It’s very generous of the owners to allow you to eat what you like, most would allow you to have one meal per shift and usually with the cheaper ingredients, some places give you discounts and others don’t give you free food at all. Glad you found a job you love!
Stays back to finish up probably fair deal supervisor role would get tired of same food and be able to tell customers what is good... Does not eat any meat or seafood...
What! That is crazy, we get to have one sub, one drink and a cookie, so pretty much a menu in one day. But to be honest, I think this is a luxury and not very common. The places that I worked for before, didn’t allow anything like that either
I worked at subway and we had to weigh the meat in the tiny trays and also had to weigh the mayo that goes into the seafood, which is all time consuming. I guess every subway does things differently.
Hello, I am an Australian that has been following your channel for a few months. I am really happy for you to have found a job that you are enjoying and to be in a stable environment. Have a merry Christmas!
I love this video! There is value in talking about hospitality with pride. Looking at the fruits of your labour at the end of the day with solace is great.
Enlightening to see what a superviser does at a major fast food franchise. Compared to earlier in the year when you were picking strawberries, this work is a stark contrast with variety of tasks and skill levels. Putting the foreigner in charge of the cash signifies utmost trust in you. Well done and thank you for sharing your journey in Aus!
Yeah this job is definitely so much better than the strawberry picking job :) really glad I’m able to take you on my journey and happy to hear that you enjoyed it!
That was very interesting, and good information for people to learn what a supervisor does at Subway, before they work there. Nice to know that you are happy and enjoying your work now. Thanks for making this video ☺
As a subway employee, i was genuinely impressed by the ham cut, I've never thought of it done that way before, I always did it one to three ham slices at a time.
Nice to see you progress in your career life going from crying at the farms and getting treated like trash at the hotel place to this in a manager/supervisor role should be very proud of yourself. Keep vlogging truly is soothing watching this and some what been through this myself. quick edit: Highly recommend not including any form of money unless its your own money for future videos this becomes a breach of policy to an extent just be careful who and how this information is shared.
“From crying at the farms” 😂 I’m dead. Thank you for your positive words, it was a big jump from there which makes subway so special to me. Just having a regular job with good work conditions. Thanks for the advice about not filming the money. I will consider cutting that part out if TH-cam allows it :)
I am so glad you have a job you like ! Wow, how much value do you add to Subway - it must be so obvious to them. It's wonderful to see someone who loves veggies and knows how they should be treated setting a standard. You would add so much more to Subway management if you were able to visit their suppliers and teach them how to treat their raw products. The olives were poor quality, they should investigate getting ripe, delicious kalamata olives, and there are probably dozens of other ingredients you could improve. You are such a focused, intelligent worker .. it might be the german in you !! Australia is so lucky to have you visit, all our love for how you contribute 🥰
I dont know what your long term plans are in Australia but my cousin did a very similar route to you. Struggled in the regional areas, ended up working at Subway and doing very well there and becoming a manager. Eventually getting a visa to live in Australia and now has a corporate job with a wonderful family. Hope whatever path you take works for you.
feeling joyful to see hard working girl like you, enjoy what you do, and doing your job responsibly. I used to work at Subway Randwick, Sydney long time ago, I notice its SOP is somewhat different now, wearing hair net and cap was mandatory back then. Do people still call themselves “Sandwich Artist” at Subway? Keep it up girl 💪🏼I sincerely hope your channel will grow 📈🫶🏼🌻
Ohh interesting! They must’ve changed that a while ago. I’ve never seen a subway worker with a hat. And yes we call ourselves Sandwich Artists, it’s even visible on the roster app :) thanks for the positive vibes 🌝🎍
It's so lovely seeing you go from a place where things were really tough for you to thriving and reaching just the start of your Aussie dreams! PS. Subway need to pay you for some recipe development 😊
You are so sweet! I wanna bring out a product in form of food (maybe chocolate) next year, and I want to give you a box for free then 🥰 I’m currently working on it, so can’t promise anything, but I will keep you in mind
@Begibou omg that sounds amazing. chocolate is my favourite but would be keen to support you with anything you bring out. So proud of you. You have been so incredibly brave.
I'm impressed, many of the younger gen refuse to work these jobs these days, I'm always of the belief that many of the ones that start life at macdonalds are the truly motivated ones that will be our bright generation of entrepreneurs one day.
Some of the best jobs are the ones you get to do in the background, relatively easy but nothing taxing. Modest income but semi-relaxing work. There are plenty of jobs around the same pay that are worse on your stress levels and body. Night-shifts are also really cool if you're not planning to go out a lot, less traffic, more peace - but you need to have a quiet place if you plan to get any sleep.
Totally agree! It’s gotten a bit busy lately where I had to be in the front while also prepping everything at the same time but generally it’s pretty chill :)
Same here! The concept is so simple but so good. Ahahah the nubs on a giraffe is pretty accurate! And please don’t order wraps, they are so hard to fold cause they always get too full and end up breaking 😭😭
Happy New Year 2025! 🎉✌️ Here’s to a new year towards your channel growing even bigger and for you to come across even better experiences during your journey in Australia!
Subway is underrated. I had a pissening leg pump the other day after heaving and hoisting some serious barbell squats, and the foot long chicken classic cured my doms and added 10kg to my lifts.
woah that is totally different to the subway i work at down the coast of Australia, we have a rule thing kinda where we have our set jobs for the night shift like senior and junior but we all serve, we all prep, its like help each other out. different stores have different ways!
This is much better than being in the blistering hot sun and humidity peak summer with bosses that treat you like crap in back breaking disguised slave labor. Well done. 4:35 the Aussie accent is manifesting into your voice lol.
I also like the Harissa sauce! its nice to see someone else indulging at the spice in subway. One time I was ordering both spicy mayo and harissa and their hot sauce aswell and the server asked me if i was sure if i can eat it 🤣
Omg you are crazy 😂 did you also add jalapeños to your sub? I don’t know what’s with people like us and being obsessed with spicy food. It feels like it makes it taste better but it’s just an illusion
@Begibou as a professional chef... I found this video very satisfying... topping up sections is one of my favorite tasks as it's relaxing... so I mean it ... thank you
I was really craving Subway yesterday but they weren't open because of Christmas! So I'm going to try again today, but I have a horrible feeling I'll be denied again 😭
True, I work with great people and my manager is awesome! However.. we had many complaints about the owners who run the store due to underpaying their employees. Didn’t expect this to happen at subway but it did.. again.
Maybe it’s just me, but you seem to be picking up the accent 🙂 I’ve been here 6 years now and it crept up on me too. Before I knew it, my family from back home said I sounded nothing like I used to 😅 Good luck with the job!
Happy to hear that 🥹 such an interesting phenomenon. I’m wondering if it has a stronger effect on non native speakers like me. I don’t think my German accent would change if I lived in Switzerland, but it seems to be different with English
@BegibouAlso the money cash register is a till not tilt . You can say till or register. Tilt is an angle like a roof . It’s cute to hear a small mistake so don’t feel bad I can only speak one language so pretty average effort on my behalf .
This is the sort of person us Aussies want to stay, a kind, polite person who wants to work and contribute. I sympathize with your plight at times as the cost of living really bites it is tough. I agree! If we were to order there, we‘d get 50% off. At work we get it for free. My manager is really generous and I love working with her 🥹
In India will get a sub once in a week that is known as a emplyee meal😢
What! That is crazy, we get to have one sub, one drink and a cookie, so pretty much a menu in one day. But to be honest, I think this is a luxury and not very common. The places that I worked for before, didn’t allow anything like that either

