About One Hour One Life
This game is about playing one small part in a much larger story. You only live an hour, but time and space in this game is infinite. You can only do so much in one lifetime, but the tech tree in this game will take hundreds of generations to fully explore. This game is also about family trees. Having a mother who takes care of you as a baby, and hopefully taking care of a baby yourself later in life. And your mother is another player. And your baby is another player. Building something to use in your lifetime, but inevitably realizing that, in the end, what you build is not for YOU, but for your children and all the countless others that will come after you. Proudly using your grandfather's ax, and then passing it on to your own grandchild as the end of your life nears. And looking at each life as a unique story. I was this kid born in this situation, but I eventually grew up. I built a bakery near the wheat fields. Over time, I watched my grandparents and parents grow old and die. I had some kids of my own along the way, but they are grown now... and look at my character now! She's an old woman. What a life passed by in this little hour of mine. After I die, this life will be over and gone forever. I can be born again, but I can never live this unique story again. Everything's changing. I'll be born as a different person in a different place and different time, with another unique story to experience in the next hour...

I was NOT born into this village today... I traveled there!
I was an unnamed baby boy, unclothed, unfed, and my town was in shambles. Nobody was working, nobody was caring for children. I took my chance when I heard a bell, with only some wooden shoes and a horse cart that I feel no guilt for stealing, and I went for it. It was far away, but I needed to try.
It took fifteen years to get there, I found a knife and some rags and pies along the way. My clothing eventually rotted away to nothing, but I soon found a dapper gentleman's body. I took his white shirt, pants, and tophat. I saved my knife in his backpack and went onwards. Three years later, I found this town. A letter called it Narnia. They had an abundance of hats and dyes, the women wore beautiful dresses. The altar had more roses than ever and the buried bodies of a couple at its feet. I felt at home and at peace.
A woman, Cleopatra Long, greeted me as I arrived and her daughter named me Frank. Cleo and I bonded instantly, she was the queen, and we were shortly wed at the altar. I gave her my knife and bag for protection, she her black cape for dapperness. She passed before her time, leaving me her crown, but she loved me to the end. I promised to work hard, though the villages numbers dwindled and food ran short. I spent much of my life slicing mangoes and I hope they realized the food source soon.
I found a queen, the mother of quadruplets, to carry on her crown and buried Cleopatra below the roses at the altar. It was our spot.
I doubt my body will make its way to her, as I was still very much a stranger to most, but I felt satisfied.

It would be neat if they can add currency to the game so that towns won't have to fight each other for resources. But then again, currency can be a problem too. Or you can have currency now by picking out something that everyone can agree on it's value.

Yeah I think barter is the best system. A currency would not really help because we can not even agree on the value of things in real life. But if there was gold or shiny rocks or anything like that I wonder if people would use it as currency. It would have to be easy to cary and easy to separate like if you had a basket with 10 gold pieces you would have to be able to give up 5. Currency is really interesting

wow such a dramatic life! I also find it interesting that the first thing you can make with the loom were air plane wings and not actually fabric for clothing. Just a warning, putting pencil in pocket... my friend had a pencil stabbed into his thigh cause he was running with a pencil in his pocket, so put one at your own risk. It's a thing apparently.

I love the episodes that have roleplaying. What an epic turn of events too. The marriage of a young couple, followed by a grizzly murder. What a story.
I lived here with my twin, one of the buildings had a lock on it at the time and loads of dead bodies with clothes and other items inside, at one point the door opened and (stupidly) I went in. I started putting things away then someone locked me in, I only had one bite of pie left and people were trying to help but were too slow and I starved JUST AS they pickaxed the wall. It was so frustrating (me and my fiance play in the same room so I could see them break it at the same moment I died), worst thing is SOMEONE had the key and nobody knew who. I had to stop playing for a while after cause I was so mad. :(
omg no way! i was the one who had the two keys ahaha. I pretended like i didnt have them and i pretty much starved so many people in that room, i think i was the guy who wore a black dress and said i was there to comfort you. Sorry not sorry 😂

I wanted my twin to investigate and kill for my revenge, but it's okay, I won't let shitty people affect me in this game it is literally too easy, I hope you stop being a murderous griefer one day, helping people feels a lot better than ruining someone's experience. If I ever see a lock I just remove it now, Twisted taught me how.

