The main issue with this game is that the developers are far more concerned about adding things rather than fixing things🤷♂️ you can't keep adding things to an already unstable game without fixing the foundation first. It will only get worse the more they add until the game collapses and nobody wants to play. Modern Forza is honestly an insult to anybody who loves the franchise and enjoys racing games in general. The game screams wasted potential everywhere its actually painful, almost feels like they're doing this on purpose as a joke🤦♂️ I feel like players aren't even annoyed at Turn10 anymore but rather confused as if to wonder why they think it's acceptable to make a game like this?🤷♂️ lies, false advertising, recycled assests, glitches galore, etc. It will only be a matter of time when the game dies before Turn10 add anything new, players will have moved on with Forza and their lives to the point where nobody will trust them to make a good game ever again! Just annoys me because the only racing game i wanna play on the Xbox and it's Forza Motorsport 🤷♂️
Unfortunately this game was not made well and I dont think there will ever be a time where it will work properly for everyone. With every update there's another handful of bugs. They don't seem to do hot fixes anymore either so It kind of is what it is at this point.
Absolutely, I’m an open class tuner, player of Forza since the 1st Forza. My problem that made me uninstall the game is I ran out of tuning slots after 1 month!! It says you have to delete some tunes but I can’t. There’s 100 x more cars and tracks than tune saves!! Absolutely ridiculous.
As much as I hate to say it, this game needs a 2.0 Update like what Cyberpunk 2077 got. Forget adding Content, fix the issues, and make the game playable. Until then I would recommend GT7, iRacing, Low Fuel Motorsports on Assetto Corsa or even GRID Legends. The last 2 I'd be willing to join as well.
I agree, definitely needs a big update that actually addresses all the issues. I have some ACC content in my livestream VODs, so that would be one of the easier transitions since I already have everything ready to go
The thing is,the "No man's sky effect" and "Cyberpunk 2077 effect" shouldn't be a thing in the first place, a game being a bit buggy but fully functional and with enough content to start is one thing,but Forza Motorsport 2023 wasn't there on release, neither with the updates (with functional updates being sporadic), and they pretty much had no direct competition at that level on the market (maybe GRID Legends,but Codemasters ruined it's luck releasing it so close to GT7), adding the long hiatus between FM7 and Motorsport 2023,Turn 10 wasted all their luck in less than a year of release.
In my opinion, that won't happen. In contrast to Cyberpunk - which had a good basic structure - Forza is long dead. There is hardly a player base left and with a recycled track every 2 months and 3 or 4 recycled and old cars, they don't lure anyone back. I notice it in myself: I hardly start the game anymore. When the update came out, I drove a few laps again, but I just don't feel like it anymore. What the game might need is a massive update. 4 or 5 new tracks, 20 current cars and finally an overhaul of the broken penalty system. But let's not kid ourselves: Without Microsoft in the background, T10 would probably already be bankrupt. I somehow doubt that MS wants to invest any more.
I was watching a comparison video two days ago on sim racers & assetto corso looked like they had put the most effort into it out of all of them. The guy was making fun of Forza. It’s basically the worst sim racer out there rn.
Exact same thing happened to Halo Infinite. They didn't have enough game modes at launch. People left. They brought back like 50 game modes (including community customs) and subsequently, the small remaining player base was spread so thin that you can't even matchmake.

The Halo Infinite scenario was closer to The Flash movie than anything: Delays,several changes in Management (several), no clear definition of where the project was going and then an underwhelming release,with Infinite having the perfect window for a FPS release with Battlefield 2042 and Call of Duty Vanguard having mostly negative reception from the public,but just like Turn 10,343 Industries messed up by not doing anything of value in the months after release.
That’s another big issue I think they messed up at launch, is the diversity of the series. It’s not the most popular racing game to begin with and then you go ahead and put series in rotation. Not everybody wants to run GT4 or formula mazda, or if it’s R and A class in the hoppers then they just pushed all the D C B and S class guys away. I have multiple friends that have hung up Forza cause of that. They only race the lower classes and don’t want to wait on rotation so they just quit playing.
I keep having this scenario where two cars are in front of me side by side, pushing each other, one gets mad, pits the other & I tbone them & it give me a 4.5 second penalty but neither of them get a penalty. The penalty system is back asswards.
Hope you stay around Erraric because I love your private races and uploads, but I understand your frustration. The lack of tracks, cars, game modes and poor lobby sizes. The bugs and glitches are unexceptable, and I'm amazed turn10 didn't delay this and thought the game was in a playable state, the dying playerbase shows the current situation of the game. If you quit forza (which would be a shame) I wouldn't mind gt7 content but what ever you do I wish you luck ❤
I’m feeling that man, my views have dried up recently (but that could be that my videos are bad, to be fair) which to me shows a lack of interest in the game right now. Be me, a touring car fan, that has not had anything since the MG/Peugeot update like 7 months ago? Those lobbies have been stale for a while, I have not had the same issues with lobby size, been quite lucky and most if not all have had 10/12+ people in them. I’m looking at adding some challenge videos in again but who knows what interest there is in them content wise. I don’t want to have to switch games but it’s hard finding a reason to stay right now!
I actually enjoyed the hour long race felt like I was doing something. But I can see were you’re coming from with what they should do on the get racing. I don’t like haveing a limited number of cars to choose from. When GT spec series first started I liked how everyone was in a different car. Showed variety.
I would love to do the hour long race, but I would also love it being closer to a full lobby with a nice mix of classes and I just haven't been able to find a race like that
Hey Erratic, I totally get your frustration. I just came back to Forza myself and while there were some good improvements, I'm still baffled by some of the decisions by Turn10. Seeing this weeks lobbies really had my scratching my head, as I was also immediately thinking that they were spreading the player base way to thin. My experience is similar to yours and while at the moment I'm still giving it a chance, I'm unsure if I can keep that up. My recommendation to you: Try some other games and don't force yourself to only play FM. I've realized more and more that doing TH-cam without having fun can lead to deep frustration. So find something you really enjoy and do that. Viewers will see and feel that you have fun and will enjoy other games as well.
They are purposely killing the game. The solutions to fix the game can be found in the forums coming from the community still around that actually care about the game. It is also clear that the current devs don’t understand the engine coding that the game is operating on, which is why it takes so long to fix the bugs in the game. This current game was never built from the ground up it was copy pasted and layered onto, problem is the ones that were there for the base level coding are no longer around.
The main reason for this is that they have included in the game now actually 12 series (10 online) at the same time. Аnd in each series there are 3-4 races available. Everyone is sitting in different lobbies.
I agree with you 100%, I took about 2 months off roughly because I needed a break from this game. I haven’t raced online in a while but this sounds bad with what they’ve done online. I think private lobbies are the way to go. They should just have 2 multi-classes for one endurance race. While I’m glad we have Road Atlanta back, it feels like they’re just recycling content from forza 7 as a way of improvising for updates. They should look at their first 4 motorsports games and see what made them great. A great update would be something like having Sedona making its return and having a multi class lobby with GT3 cars with the prototypes. Or to bring back some of the sidewinder tracks and put them in lobbies for spec races. Or bring a completely new track to the game, preferably a fantasy city track with a few different layouts and verifications. If anything they should be drawing inspiration from PGR. When I played GT7, I sometimes felt bored of racing on some of the current tracks on there as well. It’s not like the old days. For example Gran valley is a great track but it’s a former shadow of its self compared to the versions from GT1 - GT6. Forza Motorsport feels like it follows a similar trend. It’s difficult but don’t give up on what your doing with your content. The game can indeed be frustrating at times but I think the game needs another year at least before it starts getting better. Plus with games like test drive unlimited finally coming back, it might get turn10 to wake up a bit when more of their customers divert their interests towards other racing games. Maybe take a small break and then try again as that’s what trying to do now.
Sorry about how you are feeling towards Forza. I myself have been on a little bit of a Hiatus (but for different reasons). But look at the bright side! They are adding features requested such as, radar, rear-view mirror in 3rd person, tire wear in private lobbies, multi class racing, etc. It's getting there. But I do agree that they need to focus on the core issues of game stability and penalties, etc.... All of the niche features do not mean much if you can't play the game in the first place. On another positive note, look at how much your channel has grown. Over 3k subscribers, your lobbies are always full, and so on. Forza will get better, but it may be quite some time before that happens. Hope you can stick it out until then :)

