    Adding to my previous comment I forgot to mention that I love how you show in the completed album, what you had just been describing in the layout. Makes such a difference to know what I am aiming for before I start each section. Wonderful. I can tell I will be doing many more of your tutorials. Happy camper !!!!!!!!!!!

I dont have the correct cardstock to cover the book parts so will buy it tomorrow and finish that part. Im looking forward to doing the flips and folds etc. Ive been watching in advance and Im excited to continue. Thanks again, Lindy in Australia !!!

    Thank you for a very simplified hinge explanation! This was super easy to follow and all I had to do was change a few measurements to fir my mini album. Thank you thank you!!!!

    Hi Christine. I thought I was going well. I've made the book and stuck in the hinges. However I now realise that I didnt leave enough room (1/8") between the covers and spine. I thought I would be smart and continue on and see if I could do it myself, so I didnt watch again, that part of your video that said to leave 1/8, so I left a bit less. Now of course the covers are a bit tight when folding closed. Wondering if I could cut through them and move them out a bit and just put tape over each side ???. Silly me.........I went so well until now. :-(

    Using a bone folder to score the paper along the crease lines makes it easier to bend. Also, Stampin Up card-stock doesn’t tear when it bends as many other brands do.

    Its a weeding tool to weed out vinyl and iron ons that you cut out. Works great for the tape too!

    Oh, oh, oh! I know this! That pokey tool that you use to remove adhesive backing is a weeding tool. You use it to weed out negative space in acrylic and iron-on cutouts from your Cricut or Silhouette. I also use it to remove backing from my scor-tape. ☺️

    Me again...sorry... Im following your album construction but going to use Stamperia , Precious. Ive realised that it doesnt have the variety of cutouts that yours does. Not sure what to do as I dont have a lot that co-ordinates with Precious really. Any bright ideas for me ????. thank you. You really are an excellent teacher. Thank you so much .

      I made a simple album with the Stameria Ceremony and Precious. Stamperia packs come with 10 sheet and I knew I would need more sheets to finish a mini so I combined the two collections which also gave me more cut aparts to use. Take a look here th-cam.com/video/ymY-LWxWCmM/w-d-xo.html - We have lots of Prima flowers in our shop that will work with Precious papers, lastly using the design paper and layering die cut on the flaps will go along way to making them pop if you don't have ephemera cards to work with. @@ScrapNCreateVideos Amazing. Ive been googling for ages trying to find a Precious album and nothing came up. !!!! I love it and will definitely try to find the Ceremony pack which can sometimes be hard here in Australia, but I think I know who might have it. thank you again. Wonderful. Beautiful album.

    This is 3 in a row comments...sorry. Next dilemma...none of my pages would fit over any of the raised parts. I had to carve a bit off the bottom edges of the raised parts to make the pages fit over them. I followed the measurements religiously, so not sure how this would happen.

    • @ScrapNCreateVideos

      I think you are referring to the "hinge"? If so you'll need to trim the peaks in a miter to slip the pages over. I'll have Christine look at her cut list again and see if we need changes. One of the things I do before I install the hinge to the cover is to "dry fit" the pocket over the hinge - be sure to check each pocket as the score lines are not precise and can slightly alter the pock width. If your pockets don't slide over the hinge you can still trim the who piece with you trimmer or exact knife. If you have already installed you hinge you have two options 1) trim the tips 2) if installed with tape apply un-du which will release the tape so you can remove the hinge. If you use option 2 I would recommend making an new hinge and follow the the "dry fit" instructions. Daphne

      @@ScrapNCreateVideos I found out what I did wrong. When I mitered the edges I cut moreso off towards the top edge. I should have started the cut down lower. Hope that makes sense Daphne. No need to reply. :-)

    What weight is the paper for the pages please ?

    • @ScrapNCreateVideos
      @ScrapNCreateVideos  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Lindy, Daphne here. Christine has been a bit under the weather so I thought I would jump in. I use 65 lb paper for the pages and the wrap of the cover. I have found that heavier weight paper tends to crack or fray especially on the spine covering. I use Neenah Astrobrights black or white for my albums. Hope this helps.

    • @lindy2164
      @lindy2164 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Daphne. Yes that does help. Ive got 220gsm which is around your 80lb, so I guess that should be ok. I was going to try to use 298gsm and just do a single page so I could make it like a waterfall hinge style, which I did in my last album, but cant find any black that thick. I will have to be brave & attempt your hinge style....gulp...Im not confident that I will be able to put the pocket over the hinge evenly and then the tape will grab it .!!!! thanks for speedy reply.

      if you fast forward to the 58:31 you can see how I install the pages. Hope this helps! the good news is if you goof its only black cardstock and not designer paper :)
