The argument most people use on games like Assetto Corsa is that on real life you can't use racing lines and braking lines, and that's true. But... The game is not real life, and has these features lol. Who wants immersion turns everything off, who wants to have fun without worrying too much just use assists. It's a game after all, and it gives us options, everybody plays the way they want.
Something I've been wondering. Is the time loss from refueling really greater than the loss in lap time? Does the higher fuel not increase tyre wear as well? Also, on some tracks you don't have to go hard twice to have a soft tyre stint. On Kyalami, Hard-Medium-Soft is possible, at least in the C8. Not sure if it works on Sebring though. But I really like the 2 stop races so far, it's a breath of fresh air having different strats instead of the same one or two ways to do a race.
I tried your suggestion tonight and things went quite well. :) I agree, the longer races are definitely a breath of fresh air. Sorry I'm just now seeing your comment
@evansaviano8524 In order for the tires to remain durable, they must have a very precise millimetric turning angle in cornering, and the gas and brake points must be very millimetric, even if the skids are small, which causes the tires to wear out in such long races.
They set the tire wear to x6? I did a few practice laps in free play and set tire wear to x4. Online I wondered why it`s so differently. Until now I always thought that tire wear was set to x4 for the shorter races. Thanks for clearing that up, then I don't have to be surprised.
i had a decent race around here this morning. I managed to hit a 2:00:7 on Mediums in the Acura but the two guys ahead of me were flying. Dudes were hitting a 1:59:8 in the lexus and a 2:00:4 in the Audi
Me and a couple of team mates found on most of the tracks a Med/Hard/Med strat works very well. We tried Hard/Soft/Hard but you're on Hards for longer losing well over a second a lap compared to meds, which you simply won't make up on the stint on softs. I also tried a one stop at sebring Hards/Hards and that did not pay off lol Nords is basically pit for Meds each lap. Oh, also, I use breaking line and for those that cry about it, here's my middle digit 🖕🤣
I did 2 races at sebring. Something really weird happened in both of them... In the first race, there was a guy with a corvette (the newest one) that was able to run on hards the same times as me on mediums... He had same straight line speed and same cornering as me. I was in the mercedes. In the second race, there was a guy in the new porsche...he was able to do a 3 stop with 30 secconds gap at the end, I was allway on med, and ran consistently in the 2:01....that guy, had his fastest lap at 1:57
Hey man great race, I’m new to the game I’ve been playing a week. I’ve been using the Porsche and Aston vantage (are they viable?) but struggle to finish higher than middle of the pack with them. Are you able to share the Porsche tune and I’ll see if I can place any higher with it.
Yeah, I'll try to put it up a little later tonight when I go to record. If you're new to the game and want to be a little bit quicker, I would choose something like the Viper. It's much faster and easier to drive than the Porsche or Aston. Check out xKevlared or PRM Stu for a great and very fast tune. Be sure to shift around 5700 RPM to stay in the powerband and try to get used to playing without traction and stability control (you'll thank me in the long run). 🫡😎
Yesterday in Kyalami a guy missed his breaking point. I was then wedged between two cars and the idiot cut me off. He slid into me with the back of his car, spun around and I got the four seconds. Afterwards he was upset that I had spun him out. I recorded it and even sent him the clip afterwards. But he didn't understand, he was adamant that it was my fault. Before that I was joking because I had just got my S rating back. Now I'm back to A.
Time lost on Hard tires compared to Medium = 6 laps a 1 -1.5 sec = 6 - 9sec 2 stints = 12 - 18 sec. Time won on Soft tires compared to medium 3 laps a 1.5 - 2 sec = 4.5 - 6 sec. ROI = Negative 7.5 - 12 sec 3 stints Medium is the way to go... It could have worked if the tire deg was low enough to make it a 1 stop VS a 2 stop..
A surprising car on this track if the damping is tuned right is the 488. I was able to run a 202.7 there with that. I couldn't get past a 203.5 with the Porsche. But that's driver error there for me 😅
Making a mistake caused you to struggle for fifth place and lose the win, I know the difficulties of the game, low grip, etc., but you should also apply other techniques, for example, you should be able to change the places where you hit the brakes and gas in the corners, it's very difficult but doable, if you can do this, you can regain the lost time because it will give you a strong acceleration at the exit of the bend.
Hopefully people realize its pointless to fight on the early laps of these long races so you can work together through bump drafting and not fighting to catch up to others.
I think the intro was a little low, but I think I noticed and adjusted it at some point during the video. I'm watching it back and it's mostly the intro that seemed too low from what I can tell. 🤷 Sorry about that
@@erraticgt Yeah, I wrote my comment in the beginning of the race. :D But It's not just your voice, the whole video sound is somehow low in volume relative to others. Just as feedback, not a complaint. No sorry necessary. :)

Your tires are screaming on every corner I wonder if your set up for the car is too aggressive and you are wearing your tires down faster than it should.
I'm not saying you're wrong, but not every corner you hear tire squeal on is actual tire squeal. I've noticed that there are certain places on certain tracks where you'll hear the squealing of tires even if you're just casually driving by at 25-30mph on softs. 😬
Hey Bro. First of all I’m sorry that you see it that way.. I get the point that your making… But thing is. As long as devs give us cars like this, I will use them.. remember.. this is the 3rd car that’s considered op by some of the com.. 1 of them was removed from the gt3 class. This is why you don’t see 935 in every race taking first 5 places.
I get what you're saying and why you're using it now. I think you misunderstood what I meant when I said the car is broken and you should be using something else. What I was saying is that you're already a fast driver, so getting in the most broken car in the game and destroying everyone by 20+ seconds kind of sucks the fun out of the lobby for everyone, in my opinion. That's why I was saying you should stop using it, at least until it's balanced. So yes, the car is broken. No, I don't think you're a bad driver that sucks if you don't use it. I personally think you're a good driver that is too fast to be using that car, at least in lobbies where nobody else is. But that's just my opinion, it's no reflection on you.
