I was once a backpacker working in different farms in Western Australia. It was quite fun meeting friends from different backgrounds but the farm jobs were mostly very tough. Please be careful don't get hurt. And thanks for recording your daily life and sharing with everyone. The experience of working as a farmhand is crazy😂 ps. I agree, making friends along the way is so much fun and I’m so grateful for that! Makes the tough work a little bit easier 🥹 thanks for sharing your story and appreciating my videos ❤️
As an Australian I am embarrassed of what you have gone through just to get a visa, I had heard the stories before but I had no idea it was this bad in the farms, I think in a capitalist society people will try to get away with whatever they can to increase their bottom line but it falls to the government to properly police laws and regulations. I love your videos and I hope you have more positive experiences in Australia. Namaste sis 🙏
The problem isnt capitalism, the problem is the australian government puts a condition on working visas that you have to work 3months in regional victoria on a farm to stay a further year. Its because australians wont go work on farms.
@@ScreenHackTV Australians don't want to work these jobs, and who could blame them? The stuff you hear about from the media is frightening. It is possible to employ workers on a farm and also not act like a complete and utter cunt to your staff. For a lot of people that come to this country, this is their first experience dealing with an Australian boss. Do you think that sets a good example? I don't.
@user-gi7ky1rf4i the reason why they made this visa policy is because Australian won't work in farming. And the reason why farmers can exploit migrant workers is because they have no other choice if they want to stay in the country. I agree it's bad . I'm saying why it became an explotive employer to employee relationship

The government supports this kind of thing. Why do you think immigration is so high? Everyone who owns a business would rather hire cheap foreigners rather than locals so they can maximise their profits. This is the case everywhere in Australia.
Hi Begibou, you should have a Swiss Army knife with can opener option, they are very handy! Thank you for showing us some of your experiences in life in Australia. Wishing you well!
This is such a shameful scam. I know someone living in a single room in Morayfield with three other people, all working on a farm. Every inspectjom they had to hide three of the four mattresses. The whole housing setup was run by a man who isn't even from Australia, renting out multiple properties and exploiting workers by charging $200 per week x 8. They were expected to pick a set weight of produce, but in the end, they barely earned anything. It’s appalling. I absolutely hate this kind of exploitation.
This actually sounds like the farm I worked on. They own multiple properties and rent them all out for $200 per week, housing up to 10 people per apartment. I was lucky with the apartment I stayed in because we were 6 people. When I visited my friend’s apartment from the same farm the conditions were even worse. 3-4 mattresses in one tiny room and way too many people in one house. Truly shocking :(
@Begibou You've done a great job exposing the realities of certain visa work conditions. Best of luck for the rest of your journey. Good to hear you'll be back with your partner soon.
@@Begibou That's terrible, this was a few years ago but a friend from Hong Kong she and her friends experienced the same thing. How work visas are treated in rural Australia is absolutely fucked. I was wondering how your adventure would go, but sadly wasn't expecting a happy ending. I'm from Sydney, but an overseas cousin of mine nearly lost their foot from not having PPE, a girl from work was paid $3-6/hr on one farm, left and flew across the country to WA only to be told there was no job for her there. No one seems to be treated remotely decently.
Thank you 🥹 I went to school, watched a ton of American shows and TH-camrs, had an American boyfriend for a while, many international friends that I only spoke English with, used language apps to practice with natives and had a great mom who always helped me practice my English vocabulary as a kid :)
Those ristorante pizzas used to be my favourite when you could get them for like $3AUD. Good times... Have you considered doing FIFO work? I've read/heard many people on a Working Holiday Visa do that because the money is very good. The strawberry farm situation in Australia is just not right :(
Always seeing Aussie's apologizing to farm workers, saying it's not meant to be like this, but it seems to keep happening. I'm curious if you could tell me what was the hourly rate you actually got? Yo, unsure if you know but Adelaide, South Australia is classed as regional for visa purposes. You could easily get $30 a hr with the right job. I REALLY HOPE YOU HAVE REPORTED THIS TO THE CORRECT PEOPLE. Your payslips need to be provided via email for your records.
Dreadful conditions - starting you on 12 hour shifts in blazing heat, no can opener, no working oven, sun canopy in strips, drunken supervisor - says a lot about how little care is taken of the workers. Farm work has always been hard in Australia and paid poorly which is why they had to think up a scheme to more or less force foreign visitors to do it. Australia has had in the past, and continues to have shameful attitudes toward foreigners. Begi you are doing a good thing to document your difficulties here. I was going to suggest looking into a partner visa but looked it up and I saw it was $10K to apply !! Australia is ridiculous.