Pretty much all of these features MUST be in the game from launch. Adding all of this over a year of updates and the game still doesnt work.... just no, no no no no no. 0/10 turbos for T10. Sure its getting there, but getting to where it MUST be for a AAA title at launch and it takes them a year and it still doesnt work... whenever they get there, if they do. the game will be 100% dead. Forza is dead. Without MS in the background T10 wouldn`t even excist anymore. No playerbase left, only 200 tunes for over 500 cars, penalty system still broken, recyceltes Cars and a recycelt Track every two months...I`m also done.
As someone who has been a huge Forza fan since beta, decades ago, it is absolutely unforgivable what turn 10 has done. The fact there isn't unlimited automatic replay saves with no space limiting nonsense like for tubes and everything, is absolutely unforgivable and the excuses shameful. The one fantastic thing that's come of this pathetic debacle is that I got a PS5 just for Gran Turismo 7. And holy macrel, it's amazing. Forza had lowered the experience and expectation so badly like an abusive relationship that it's nirvana. I ended up getting a DD+ wheel and the FFB is just the absolute best, next level. Then the Michelin physics/tire model enhancement has just been mind blowing incredible. And then with PS VR2 which I just got. OMFG. Stop suffering, go into the promised land, and live happily and with great joyousness. The online racing is amazing. Now also complain to polyphony Digital that they need to have automatic unlimited replay saves both locally and to the cloud. This is the only thing they need to correct.
Yea honestly they messed up for me when I found out they separated the gt series into gt2/3/4 and they don’t even have a wide selection of cars to pick from and when both classes aren’t available i don’t want to play the game I just turn it off honestly tbh bro I been looking into switching to gt7 or hell maybe even asseto corsa competizione they car selection is a lot more to pick from and I like the vr support for gt7 it seems cool to me to idk but rn forza is in a sad sad place rn
I think turn 10 is making all the shit by purpose. Infinity bugs, separating gts, shiting the cars and making them mutually exclusive. Please, turn10, don't think we are clowns.
i only ever find full lobby’s in the open class racing, that’s if you can get in the race, once you’re in there’s glaring meta and extremely dirty drivers compared to the gt spec series, still fun but i end up rage closing the game due to rammers
Same here mate, I've ditched the game because of it after several months of ownership. Single player works okay yet multiplayer is often a horrible experience of system crashes, dropped connections & never ending loading screens. The only good thing I've to say about the game is that it looks modern
they made a "mistake" like 2 updates ago to where you can now choose to join 2 tracks simultaneously in every single hopper in-game... where as previously you were only able to join 1 track per hopper and if you missed it you would have to wait like 2-8 minutes. So the lobby's were basically cut in half lol. What they need to do is make it to where everyone is forced to join into 1 track/lobby, and if you miss it then you have to wait the full race length to join the next one. It sounds harsh but it is what needs to be done... The only alternative to this is to cut the the amount of joinable hoppers in half if not more... Yes stability and bug fixes will bring some people back but it will not magically fill all the lobbies up.
i’ve been thinking about this for a bit. i still play the game and it just gets worse and worse. the new content like the tracks and cars are nice. but when u add things but don’t fix things it doesn’t work. as you mentioned. i believe it needs a 2.0 update as a few others said that way people will come back. when it comes to your content. i’ll watch whatever you post as long as it’s racing personally.
As a Racing Game, Forza Motorsport 2023 has marked the end for Forza Motorsport (at least in the short term), with Forza Horizon proving to be a more solid (but more arcade) experience even with all it's highs and lows (Horizon 5 is not even close to perfect,but Playground Games had given it More love than Turn 10 to Forza Motorsport), I'm not even comparing it with other franchises, I'm comparing it with its main Spin-off, that from time to time,gives the spotlight to player made tracks (from real to fictional,and even tracks from another franchises,like Gran Turismo). I played since the early pre-release days (Game Pass+ Ultimate Pack),i had my hopes that the game could be a decent experience and alternative for more raw simulators,and for a time,it was,but then the bugs started to intensify in the release version, crashes with new updates (Daytona,for example), penalty, matchmaking and more gimmicks that were a joke,with the last nail in the coffin being a bug that couldn't let me play because i had too many liveries in my cars, something i have in Horizon 4 or 5,but apparently,is a game breaking bug in Turn 10's hands, that was all, with that i simply gave up. If i need to name a Forza, there is only Horizon,and then all the Forza titles until 7, there is nothing else.
I think your complaints are valid to a point when it comes to spreading things to thin. Ive seen this sort of opinion a lot recently and it comes from people who mainly race gt hoppers. Not everyone wants to race gt cars everyday, i dont see it as a bad thing that theyre giving those people more options. I think there are numerous reasons why people stopped playing this game, but one of them was definitely not being able to race how and what they wanted. There should have been more options at launch and people would have naturally migrated to where they wanted to be. Turn 10 could have then trimmed the fat and focused on what was popular. As far as lobby size, imo id rather have 10 competitive players than 24 shoemakers. People complained that lobby size was prioritized over skill/safety, so they changed it and now people are complaining the lobbies are too small. I just want to add im not happy how this game turned out and i very rarely defend it, but i think adding options is what this game needs more than anything. I dont drift or drag race but those disciplines should have also been in this game as it cost them thousands of players.
I’ve had the tune glitch for over a month. I reported it. They had no answer for it. It’s really pushed me towards ACC the last couple weeks. I’m enjoying ACC but it’s a very different game. It’s not the easiest to switch back and forth between ACC and Forza. But I would definitely watch some ACC videos.
The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over while expecting different results. T10, while I'm sure they understand how broken their product is, won't truly care unless they lose their entire player base. It's truly unfortunate that everyone walking away will be what either makes or breaks the game in the long run, but it's what has to be done. If you have a PS5, give GT7 a try... or if you're staying on PC, ACC or AMS2 are good titles as well if you want a more true to sim experience.
I have some ACC content in my live stream VODs. I might try doing some rivals challenges or something in Forza too. I have a PS5, but I'll have to learn how to hook it up for recording and livestreaming and whatnot. I'll figure something out though.
If you decided to split off to other games I wouldn't blame you, at least until they fix the issues you listed. I'm a Gran Turismo player, I gave this game a fair shot a couple months ago and just left disappointed after not even a week of playing it, especially the online portion. I had my close races and was very impressed with the selection of cars but something just felt like it was off. Maybe it's just the way GT handles the BoP and the rating system but I find myself having a more enjoyable time on GT7 in Sport Mode compared to FMS. GT7 offers consistent close racing in higher split lobbies with minimal effort needed to get everything up and running, no downloading setups or purchasing cars
I only watch one other person that regularly plays Forza and in every single one of his videos there's at least 3 disconnects. I hate to say this because it's a whole new console but the times I play gt7 and when I watch online, I rarely see these issues crop up. Now GT7 is far from perfect, and in a lot of ways a step down. But once you get past the rammers, that can be fixed with private lobbies, it's a solid game with a good variety of cars.
I'm going to give them credit where it is due : the game is way more stable since update 11. I no longer have connexion problem at launch, I no longer wait 5 minuts for shadders to optimize themselves and the game no longer get stuck after a race. It ain't perfect but at least, they are doing something.
The thing is: too little,too late,they already lost a good amount of their playerbase, Motorsport 2023 is now living under the shadow of Forza Horizon 5 and nothing seems to take it out of there in a short time. (And even in the Forza Monthly, Motorsport is just a "Plus" in the amount of Horizon 5 content)
Totally agree, buddy! I have stepped back from playing massively since they split up the GT class into multiple classes on a weekly rotation. I want to use certain cars, but can't because I need to wait a week to be able to enjoy it again. That, while also constantly rebooting the game because it crashes whenever you exit a race - I've had this for 3 months now, no mention of it in any patch notes. The penalty system seems to get better and then go all the way back to square one, awful drivers are still an issue. I'm just waiting for Assetto Corsa Evo, meanwhile, will jump on to play the single player races to get the new cars in the hopes that one day I'll get around to experiencing and enjoying them on the off chance that the game ever improves, and T10 get their s*** together. Ultimately, it was your personality and engagement that got my subscription and membership purchase on YT. I don't really care what game you're playing, I enjoy your content because of YOU - Not Forza. So whatever makes you happy, and results in content, is what I'm happy to watch.
500 cars / 100 tuning slots. Seriously they are dumb at turn 10. Never had this issue before. Can’t play coz I can’t save tunes. If there’s 30 tracks and 500 cars you need at least 15000 tuning slots NOT 100 if it’s even 100. No TH-camrs ever cover this major issue for tuners.
I've definitely mentioned it before. A workaround is to go to the "Save & Share" menu and delete tunes from within that menu (which is the only one that works as far as I know). Once you've cleared some space up through that menu, you should be able to download tunes again. Dumb, I know, but at least it works for now.
Cannot agree more with all the points you made. It's quite nice that they finally added some features we asked for, but sad af they just don't optimize all the bugs we all encounter. they already f'ed up at launch and with the first two updates so much that the playerbase already plumeted, and made matchmaking a joke, because they need to somehow fill up lobbies. I use to say to newcomers on my streams that this game is mostly fun when playing with friends. You have enough of a community to fill up a private lobby, so if you want to keep on playing, do like I do, and organise complete championships with your community. For example, I do championships of 5 races in a given division of cars, or class of cars, etc. We set rules (this or this meta car not allowed, IP restrictions, types of tires, x stops, tracks in reverse, whatever...) and we have fun running these championships together. This gives variety in the race themes and types, and motivation for the community to strive to greatness with you, and ... something fun to watch for your viewers. Just a suggestion ;)
I really wanna love this game, but the past few days I've run into the same issues. This is the first game that I've got a steering wheel for in a long time and have been having fun. I hope they fix these issues and make it continuously fun.
Know what you mean. Since they destroyed the gt class been finding my Forza happiness in everything but gt, tc and formula Mazda. Maybe start making videos about other events. I’d watch that, there’s life beyond gt class 😊