Dreams do come true
Once, about a week ago when I first got the game, I was born, and my mom was getting married soon after. I was three, and as my mom was about to "kiss" her husband the pastors said "This is a blood wedding!!" and killed both my parents at once. I starved soon after because they all wanted more death
It sucks, but drama and shit like this is what makes the game so fun. You never know what's going to happen or when you might lose somebody
This is probably the BEST game for roleplaying too, better than any other RPG.
Yes, I love the stories that emerge here! That's cool drama for sure, much better than someone just stealing all the tools and hiding them in a forest.
Oh god it's this town lol. I was WAY too many times there in ROW. And goddamn when I first joined it a few days ago...It was dying and filled with griefers. I was one of the few females that returned from hiding because one bloke was killing all the girls (another later ended up bringing boards to the kitchen and the sheep pen). Also the eve spiral has progressed quite a distance now I see :) in a middle life I was a viking that waas raiding abandoned towns for loot before somebody killed all sheep and I returned one (apaprently this happned a few more times I heard from others). The secont horse cart was one of the booty i brought back as well as more clothes. In one of my last lives in this towns I ended up being the priest for a ceremony for a young couple before promptly dying...and in the last last life I came out of a closet as a gay man, had an attentive lover and an adoptive son hehe. I think I can easily said I almost did everything in this town.
This update has brought on the poopocolypse! with so many people creating clothes our streets are filled with dung!

You should've kept following the road, there was a mini camp with a house. I also respawned like 2.2 k away and I walked back to this town. I wrote "cover your bits."
I was on that city today as a Gen43 of the Hawk family. My mom was running away from her town, following the bell, and she gave birth to me when she just arrived there. I was Clara Hawk. I only had one alive little brother, as my other older siblings were dead. The town was dead. No one there when my mom arrived. But all of those fancy clothes were scattered around the town. The only food left was from the farms, berries and carrots. There were one stew left, and two more stews ready to cook. Bazillion empty plates were stacked in the kitchen, but only few pies left. We were struggling to make a fire to warm ourselves and to start the kitchen. As the only girl left, I was worried. But mom said that another girl was coming to the town. There were not so many fire woods left. Fortunately, there were still some buttlogs left and thanks to those domesticated maple trees, we had enough materials to start fire, although we got some difficulties to find juniper tinder. Me and my little brother were successfully start the fire and bake some pies and breads by using some flours left and leavened doughs in the kitchen, although we faced some difficulties because there were many babies came out of my uterus while the kitchen was not ready yet. The other girl was arrived to the town as well. Not long after that, the town was crowded with many children. They were awed by the amount of modern fancy clothes there. But with only few foods left, we strived to survive. Then the berries farm was almost done. Only few composts were made since we were struggling to survive. The plane was finished, though. But we did not have a chance to try it. And the fire was gone since people forgot to keep it. The town is too big, and we were not coordinated well enough. We took muttons, but we can do nothing to keep the lambs reproducing. It felt like there was only me and my little brother who took care of the foods. The Hawk family tree is ended at Gen47. So many sudden infant deaths. I cannot really paid attention to the other family who came to the town since I was so busy trying to nursing my children and helping my brother to run the kitchen.
P.S.: I can easily recognize the town by those fancy meat-delivery rail system.
Edit 1: The Hawk family lasted up to Gen47 on my line, but the Hawk itself lasts up to Gen49, via my two second-cousins-six-times-removed.
Edit 2: The Hawk family lasts up to Gen50. Now I don't know if there is still any Hawk alive.

