a few minutes or even a few hours of dinking around with it. It's nice to see a real video of a seasoned operator showing what a real firewood processor can do.
Cord King is for sure the best. I don't know what this one would cost. It would have to handle a much larger size to impress me as an all around machine.
@@nickford5549 Pellet mills start under $4K for this sized throughput - and this is a home-made firewood processor video. I'm sure some resourcefulness could find the original video poster bulding a dust collection system which grades as it collects (too big - off to a shredder, too small - off to the boiler), and then uses waster heat from the engine to dry/condition the sawdust - with a saw-dust fired boiler using the fines to make heat and exhaust heat from that burner drying the incoming fines.

The 4th one on playlist is a bit slow but it has an awesome dual splitter which means there's no waiting for a return stroke.
Might be a good processor but the video leaves a lot to be desired. Where is the picture of the whole system? All you see is component. Definitely not the best on YT, that's for sure!!

The largest Cord King is faster and looks as though it can handle a larger size. But VERY expensive.

What are some of the specs on this machine? Prime mover h.p.? Pump size? Cord/hour? Awesome machine!
