    I recently bought the Bondi Sands mitt and it's much better than the last one I had. It is very thick and I didn't even think of being able to switch it (which I do). I am definitely NOT putting enough tanner on. Thanks for all the info and frankness. I do love a summer tan!

  • @DillyDahlia

    I really like Banana Boat Summer Color in the “Deep Dark” color. It’s a gradual tanner lotion that you don’t wash off. Gives a natural-looking tan. It’s cheap and you can find it everywhere.

    Hi Marnie. Thanks for this video and your sunless Tanner process and tips!! Love you and your channel!
    I have been using Isle of Paradise self tannings drops for 2 years now. I exfoliate the day before tanning then next morning, I exfoliate and shave. I then apply a light moisturizer with a few drops of the Isle of Paradise drops. There is no color/tint, so I make sure to rub this combo in more than I think may be normally necessary. But I get pretty good results in covering all areas. I do this before drying my hair and doing make up to let it dry down while I do those things. If you use a heavier moisturizer/body. Butter, I will be tacky all day. I then moisturize the next day or two and then do it again. This works pretty well for me. I’m fair, like you and use the “medium”, but you could definitely use the “dark” shade. I do also use body make up sometimes when I want more coverage or flawless “blurring”, I love Westmore Beauty Body Coverage Perfector the best. But also recently tried and really also like Mally Liquid Body Bronzer. Happy sunless tanning! Thanks again!

    Great tips, Marnie!
    I don't know who figured this out, because I don't use these type of products, but feminine washes remove the scent of the tanner without fudging up your tan (doing this in lieu of rinsing with water). There is some sort of science to it that I just don't remember 💙

    • @MsGoldgirl
      @MsGoldgirl  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Interesting. Honestly just rinsing off removes the scent as well.

    Great video my friend! There’s definitely “right ways” to self tanning and maintenance of it which leads me to this question - How do you maintain it on your neck and décolleté areas? My skincare routine always takes mine off. Wondering if you simply use the St. Tropez mist for example in between full on sessions? Thanks again for another great video!!
    PS, Coco & Eve has a velvet back applicator…long with handles on each end. Love their products. Haven’t yet checked out their facial tanners - they’re new to me but sure am happy I chanced it and ordered!

    • @MsGoldgirl
      @MsGoldgirl  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have a back tanner but I found it difficult to use. It’s hard to get the product to precise areas. I will admit that my neck is tricky. You could always use the gradual tanning lotion on that area to help maintain it. The tanning mist works too!

    I have tried to sleep in my sunless tanner but just cant do it. I feel so gross when i have it on. So i put mine on early morning then wash it off that night. Thanks for the tip of not using soap when rinsing it off. I didn’t know that! That may be why mine always has a patchy spot or two lol Have you tried coco and eve tanner? I hear its really good

    • @tammyb.1375
      @tammyb.1375 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      LoFo45, Coco & Eve is super good! Best one that I’ve found that works very well for me personally. They have an entire kit available that includes the self tanner of course, velvet glove, velvet back/backside applicator - Andddd a kabuki brush for hands, feet, touch up, etc.
      Well worth your time to check out!

    • @MsGoldgirl
      @MsGoldgirl  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I haven’t heard of it but I’ll add it to my list to try. You also might be patchy because you’re developing your tan while walking around, doing daily activities. It’s unavoidable to get slightly wet-whether through perspiration, washing your hands, etc. Your skin will also rub together some throughout the day as well.

    LOL......Oh Marnie, you are too cute. Loved the video. I was wishing there would be a "how to" video with product recommendations to view and here it is. Thank you so much. A newbie on this self-tan experience but feel more confident about it. Question: How does the self-tan measure up when you sweat due to hot weather or working out?

    • @MsGoldgirl
      @MsGoldgirl  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Self tan isn't body makeup-your skin is actually that color. So it doesn't wash off.

    Wow, I guess it pays to read the directions. The last time I tried to self tan years ago, I used a mousse and didn’t realize I was supposed to rinse it off. Hey Marnie, I've tried them all as well, but my latest one is the BEST. It was recommended by FashionMumblr/Josie here on TH-cam and it's amazing. It is the only one I've tried that does NOT smell at all. It's Vita Liberata Mousse. I use the medium and still look very tanned. Give it a try!