In my lasy life I made SHOP... Yes! True, functional shop. Bud we don’t had money. We devise economy system: when town is advanced, every human get few wooden disks. Of course its very hard to do somethink like that. But do you think that people will make planes and cars when some noob or griefer can just rustle this? This is not uptade. This is idea that have power to change the future...

i wuld like to see those wooden shoos to be able to be combined with wool ones to make some kinde of padded shoo ( the ultimate shoo for now) and to grant not only warmth but a little movement speed , and maybe scarfs as a head item too ( all feel free to use the ideas if you know how to suggest them in the game)

It’s not really an issue if you did as a baby like that. It probably effects your score a bit but that’s it. I can understand being annoyed if you are an adult because you’ve been playing but if you’re like 0 you’ve got nothing to miss

I love this game, but today i the LAST day I ever play it...
I was daughter of an Eve. I spent 15 minutes bringing soil and skewers and food to the early village.
My little brother, picked up the first bowl, and started separating the piles into singles. ALL of them...
Then proceeded to use ALL 10 skewers to HALF till ALL the flipping soil!!!!!!!!
So... NONE of the soil was usable....
I tried to talk to him, but NOTHING. I was dumbstruck. I realized I was hungry, ran up to grab some of the many foods i brought... and they were ALL GONE and I died.
Im so angry at this game. I want to keep playing it, but I cannot bear the ignorance of so many players, who don't take the time to ACTUALLY learn.
That is what makes this game no longer enjoyable for me.

Reach 3D Printers I think ignorance is ok. We don’t born knowing about everything, we learn while living. And the game is like that, we have the tutorial, but the most important things we learn while living, I play it since a long time ago and recently discovered that we can make berry rabbit pies by watching my uncle.
The big problem is griefers, probably he wasn’t a newbie, but a griefer. But half tiled rows is not a big deal, you could just use a skewer on it again and the row would be ready for farming and if he was a noob, you could teach him, but alas he ate all of the food.
Anyway, it is good to take a break when a game becomes stressful.
Yes, that's kind of frustrating but I can't really blame them for that. The way soil works is not very intuitive IMO.

I really wish there was a mobile version of this game. I’ve been watching videos of this game when I accidentally stumbled upon it in my recommendations ( was watching Don’t Starve videos , so I guess the algorithms tried to suggest a game that was similar to it ). I love these kinds of survival games.
But unfortunately I’m unable to play it, for my laptop is shitty and I’m a broke college student. ;; I think there’s a mobile recreation of the game, but it isn’t made by the original creator of the game. I don’t know how good it is, but from the screenshots I’ve seen, it looks similar. With less players in one server and not in tune with the current updates.
There's an unofficial mobile version, it was originally a direct rip of the same code since it was open source but ohol's creator erecently pulled the plug. I think it's been renamed something like "you are hope" but it's nearly identical from what I know, though it will no longer share the same updates and has different features.

It was a funny story. I (Blessing Boots) had a mother (Maggie Boots) and a father (Wilson Silver), granddaughter of an Eve. My father told me he was the president, other people were calling him “president” as well, they gave me red clothes, I was a baby with a long red dress, when I was a bit older, a man told me the “Momo outpost” needed help and I followed him to an outpost a little bit far west, I lived there for years, but there were murders and I couldn’t identify who was innocent, so I decided to go back when I was about forty five and also the last fertile of the family but had one girl that survived. When I arrived in big town, a old woman said “Oh, you are alive! I’m burying your parents”. She buried them near the bell, she asked me to mark the graves. Some years after, she died. Then I tried to make an letter “M”, I knew it was “N” + “I”, but I didn’t know how to make “N”, so I put a “V”+”I”, but it resulted into a “K”, that I abandoned there and went north to make letters.
I buried the old woman as my aunt, my father as my uncle and my mother was just mother, all of them near each other, great life.
You can see it at 11:38.
18:19 Maggie Boots was my mother, the old woman wrote that, she made one for my father as well and I put them on their graves.

Also, the letters are so silly. I just looked it up and apparently you get the N by combining two "V"'s to get a "W", and then cutting that "W" into an "N" with a flint chip or knife.
