He is a very talented, very famous celebrity figure in Japan. Ex-member of now disbanded Malice Mizer (alongside renowned artist Mana), GACKT is a solo artist who is known to dabble in the film/acting industry outside of his musical pursuits, and he is often seen on many Japanese Talk Shows (much like this one) in his "free time". He is eminently prominent in the J-Rock scene (but is fairly mainstream too) and has garnered the attention of viewers worldwide as a successful and much loved talent.

I've only known of Gackt for about a month. I'm from the states...I love his music. I watch some video with English subs and others I don't. This is talented and seems to be a genius in music etc. His songs are beautiful. The man is gorgeous and I just love his smile....