The state of this game is in shambles. 0 optimization, riddled with bugs, matchmaking, penalty system is a joke, crashes at any random moment disconnects from races with a perfectly good internet connection, fps drops when joining lobbies. Weird car balancing, limited car variety in the gt spec to name a “few”. I’m sure I’m missing a bunch more. I could do a couple months with no new content if it meant they fixed the bugs, and actually make a finished game, which it’s had a year long worth of chances, and still nothing to write home about.
@@pricelesspppthat's the only major solution for a solid Online Experience without clubs or private championships (either that or GT7,but since GT7 is Playstation exclusive..), LFM has done the job for ACC, but Apparently didn't have the same effect in the normal Asseto Corsa,and the rest of the racing games and Sims don't have enough player base for that matter.
@@DerpSherman Gran Turismo 7 is the best. Just wow. The last few months going to try it out after Forza ruined everything, was the best thing that has ever happened. No subscriptions, fantastic online racing full of so many to race with ( still needs banning for rammers ) and the entire experience is prima polished lux . The FFB with DD+ is unmatched, the PS VR2 is mind blowing. It redefines the bar as it's a 9.5/10 and shows Forza is a 3. If Polyphony Digital has a pro. Mode monthly subscription for accountability and racing, it would be untouchable. The new v1.49 Michelin physics/tire model is just sublime.
@@herlegz6969 The thing is: you need to buy either a PS4 or PS5 for it,for those in PC, buying an entire console for just one game,is simply not worth it,is the only thing Forza Motorsport has nowadays,is available in PC and within a market where there is no real competition. (Since neither Forza or GT are fully built sims,they are pretty much sitting in the middle between GRID and Forza Horizon even more arcade approach and the more Sim Focused games,like AMS2,IRacing or ACC)
Most of the problems all sync back to Game Pass. MS has made it clear their future in gaming is Game Pass and including AAA games as a day one release to entice people to your service will only ever lead to sub standard releases. Game Pass is great for those that like to try out loads of different, very bad for those that really want to dedicate time a single game. Unfortunately this then has a knock on effect for everyone who plays Xbox 1st party titles as they simply do not receive the support that a third party title would.
GT4 is underbaked for sure. , and was never going to be as popular as the other 2 classes even if it wasn't. But the playerbase split goes farther than 10 hoppers. Endurance has 4 race overlap. You do one race and miss 3 with 1 minute left to join the next. Matchmaking is building multiple small lobbies because you can lobby hop and end up in a different lobby each time during peak hours. So it's not matching properly and you end up with a lot of small lobbies of random players.
You're definitely right about all the lobby overlap Another commenter mentioned that this game needs a massive update like Cyberpunk 2077 got and I REALLY agree with that. I'm just really bummed out about the current state of the game right now and wish they would figure stuff out.
@@Kaylos29 There should a more efficient matchmaking,if there is too many small lobbies,just mix them when there is one or two minutes before race, instead of leaving them all half full or with just two or three people, I'm sure people would be happier by getting another loading screen that at least gives them a full grid in a massive track (Le Mans with a handful of people feels soulless), rather than these micro lobbies with no one to race with.