I hope you found some other work cause it’s too hot to be working out there at the moment for a fair German lass. At least reapply some sunscreen cause the sun here is a killer quite practically.
I just had a great idea! Many countries have mandatory military service, maybe that could be implemented in Aus but for farm work instead? The participating farms should be nationalised assets and these dodgy farm owners can go get stuffed. Glad you love my country so much that you're willing to put yourself through this
As an Australian I am sorry to hear how you are being treated at your jobs. This all sounds highly illegal! Is there a way you can get your RSA certificate and get jobs in bars and pubs?
It still amazes me that we have a program like this in Australia. My old house mate is Canadian and he worked on a farm for 3 months and hated it. Then at the end of it he found out the guy had no money so he never got paid. It's so unregulated and it shouldn't exist in this state in a first world country.
You should not be treated badly- This does not seem right , that you need to pay these people back- you need to report this ! I hope you find a job where you are treated fairly . Please do what is best for your own physical, mental & emotional well-being 🥰
You have to use a really thin and small piece of tissue, I usually take one layer of toilet paper and then it will automatically stick to the tea tree oil
With current housing crisis and heavy inflation this situation going to be worse in 2025. Australia should definitely cut off loads of student visas and non essential visas. I am really sorry to hear for your bad experience in Aussie. No body should deserve such an experience. Thank you for exploring the reality to others. Stay safe.
Any reason why u want so badly stay here after so many bad experiences ? In german probably you would find job in one week for better money in the office.

Theres a spark in you that no one will extinguish. Ps - i like your waffling (not the food, the talking too much - english lesson over) OWARDS WOMAN!!!!!!! 👍🏻 🙂
Yeah tbh I’m not the biggest fan of the peanut butter and jam sandwiches but these ones actually don’t contain that much sugar. The peanut butter is mostly fat and protein and the jam is homemade from the strawberries I picked and I didn’t add any sugar, just a bit of honey! :)
I've heard so many horror stories about working in these places. Exploitation of work and also sexual harrassment of women. First time seeing a video of a person talking about it on video. It's has opened my eyes to the work that migrant workers do at these farms so we can enjoy fresh fruit and vegetables and I have more respect for migrants workers. I'm also a migrants, but I came to Australia as a teenager with my family so I didn't have to deal with this sort of stuff. I suspect a lot of these farmers are racist or just anti immigration so they take it out on the workers. It also doesn't help that big multi billion dollar supermarket corporations undercut their produce.
Thank you for your comment 🥹 exploitation and sh is really common. I experienced both and watched my friends go through the same thing. Hope it gets better one day!
I'm honestly really saddened to hear that people in our country treat people like yourself (and your friends) so badly. These guys should be locked up, particularly because they give farmers a bad name. I grew up on farms and its a tough life, the supermarkets rip you off, you can't exploit people that work for you no matter what side you're on, there's no excuse. I hope you can find something in Sydney perhaps, it's overcrowded but there are jobs at least, just has to be in line with your visa. All the best mate!
Ahh thank you for mentioning the supermarkets! I think too many people are not aware of that, it’s quite sad. It’s good that you’re sharing your story through this comment :) always happy to hear different perspectives. I agree with everything you said 🙌🏻
as someone whos done 12 hour days pretty regularly you have to eat more please, I understand if you want to maintain a vegan diet but you shouldnt be saying no to meat and yes to chocolate. these days you cant assume something is good for you just because they write it on the packet, observe how you feel. that "paying back part of the paycheck" bit sounds like a breach of labour law, if you dont want to pursue it you can always just report them to fair work
Yay! Capitalism! The type of capitalism that is meant to have regulation and oversight. But nobody cares here because it's "just lazy foreigners" and "farmers are the backbone of our country", yadayadayada. Supermarkets rip off farmers, farmers rip off workers. Everyone says farmers work hard, but they're not doing manual labour for 10+ hours. You can read stories going back decades about this, but nobody does anything about it. Mind you, me having a rant on social media isn't doing jack either. Also, politicians want rural votes, so they're not gonna rock the boat too much. That type of work is going to be very difficult to get into if you're not conditioned to it. Going from zero to 12 hours a day is insane and would be a big shock to the system. Anyway, welcome back to Sydney.