I love this video! There is value in talking about hospitality with pride. Looking at the fruits of your labour at the end of the day with solace is great.
Wow thank you so much 🥹🤍 I’m glad you liked the insights. It’s truly satisfying to finish off the day after all the preperations :)

Yeah this job is definitely so much better than the strawberry picking job :) really glad I’m able to take you on my journey and happy to hear that you enjoyed it!
yea, people would steal them blind.
I like all the gadgets used for cutting. Very cool. I never realised how much prep goes into making a Subway sandwich
Haha they are very convenient! Makes the work so much more efficient :)
no way you are hear mate.
@ been following her journey for a while. Good to see you are here as well.
how is bro verified?
You’re a natural at making videos. You seem very genuine 🙏🏻

The sky is the limit for you at Subway, you will now be able to work anywhere in Oz
Well done 💥💥💥
Thank you 🥹 couldn’t be happier and prouder with subby 👏🏻
Really looks like this job suits you, very professional! So great you could combine your food videos with this new one on the job!
Thank you!! 🥰 I‘m also very happy about this opportunity :) it’s the perfect job for this
Omg the insights girl. Thanks for taking us on your journey
I love this content. You should also do a video of you slicing the veggies, alone. that sound is so soothing
Makes me crave subway even more now. Thanks to you I will get subway tomorrow 😂
You should! It’s the best

So cool to hear that your cousin had a similar path! I always find it fascinating to see how people start out and where their journey takes them :)
Good on you girl a job is a job I've been to subway many times always nice people working there and you are another
The fact that you had to say a job is a job is saying that you prolly demean hospitality jobs
Thank you!! 🥹💕
It seems to me that you everything at that subway , your very hygienic also which is good , Your boss is lucky to have you
Exactly ❤
Thank you so much 😭 I get so happy reading this
You're very organised and efficient! Wish you a merry Christmas 🎄
Thank you 🥹 Merry Christmas and happy holidays 🎄

@Begibou I started a new job and so haven't had much time to comment but I have watched every video :-) your videos are a highlight of the day!
Awww it’ll be chocolate then hehe. Thanks for the constant support
Interesting to see the frozen bread sticks. Found they've always had a weird smell to them, unlike normal bakeries.
This is so awesome to see you’re in a better job! (Im the one who offered a tattoo from fortitude valley :p ) keep up the awesome work! 💗💗🐈
Awww thank you love!! 🥹❤️
That looks alot better than working in the farm, out of the sun! Was good to see nosey at the start of the video :P

Subways is my favourite take away, but only wraps as the bread is too filling. Your two little buns reminded me of little nubs on a giraffe.