@@erraticgt you and me both brother. Instead of taking proven forumulas that worked for IRacing and LFM on ACC (LFM massively raised ACC's profile and popularity), they tried to reinvent the wheel.
I was on last night too, also about 3am, & there was 6 people in the multi class races. Idk why they make it 4 classes in the one race. 3 would have been enough. Speaking of bugs, I enjoy using the Xpeng in A class bc the acceleration is bonkers. But the developers have put a ‘-‘ through the pit stops in the tire/fuel tab, so idk what tires to use and how many pits I need to make. I can adjust the “fuel” though! (which is EV battery power). Why would I ever want to adjust the battery power? It doesn’t lighten the car lol And while we’re talking about it bugs.. I’m getting SO tired of racing for 20 minutes and getting kicked from the race. It’s happened about 30 or 40 times & I’m getting tired of it. It’s insane. The worst is when it kicks you 15 seconds before the race starts because you wasted 15 minutes in practice/qualifying and then can’t even reload the game and hop back in that race before it starts. Oh yeah… the driver suit lol how is that simple bug not fixed yet
Small things like… No skill or safety rating displayed to other players and no tyre information displayed during a race just shows me they don’t ’get it’ and it can’t be taken seriously as a racing game. I tried GT4 and multi class. It’s bad. I’m not playing for a while.
The game will just make auto career saves for no reason! I will check my tune and there will be three more that I didn't make! I daily have to go in and manually delete these things! The penalty system still punishes the person who got hit half the time!!!
I hear your pain bud, id stick with Forza but maybe expand horizons, Assetto Corsa Evo come out soon which will be on PC at first but will also move to Xbox, that’s what I’m waiting for, for now maybe try some touring cars, lobby’s always well populated
You know what's weird. I was on an i7-8700k and always had connection issues. I upgraded to a Ryzen 5800x3D and haven't had any connection issues. It wouldn't connect with the i7-8700k and would just stay on the screen trying to connect to the service. Kind of weird once I upgraded a CPU the connection problems went away. And yes, I think they're trading out classes because of server issues. I wish they didn't take away the GT3 because I'm not interested in the other classes.
Most people are doing the Endurance Multiclass races this week. i raced a few and always had a full lobby. What is important here is that in practice you only see the playercount of your group so there are more people than the number on the top left. Overall the endurance races are a lot of fun but I must say I don't like that there is no GT3 class to race at the moment.
I haven't been able to get more than 14 people in an endurance race and 12 people were in group 1 while myself and another guy were in group 3. What's the fun in that?