Please tell me they pay you a good amount for the work you do. nevermind, after watching the video, this exploitation is terrible. I didn't know this type of stuff happened in my own country :(
Makes me really angry people are getting used like slaves with a visa on a stick, the government should pay you if you blow the whistle on these people. A bit like in the US how you get paid for dobbing people in about tax evasion. Make sure you eat good and plenty! Your immune system might weaken if you work too hard with not enough nutrition. Hope you all the best.
I disgusted how they treated you there and ashamed our farmers do this to backpackers and take advantage of them. Seek legal help as these people shouldn't be doing what they are doing. Contact Fair Work Ombudsman Australia. They will help you and get things right for you.
@Begibou don't have to be thankful. It's just shameful how backpackers have been taken advantage of and these farmers get away with treating people who are here wanting to stay longer in our great country. Don't let these types of experiences put you off Australia. Hope you're still here and life is good for you now. 😎
The fruit p picking jobs in Australia are so illegal, it’s modern slavery. Paying them back is BS. I run a business in Australia and you can’t do this BS.
7/11 servos got done for it years back. It's criminal, especially if it means they are paid below minimum wage. Even if its classified that they were docked. Comes under slave labour laws, not a lawyer. Foreigners still have the same workers rights as locals they just don't get the free tax threshold.

Love from Mareeba Queensland Australia
Love back! 💕
I just had a great idea! Many countries have mandatory military service, maybe that could be implemented in Aus but for farm work instead? The participating farms should be nationalised assets and these dodgy farm owners can go get stuffed. Glad you love my country so much that you're willing to put yourself through this
Creative thinking! It should be regulated better for sure and that might actually help. Thank you for your kind words 💕
As an Australian I am sorry to hear how you are being treated at your jobs. This all sounds highly illegal! Is there a way you can get your RSA certificate and get jobs in bars and pubs?
Thats my favourite brand of pizza..although ive never cooked it on a pan like that 😊
The brand is German too! :)

Thanks for replying
Aw thank you so much 🥺😭💕
Really inspiring ❤
I am sorry to hear about your experience. I sent you an e-mail about a job opportunity at a restaurant. Get well soon.
Thank you so much! But unfortunately I can’t work in Sydney at the moment since I can’t extend my visa because of the location
@Begibou I understand. Thank you for the clarification. Please let me know if anything changes.
It still amazes me that we have a program like this in Australia. My old house mate is Canadian and he worked on a farm for 3 months and hated it. Then at the end of it he found out the guy had no money so he never got paid.
It's so unregulated and it shouldn't exist in this state in a first world country.
That is shocking to hear, holy moly. Not getting paid for 3 months of work is another level. I hope he is doing alright now!! 🥺
You need to take on the south coast girthy king brown. its alot to handle but you get use to it.
You should not be treated badly- This does not seem right , that you need to pay these people back- you need to report this ! I hope you find a job where you are treated fairly . Please do what is best for your own physical, mental & emotional well-being 🥰
There are honest people in Australia. 🙂
When you put tea three oil on your pimple and covered it with a piece of tissue, how did you manage to get the tissue to stick on your face??
You have to use a really thin and small piece of tissue, I usually take one layer of toilet paper and then it will automatically stick to the tea tree oil
@Begibou how long do you leave it on for?
A couple of hours or until the pimple is fully closed :)
With current housing crisis and heavy inflation this situation going to be worse in 2025. Australia should definitely cut off loads of student visas and non essential visas. I am really sorry to hear for your bad experience in Aussie. No body should deserve such an experience. Thank you for exploring the reality to others. Stay safe.
That is outrageous. It makes me angry to hear how these businesses are exploiting people.
Any reason why u want so badly stay here after so many bad experiences ? In german probably you would find job in one week for better money in the office.
Popped out a pimple, why didn't ya video it? ❤❤
Let me take you down, cause i'm going to strawberry fields! Nothing is real. And nothing to get hung about, strawberry fields forever!🍓
That frog was probably a cane toad which is an invasive pest so no need to rescue it.
Very unlikely, no orange spots.
12 hour shifts? Struth Little girl, that seems like slavery hours to me. You didn't go all the way to Aust to work those hours. 😮😮😮😮❤❤
Why would you come to Australia it’s hell on earth if you don’t have money
Because Australia is somehow a paradise to everyone overseas, especially Indian people.
