Amongst other things it helps demonstrate the similarities, and that we are all part of an academic community, staff and students together, who are often sat in rooms at laptops - writing, presenting, reading, discussing, and meandering around a campus!

I’m thinking of setting up a different channel that is focused on being an academic, but importantly returning to traditional academic values, and the craft of bring an academic. I sense from colleagues and many, that academia is a sector that’s having its spirit and ethos eroded, through the onslaught of performance metrics, management, marketisation, efficiency, and now AI. I want to provide a space for academics who want to experience and share the true meaning and practices of what it is to be a scholar. We all enter the scholarsphere with a passion for learning, teaching, a love of books and knowledge, reflection, and discussion. But this is threatened in todays academic world. many academics are unhappy, and I’d therefore love to make a channel that focuses on the art of being and academic, and champions the beliefs inherent in the field

I think they are great tasks collectively. Personally I would love to see more ‘a day in the life of a Professor’. So video just about yourself would be as amazing as any vlogs that you’ve ever made 😊