I personally think they should focus on and make sure the game doesn't shut down all the time. When you contact support, they say you have to send a spec with update info, graphics card info, etc. My ass. They also make you lose the desire to use their games. Instead of THEY making their game better. I have amd spec rx6800xt ryzen 9 5900x. Had enough at some point and delete everything on my computer Format c: and d: drive. Only to find out it better not work. The game is super cool WHEN it's running. It just doesn't do that very often. Some updates are good, while others make it impossible to play their games.
They aren’t gonna fix the game they will continue with bare minimum updates every month adding crap that’s been in every previous Motorsport till the game has been out for 1.5-2 years then the devs will abandon the game so fast to move on to their next project
well the first problem you came across is "3 in the morning",people are not this obsessed to grind tracks to this hour,in ussual hours it was fine every time i was playing ,and ussualy i was playing open class series online,other thing is that racing game itself is very niche genre in general,even tho in concept its one of the most competitive things in the world ,theres way more cassuals than competitive people,most people want to free roam,some wants to drift around,some wants to do drift racing ,and probably only very few people wants to actually race competitively ,and this is what forza doesnt offer,you cant drag together comfortably,you cant do drifting,litteraly only thing you can do in this game is competitive racing ,and plot twist,its not that great,in open class series everyone goes for meta track cars or meta cars in general,so this mean that 95% of all car list is absolutely irelevant,in gt series its idk,for me as a newbie those cars ar too lose,either i go with more stability control and the race is absolutely not competitive for me ,or i try go assist'less and i spinout and lose race,also performance issues with the game is just ridiculous at this point,constant freezes ,crashes,infinite loading screens,its just a party killer honestly ,there was so many times i finished the LONG practise session,all hyped up to start racing ,and i get infinite loading screen after practise,knowing full well i wont be able to race in the race was upcoming , tbh , in general FM is a good game ,it has good physics ,i love that im able to play in chase camera , car sounds isnt horrible ,but everything else is SOOOO bad ,its actually sad,maybe if they give up on xbox gamepass type of bussiness model and only " buy to play" model,they would try harder ,but now its just a mess,check steamcharts,i know its not the main auditory for the game ,but its just miserable numbers ,its just a rant from my perspective ,im not even good at the game,i want to play it,but i already unsubscribed from game pass because the optimization is so ass,maybe next motorsports will do better,hell,maybe granturismo will be playble on pc one day,and i cant wait for that day to come
@@xfreaker9694 Lol, I'm not obsessively grinding tracks. I started trying to find races at 9pm when I was finally free to play and I couldn't find one decent lobby for the next 6 hours. So I just gave up and recorded this video. The game needs a lot of work and I hope they get their act together sooner than later

6:36 I am sorry to say but this is wishful thinking. this tends to be the beginning of the end for most titles... unless there is a MOD released that breathes new life into the platform or a DLC that adds something everyone has been waiting for. even then if it isnt released efficiently it can be even worse. Id hate to see the game die, but even just as a viewer Ive been noticing a severe lacking in variety. my personal opinion is that this game falls short of an actual sim, but is too difficult for an arcade, couple that with the intentional rammers and poor penalty system and....
Im liking it tbh been getting some close racing and some track manners. Some of the known issues Ive had but its been mostly ok. I had 1000s of hrs on 1,2,3,4 but this is my first fm since and first on pc and I like the physics on this one. They added my absolute favourite track as well road atlanta.
@@erraticgt do you ever run your own server and race subscribers? Might be a way to control rammers and get a full server, I'd play if it wasnt to late at night? Also, you should try acc, I'd play way more acc if I didnt work full time and have kids its a little more serious than fm but works flawlessly and the racing is amazing.
@@paddyodoors2757 I have some ACC content on my VODs and I do private lobbies in Forza basically every live stream. It certainly helps, but even in private lobbies you get FPS issues, people disconnecting constantly, infinite loading screens, etc. I want the game to be good, which is why I've waited this long to say something. The current state of the game should've been how it launched though, with improvements from there.
I honestly think the main issues in this game are poor matchmaking (creating lobbies with friends, recent players, etc is annoying and unstable), an awful skill rating system, an awful penalty system, and a lack of strategy variety. We have short, medium, and long races with occasional wet conditions, three dry tire options and one wet tire option (race tires specifically, who actually gives a shit about the others?). Look at GT7 with it's variable weather system, different pit stop rules/strats, and 12 different tire options just to name a few things. I always tell my friends that this game reminds me of Halo Infinite. Good core gameplay but literally everything else is awful. Menus are bad, matchmaking is bad, skill ratings are bad, and there is nothing to work towards whatsoever. Lock some liveries, paint schemes, decals, or racing suits behind skill progression walls. Also, why can't we customize race suits/helmets like cars?? On top of all of this, where are the tournaments? Why can't we have multi race tournaments across different tracks with a points system? FFS, Mario Kart does this. I agree with a lot of the points in this video but I don't think adding cars or even tracks should be a top priority for T10 right now. Make the game interesting and fun with real progression, a real ranked/SR system that means something, and more strategy options. NOTE: These opinions are coming from someone who mainly plays the GT2, GT3, Formula Mazda, and Touring hoppers.
I think the bugs/stability issues should be their main focus for now. Once everything is operating smoothly, then yes, focus on matchmaking, and the other myriad of issues with safety rating, the penalty system, etc. That said, they should also assign 1-2 people to work on new cars (like actually new cars that race currently), and then release them when they're ready and everything is in order. Also, adding "new" tracks shouldn't be hard since they're literally recycling old tracks anyway. Nurburgring GP circuit with the weird hump at the apex of turn 4 that doesn't exist in real life and has been in Forza forever is a perfect example. If the track had actually been rescanned and updated, it wouldn't be there. Adding all of their fictional tracks also shouldn't be an issue, and yet they're nowhere to be found. It's just annoying. I'll figure out what to do though.
And that's the reason why I rarely sell them play my Forza Motorsports because of certain things that they'll fix and then their things they're still having problems with I wish they would make up their mind what's more important fix the issues that need to be addressed and then bring cars in that should be in the game😮
Although I do love the physics of this game over previous Forza games, it's so bare bones. My last hope is that in October, when the game hits it's 1 year anniversary, the team re-release this as a FM 2.0, with improvements to everything, and even completely overhauling other things. No way a full year passes by and all they do is add another old track and some cars. 1 year anniversary should be a re-release.
I am not sure if this would be something to try, but I would not mind if you raced the AI in solo play mode. The reason I say this is just a few videos to see if there has been improvements to the AI driving. This could appeal to the solo players out there and it gives you some content for maybe 2 or 3 races when the Online racing is slow.
You couldn’t have expressed what I feel about this game any better.. it’s so sad and careless of them. It’s literally shocking in my opinion the decisions that are being made with this game and im almost over playing it. It feels like im forcing myself to play there’s almost 0 enjoyment