@@Spacemonkeymojo India is not exactly a first world country lol
Its not often i struggle to think of something to say/type, i know two things you DONT want to hear 🤣
Look, well done for not taking any sh!t begibou, dont stop that, ever.
Theres a spark in you that no one will extinguish.
Ps - i like your waffling (not the food, the talking too much - english lesson over)
OWARDS WOMAN!!!!!!! 👍🏻
🙂
One vege samij is worth three of those american PBJ samijes. Far too much sugar.
Do you hope to stay permanently or just a few years ?
For now I intend on staying for the next years and if I still like it then, I’d try to stay longer :)
@@Begibou you are such a wonderful girl, we would be happy to have you as long as you want 😊
Cute 🥺thank you
12 hour shifts are really tiring.
Farm work was absolutely unbearable on soul n body . So glad I got fired and found a housekeeping position soo much better
I can relate! I‘m glad you’re at a better place now
I'm honestly really saddened to hear that people in our country treat people like yourself (and your friends) so badly.
I agree with everything you said 🙌🏻
Someone should report..... they can't get away with that bullshit.
Sorry you have to experience the farmwork scam. I hope it doesn't tarnish your experience of Australia
It costs me energy but I‘m trying to find moments to enjoy my time here :)
as someone whos done 12 hour days pretty regularly you have to eat more please, I understand if you want to maintain a vegan diet but you shouldnt be saying no to meat and yes to chocolate.
these days you cant assume something is good for you just because they write it on the packet, observe how you feel.
that "paying back part of the paycheck" bit sounds like a breach of labour law, if you dont want to pursue it you can always just report them to fair work
Yay!
You're sitting on a Goldmine Girl 💘
🥹❤️
Well this is th first time I have seen someone cook a frozen pizza in a pan lol
The warnings have been out for years....
I wish wealth finds you in the future so you do not have to endure this non sense
Cuteeee 😭 thank you!!
12hrs is ridiculous. As if they get away with that.
I'm aussie and this is horrible I'd suggest maby try smaller farms or something come to vic milk cows or chicken farms
15 min lunch brake wtf
German? Hätte niemals gedacht dass du deutsche bist. Voll hübsch bist du auch noch
Jaaa :) Danke dir!
Btw, you're not talking too much.
Ok, noted 🥹
Please tell me they pay you a good amount for the work you do.
nevermind, after watching the video, this exploitation is terrible. I didn't know this type of stuff happened in my own country :(
Ahhh I know. I didn’t mind the salary, even though it was low for this kind of work but not paying them baaack ahhhh
Pan fried pizza that’s different
Factory jobs in Australia pay alot
You deserve better conditions, beautiful girl
Makes me really angry people are getting used like slaves with a visa on a stick, the government should pay you if you blow the whistle on these people. A bit like in the US how you get paid for dobbing people in about tax evasion.
Make sure you eat good and plenty! Your immune system might weaken if you work too hard with not enough nutrition. Hope you all the best.
Um, dont become a chef 😂 cooking a pizza in a frying pan 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Australian government everybody is seeing what you put people through, to treating people as slaves, we see what's going on
I'll marry you so you can get your residency 😂
but you have an oven? wtf lol
I disgusted how they treated you there and ashamed our farmers do this to backpackers and take advantage of them. Seek legal help as these people shouldn't be doing what they are doing.
Contact Fair Work Ombudsman Australia. They will help you and get things right for you.
Thank you for the advice! I’ll try my best to prevent these kind of things happening in the future. 😭🤞🏻
@Begibou don't have to be thankful. It's just shameful how backpackers have been taken advantage of and these farmers get away with treating people who are here wanting to stay longer in our great country. Don't let these types of experiences put you off Australia. Hope you're still here and life is good for you now. 😎
If you were single id say come to nz ill take care of you. Wont have to work a day in your life 😂
aussie strawberries are too dang sour
The fruit p picking jobs in Australia are so illegal, it’s modern slavery.
Paying them back is BS. I run a business in Australia and you can’t do this BS.
7/11 servos got done for it years back. It's criminal, especially if it means they are paid below minimum wage. Even if its classified that they were docked. Comes under slave labour laws, not a lawyer. Foreigners still have the same workers rights as locals they just don't get the free tax threshold.
12hrs equals?😂