Italian herb and old English gang rise up! Glad you got into a job you’re enjoying! 😊
Yeeeeey! Best bread and cheese combo!
Looks like a lot of work. Glad you're enjoying it.

You’re so sweet and I’m a horrible person for responding so late 😭 thank you thank you!!
It's called a "till" not a "tilt" btw! unless subway has a different name for it.
So happy for you
Merry Christmas ❤
So sweet of you, thank you 🎄Merry Christmas
this was so entertaining haha
Great video! That's so much to do omg, hope your pay is decent
It can be more or less depending on how busy we are :) the pay is pretty good!
Im so glad you found a better job after those other disasters
What a great insight, thanks for the video
Thank you for watching 🥺🫂
Subway is underrated. I had a pissening leg pump the other day after heaving and hoisting some serious barbell squats, and the foot long chicken classic cured my doms and added 10kg to my lifts.

Anything but picking fruits 👏🏻😭😂
I just wanna add that as an Aussie watching your content I can hear your accent changing to sound a bit more Aussie 😁 ps. Congrats on your new job!
Uhhh I’m happy to hear that 🥹 I’m surrounded by lots of Aussies at work which probably contributes to that

Psycho 😂 could be me
Thankyou for sharing, always wondered hoe the Subway prep wsd done. Good advertising for Subway they use fresh vegetables (other than rhr avocado.
Thank you for the great feedback! And that’s right, everything’s prepped freshly on a daily basis :)
An early happy new year. Wishing you all the best for 2025!
Happy holidays to you too ☺️🎄✨
Also make sure subway happpy with you filming .
Yes no problem 👍🏻
Have you tried working at an escape room though?
It's a very fun job, especially watching some people trying to work out the puzzles.
I might consider it in the future! 🙂↔️ I‘m open
Keep it up girl!!
I'm hoping that you'll have TH-cam as your full time job eventually - also I'm from Syd too and I love it here :3
Oh you’re so sweet! 😭 TH-cam as a full time job would be a dream come true! Sydney is the best 🥹 my favorite city

Great video. I am someone who personally loves the seafood subs. I might see you around.
Interesting! Sorry for roasting the seafood sub :(
@Begibou it's okay. Heard worse :P
I was really craving Subway yesterday but they weren't open because of Christmas!
So I'm going to try again today, but I have a horrible feeling I'll be denied again 😭
Ahh don’t give up! Subway should be open today! 😭😂
Merry christmas gorgeous😘
Happy holidays!🎄☺️
good to see that your happy with your job. subway a big business so they will take care of u, no more yelling from the idiot bosses lol
Each one is franchisee and independent. Still a chance
@ agreed, cant run away from that either every work site/job there will always be one angry person
She must have found a good store
Most stores are owned by Indians now and pretty bad
True, I work with great people and my manager is awesome! However.. we had many complaints about the owners who run the store due to underpaying their employees. Didn’t expect this to happen at subway but it did.. again.
Please report to fair work ( they have a website ) if that happens
I can hear that aussie accent coming in :D
Uhhh this is exciting 🥰
@4:40 looks like ebichu from oruchuban ebichu
thanks alot girl

"Night shift" - Starts at 14:30
It's night-time finish... Prep for next day...
@@gerardcrabb4556 Night shifts in Australia are shifts that start after 8pm and generally finish before 6am.
@@iseeyou1312 Subway mostly busy breakfast lunch and dinner so no real need for full night shift unless in airport or something...
At subway the morning shift is from 6-2:30 and everything after that’s is considered the night shift
@Begibou And the shift penalty is 30%?
Looks like Subway in Cairns still
Yeah it is in Cairns
Wait, so all of subways breads are frozen then defrosted?
Yes and then baked by the morning shift the next day :)
Anyone down to go to Australia this November?
Do you get your subway food for free?
Yes! 🥹
Which Subway are you in ? I’m hungry now 😂

which do u work at ill show support!
We appreciate you at any subway store 🌝✨
I think you mean "till" not "tilt"?
Yessss
Just a friendly help for you…the money thing is called a “till” not “tilt”. Great to see your self motivation and hard work. We’ll done.
Ohhhhh… Thanks for the advice! I picked it up from hearing it a couple of times 🥲 thank you
Leave a mess for the morning shift. They’ll quickly learn to leave the place clean for you.
I would, but the only problem is that the person who leaves this mess every morning happens to be my manager 😂
@ They should be leading by example.
are they paying you casual rate, if so how much!!
Min wage .
Getting $27/hour on weekdays and a up to $40 on the weekends :)