I been seeing a lot of empty sessions as well. Getting kinda boring tbh, the weekends is usually a bit better but still underwhelming. Hope the game can make some sort of a comeback.
I recommend have a look to the TC races. Usually you also have smaller Lobbys but the most ppl are committed to this class and the races are closer and mostly cleaner then GT I'm in the TC for at least once a week and it has always been fun for me. Maybe that's an option for the GT4 weeks
My biggest issue is the smaller lobbies, and I've not heard much positive feedback from other creators regarding the TC races. I have some ideas floating around in my head that I might try
I gave it (almost) up, because I can't play online with their constant random disconnects from races. And if you make a detailed ticket on their site (details about the problems, showing you don't have exotic hardware, telling them your internet is fast and stable and it's the ONLY game you have problems with) you only get an automated robot answer with links to some useless articles aka "the game is fine, it's a YOU problem" - Which tells me, they don't care at all. How convinient they hired a new soulless creature as sugarcoater/deflector for the steam forums now...
📝You’re right. Forza Motorsport is taking pressure of the comments by trying to please everyone and trying to tell us so bad the story of cars with their featured tour playlists. Because of this, after the 30 car pass cars, Forza is not focused on giving us more than 4 cars or even 2 cars that are just in reward showcases. And its good to tell us stories with those playlists and hope further add all of those tours in a event selection for us to play whenever we want and would be +100 events to select like in FM4. Also you’re right when in multiplayer, I love how they divided the specs in Forza GT2, GT3 and GT4, but in GT4’s there are only 3 cars. Where are the rest? If Turn 10 possesses IMSA and WeatherTech licenses, why there is no BMW M4 GT4 or GT3? The 2017 and the 2022 models. Also the Porsche Cayman GT4 in GT4 race spec and Mustang, Camaro, Aston Vantage and many other GT4 models, GT3 and GT2 models that we’ve seen on IMSA TV and WEC. If I’d be a game designer, I a former Gran Turismo 1 & 2 and Forza fan would add minimum 8 cars per update and DLC car packs to boost players motivation to play. These would motivate to design liveries too, these would motivate the creation of community events. You know what? Where is Forza P3? They forgot that they just added the Ligier JS P3, but in IMSA and WEC the most that I see is the Ligier JS P320 and the Duqueine and even the Ligier JS PX from Jann in the Gran Turismo Movie. Finally the sound of the cars, the parts that gets bugged like the Ferrari 458 that Turn 10 removed the spoiler and not fixed the issue, the tuning and designs saving “limit”, and the freedom of viewing and hearing in the upgrade performance that FH5 has, the multiplayer tuning upgrade accessibility, etc. If I were recruited as a game designer, I would hear first what people want, but focusing on 8 car additions if there is no track addition, and if there is a track addition, I would submit 4 cars and/or DLC cars with their former driver suits, also without forgetting their proper unique sounds recorded form their respective motors, track addition, first the FM7 tracks, then submitting new tracks featured in IMSA or WEC and drag race layouts. Also there are existing missing layouts in current forza tracks like the Bugatti Circuit of Le Mans, Suzuka West Circuit, etc. There is a lot of work to be done and if a company announces a game, it needs to be launched with their past tracks completed and then the updates.
Hoping asetto corsa evo replaces acc for me I hop around lobbies in the S class and highest A,B,C,D,E Average 15-21 drivers By end of race 10-15 drivers I really enjoy the rotation for this game IE: all the maps are cycled in. As opposed to being stuck in a lobby of 23 drivers on monza for a few hours until a different lobby clears some space 😂 If this Motorsport is what they said it’s going to be. Then it’ll probably going to get the destiny treatment (bungie) Or cyberpunk (would be ideal) Maybe nerf yourself ? Battling 4-5 drivers every single lap to not be last is where I’m having the most fun in this game They need to fix the match making tho 😅
Forza seems to be following the fate of Halo, they'll do something to the up coming Horizon 6!!! Start playing one of these Rennsport, RaceRoom, Le Mans Ultimate, JDM Drift Master.
Forza Motorsport ≠ Forza Horizon,managed by different dev teams,if anything, Playground Games (those in charge of Forza Horizon) have to do double work to keep the Forza name afloat,since Turn 10 is just dead weight (even in the Forza Monthly,Horizon is carrying the mess of Motorsport).
Microsoft and Turn10 are collectively driving away its core players. There is no sense of urgency or enthusiasm when it comes to content and game fixes. They're kind of just letting it run itself it seems
To me a game has/needs 3 pillars of success. Quality, content(quantity), and stability. Unfortunately forza launched with none of the three and has not built upon any of these pillars needed for a game. It’s a far cry from any Forza game imo with its soulless corporate approach. It’s like comparing a chihuahua to a pack of wolves.
True on this,the only thing Forza had since the pre-release was a variety of cars and race combinations that aren't that common (in most racing games),but everything around it didn't work as needed.
I've had other creators that primarily play the touring car series tell me that it's just as dead and pointed out that it hasn't received anything new in about 7 months, which is crazy
@@thincrustpizza I've been waiting for it to get better for almost a year, and while they've made some improvements, they still haven't addressed major issues that have plagued the game since launch. When it works and there are people to race against, it's great. But that isn't always the case and the player base is dwindling
Totally agree, look at the numbers, even on steam, the average player count is 500, horrible for this game. If turn 10 doesn't turn this around, the game will die. GT4 is bad, only 2 cars to choose from unless you are paying for extra cars and then you only get 1 more. Compare it to Assetto Corsa which is over 10 years old and has over 11000 people playing it each day.

