This was a great concert I was their with my girlfriend who is my wife. I watch this concert and it brings back wonderful memories. This version of flame trees just brilliant. Jimmy Barnes just gets better and better. Onya Barnesy your music means everything to me from rock /roll and your soul records are fantastic.
Thought I'd seen every Chisel video out - never seen this and I was in Adelaide around this time. Cheers for posting it mate. Having a couple of quiets remembering when the world was a better place.

Love Jimmy too I’m 55 next month 2022. Been a fan since I was 14 had a mad crush on him. Got to meet him on his Working Class Boy Book Tour here in Canberra. He is a genuine, funny, caring, bloke. Chatted for about 10 minutes. Myself and my daughter got photos, he signed the 2 books and poster. I got them in the package when you paid to meet Jimmy. Because of disability Mahalia got her dad to come up to me at the top of the stairs, as I couldn’t walk with my walker down to the stage. I freaked out he wondered why, I told him I have been loving Chisel and him since I was 14. He said come and give me a hug/cuddle. He is just like us fame hasn’t gone to his head. Such a caring man!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
What is it about Barnsey? He could sing any (in his words) FKN thing and we would love it! Keep it going Jimmy! You have survived (thank Fcuk) keep entertaining us!
Follow him on facebook, he has supported us East Coasters through lockdowns and continues to pump stuff out gratis - his family and offspring are amazing as well!
I appreciate Barnesy more after knowing his difficult youth. Such an obvious rough tough exterior but really such a gentle man. Renee Geyer and Jimmy together was mind blowing. Life's too short for burning bridges. Jimmy you can sing the phone book to me anytime.
Ah, Adelaide is the soul of Australian Rock, isn't it? I know a lot of our classic bands started in Melbourne, coming from SA, WA or NZ - and many originally from Britain - but there is still something about South Australia for producing bands, artists, and holding great gigs...

Shivers every time I hear this song.
i was there, ive got this on VHS amazing night
I love reading this - VHS❣️ How cool.
Kids out driving Saturday afternoon just pass me by
And I'm just savouring familiar sights
We share some history, this town and I (certainly Did)
And I can't stop that long forgotten feeling of her
Try to book a room and stay tonight
Number One is to find some friends to say "you're doing well"
After all this time you boys look just the same
Number Two is the happy hour at one of two hotels
Settle in to play "do you remember so and so?"
Number Three is never say her name
Oh-oh the flame trees will blind the weary driver
And there's nothing else could set fire to this town
There's no change, there's no pace, everything within its place
Just makes it harder to believe, she won't be around...
But oh! Oh who needs that sentimental bullshit, anyway?
Takes more than just a memory to make me cry
And I'm happy just to sit here at a table with old friends
And see which one of us can tell the biggest lies!
And there's a girl, she's falling in love near - where the pianola stands
With a young local factory auto worker just holding hands
And I'm wondering if you'll go or if you'll stay>
Do you remember, nothing stopped us on the field
In our day?
Oh The flame trees will blind the weary driver
And there's nothing else could set fire to this town
There's no change, there's no pace
Everything within its place
Just makes it harder to believe that she won't be around
Oh! The flame trees will blind the weary driver
And there's nothing else could set fire to this town
There's no change, there's no pace
Everything within its place
Just makes it harder to believe that she won't be around