I feel the same about pretty much all games these days. Half baked, live service, drip fed content. Only got an Xbox so stuck with Forza till they do fix it. Think im luckily to be having a break during the worst time. Between your lobbies and Grimms lobbies i can easily say its been the most competetive fun ive had in a long time on racing games. You have to play what ever brings the most fun for you in the meantime brother, nothing worse than getting burnt out on one game. Hopefully Turn 10 get their act together. ✌️
Yeah, the gaming industry sucks right now. It's really sad that companies believe this model is the best way to go. People are getting sick of it and are starting to boycott things like pre-orders and whatnot. I think this is an excellent first step to giving the middle finger to these companies and saying, "Prove it" when they claim their game is good.
I used to play on my Xbox series x, and then I got a pc and got rid of the Xbox…. Why do the graphics look so bad on pc compared to the series x. I just spent the past 2 hours messing with it and still not satisfied and wish I didn’t re purchase the game at this point

Turn 10 has been killing Forza Motorsport since FM5. FM4 was the last good Forza game that was well made and well supported with decent physics. The Dan G came along and thought it was all about pwetty gwaphics. They have no idea what makes a good racing game. Remember when they thought petite really want to drive cars white dresses as a cowboy or a clown or whatever? Insane.

The main issue with this game is that the developers are far more concerned about adding things rather than fixing things🤷♂️ you can't keep adding things to an already unstable game without fixing the foundation first. It will only get worse the more they add until the game collapses and nobody wants to play. Modern Forza is honestly an insult to anybody who loves the franchise and enjoys racing games in general. The game screams wasted potential everywhere its actually painful, almost feels like they're doing this on purpose as a joke🤦♂️ I feel like players aren't even annoyed at Turn10 anymore but rather confused as if to wonder why they think it's acceptable to make a game like this?🤷♂️ lies, false advertising, recycled assests, glitches galore, etc. It will only be a matter of time when the game dies before Turn10 add anything new, players will have moved on with Forza and their lives to the point where nobody will trust them to make a good game ever again! Just annoys me because the only racing game i wanna play on the Xbox and it's Forza Motorsport 🤷♂️

Unfortunately this game was not made well and I dont think there will ever be a time where it will work properly for everyone. With every update there's another handful of bugs. They don't seem to do hot fixes anymore either so It kind of is what it is at this point.
Absolutely, I’m an open class tuner, player of Forza since the 1st Forza. My problem that made me uninstall the game is I ran out of tuning slots after 1 month!! It says you have to delete some tunes but I can’t. There’s 100 x more cars and tracks than tune saves!! Absolutely ridiculous.
As much as I hate to say it, this game needs a 2.0 Update like what Cyberpunk 2077 got. Forget adding Content, fix the issues, and make the game playable. Until then I would recommend GT7, iRacing, Low Fuel Motorsports on Assetto Corsa or even GRID Legends. The last 2 I'd be willing to join as well.
I agree, definitely needs a big update that actually addresses all the issues. I have some ACC content in my livestream VODs, so that would be one of the easier transitions since I already have everything ready to go
The thing is,the "No man's sky effect" and "Cyberpunk 2077 effect" shouldn't be a thing in the first place, a game being a bit buggy but fully functional and with enough content to start is one thing,but Forza Motorsport 2023 wasn't there on release, neither with the updates (with functional updates being sporadic), and they pretty much had no direct competition at that level on the market (maybe GRID Legends,but Codemasters ruined it's luck releasing it so close to GT7), adding the long hiatus between FM7 and Motorsport 2023,Turn 10 wasted all their luck in less than a year of release.
In my opinion, that won't happen.
In contrast to Cyberpunk - which had a good basic structure - Forza is long dead. There is hardly a player base left and with a recycled track every 2 months and 3 or 4 recycled and old cars, they don't lure anyone back. I notice it in myself: I hardly start the game anymore. When the update came out, I drove a few laps again, but I just don't feel like it anymore. What the game might need is a massive update. 4 or 5 new tracks, 20 current cars and finally an overhaul of the broken penalty system. But let's not kid ourselves: Without Microsoft in the background, T10 would probably already be bankrupt. I somehow doubt that MS wants to invest any more.
I was watching a comparison video two days ago on sim racers & assetto corso looked like they had put the most effort into it out of all of them. The guy was making fun of Forza. It’s basically the worst sim racer out there rn.

Exact same thing happened to Halo Infinite. They didn't have enough game modes at launch. People left. They brought back like 50 game modes (including community customs) and subsequently, the small remaining player base was spread so thin that you can't even matchmake.

The Halo Infinite scenario was closer to The Flash movie than anything: Delays,several changes in Management (several), no clear definition of where the project was going and then an underwhelming release,with Infinite having the perfect window for a FPS release with Battlefield 2042 and Call of Duty Vanguard having mostly negative reception from the public,but just like Turn 10,343 Industries messed up by not doing anything of value in the months after release.
That’s another big issue I think they messed up at launch, is the diversity of the series. It’s not the most popular racing game to begin with and then you go ahead and put series in rotation. Not everybody wants to run GT4 or formula mazda, or if it’s R and A class in the hoppers then they just pushed all the D C B and S class guys away. I have multiple friends that have hung up Forza cause of that. They only race the lower classes and don’t want to wait on rotation so they just quit playing.
One of the reasons I stopped playing for a while. Been playing a lot of it recently but at some point I’ll just get bored of it😢

I keep having this scenario where two cars are in front of me side by side, pushing each other, one gets mad, pits the other & I tbone them & it give me a 4.5 second penalty but neither of them get a penalty. The penalty system is back asswards.
Forza is in a mess. Turn 10 don't seem to have a clue how to fix it, or maybe they just don't care. The game has no soul or character. Sad to see.
Hope you stay around Erraric because I love your private races and uploads, but I understand your frustration. The lack of tracks, cars, game modes and poor lobby sizes. The bugs and glitches are unexceptable, and I'm amazed turn10 didn't delay this and thought the game was in a playable state, the dying playerbase shows the current situation of the game. If you quit forza (which would be a shame) I wouldn't mind gt7 content but what ever you do I wish you luck ❤

I’m feeling that man, my views have dried up recently (but that could be that my videos are bad, to be fair) which to me shows a lack of interest in the game right now. Be me, a touring car fan, that has not had anything since the MG/Peugeot update like 7 months ago? Those lobbies have been stale for a while, I have not had the same issues with lobby size, been quite lucky and most if not all have had 10/12+ people in them. I’m looking at adding some challenge videos in again but who knows what interest there is in them content wise. I don’t want to have to switch games but it’s hard finding a reason to stay right now!
On top of all that, why are they locking cars behind career mode races? It's just dumb.
I actually enjoyed the hour long race felt like I was doing something. But I can see were you’re coming from with what they should do on the get racing. I don’t like haveing a limited number of cars to choose from. When GT spec series first started I liked how everyone was in a different car. Showed variety.
I would love to do the hour long race, but I would also love it being closer to a full lobby with a nice mix of classes and I just haven't been able to find a race like that
Hey Erratic, I totally get your frustration. I just came back to Forza myself and while there were some good improvements, I'm still baffled by some of the decisions by Turn10. Seeing this weeks lobbies really had my scratching my head, as I was also immediately thinking that they were spreading the player base way to thin. My experience is similar to yours and while at the moment I'm still giving it a chance, I'm unsure if I can keep that up.
My recommendation to you: Try some other games and don't force yourself to only play FM. I've realized more and more that doing TH-cam without having fun can lead to deep frustration. So find something you really enjoy and do that. Viewers will see and feel that you have fun and will enjoy other games as well.

They are purposely killing the game. The solutions to fix the game can be found in the forums coming from the community still around that actually care about the game.
It is also clear that the current devs don’t understand the engine coding that the game is operating on, which is why it takes so long to fix the bugs in the game.
This current game was never built from the ground up it was copy pasted and layered onto, problem is the ones that were there for the base level coding are no longer around.
The main reason for this is that they have included in the game now actually 12 series (10 online) at the same time. Аnd in each series there are 3-4 races available. Everyone is sitting in different lobbies.
I agree with you 100%, I took about 2 months off roughly because I needed a break from this game. I haven’t raced online in a while but this sounds bad with what they’ve done online. I think private lobbies are the way to go. They should just have 2 multi-classes for one endurance race.
While I’m glad we have Road Atlanta back, it feels like they’re just recycling content from forza 7 as a way of improvising for updates. They should look at their first 4 motorsports games and see what made them great. A great update would be something like having Sedona making its return and having a multi class lobby with GT3 cars with the prototypes. Or to bring back some of the sidewinder tracks and put them in lobbies for spec races. Or bring a completely new track to the game, preferably a fantasy city track with a few different layouts and verifications. If anything they should be drawing inspiration from PGR. When I played GT7, I sometimes felt bored of racing on some of the current tracks on there as well. It’s not like the old days. For example Gran valley is a great track but it’s a former shadow of its self compared to the versions from GT1 - GT6. Forza Motorsport feels like it follows a similar trend.
It’s difficult but don’t give up on what your doing with your content. The game can indeed be frustrating at times but I think the game needs another year at least before it starts getting better. Plus with games like test drive unlimited finally coming back, it might get turn10 to wake up a bit when more of their customers divert their interests towards other racing games. Maybe take a small break and then try again as that’s what trying to do now.
I will admit , it's hard to find a lobby with more than 10 people nowadays.
I'm having the same issue. We thought we didn't have enough race option l, but now that they added more it shows how few people are playing the game.
Sorry about how you are feeling towards Forza. I myself have been on a little bit of a Hiatus (but for different reasons). But look at the bright side! They are adding features requested such as, radar, rear-view mirror in 3rd person, tire wear in private lobbies, multi class racing, etc. It's getting there. But I do agree that they need to focus on the core issues of game stability and penalties, etc.... All of the niche features do not mean much if you can't play the game in the first place.
On another positive note, look at how much your channel has grown. Over 3k subscribers, your lobbies are always full, and so on. Forza will get better, but it may be quite some time before that happens. Hope you can stick it out until then :)

As someone who has been a huge Forza fan since beta, decades ago, it is absolutely unforgivable what turn 10 has done.
The fact there isn't unlimited automatic replay saves with no space limiting nonsense like for tubes and everything, is absolutely unforgivable and the excuses shameful.
The one fantastic thing that's come of this pathetic debacle is that I got a PS5 just for Gran Turismo 7. And holy macrel, it's amazing. Forza had lowered the experience and expectation so badly like an abusive relationship that it's nirvana. I ended up getting a DD+ wheel and the FFB is just the absolute best, next level. Then the Michelin physics/tire model enhancement has just been mind blowing incredible.
And then with PS VR2 which I just got. OMFG.
Stop suffering, go into the promised land, and live happily and with great joyousness. The online racing is amazing. Now also complain to polyphony Digital that they need to have automatic unlimited replay saves both locally and to the cloud. This is the only thing they need to correct.
Yea honestly they messed up for me when I found out they separated the gt series into gt2/3/4 and they don’t even have a wide selection of cars to pick from and when both classes aren’t available i don’t want to play the game I just turn it off honestly tbh bro I been looking into switching to gt7 or hell maybe even asseto corsa competizione they car selection is a lot more to pick from and I like the vr support for gt7 it seems cool to me to idk but rn forza is in a sad sad place rn

i only ever find full lobby’s in the open class racing, that’s if you can get in the race, once you’re in there’s glaring meta and extremely dirty drivers compared to the gt spec series, still fun but i end up rage closing the game due to rammers
Same here mate, I've ditched the game because of it after several months of ownership. Single player works okay yet multiplayer is often a horrible experience of system crashes, dropped connections & never ending loading screens. The only good thing I've to say about the game is that it looks modern
they made a "mistake" like 2 updates ago to where you can now choose to join 2 tracks simultaneously in every single hopper in-game... where as previously you were only able to join 1 track per hopper and if you missed it you would have to wait like 2-8 minutes. So the lobby's were basically cut in half lol. What they need to do is make it to where everyone is forced to join into 1 track/lobby, and if you miss it then you have to wait the full race length to join the next one. It sounds harsh but it is what needs to be done... The only alternative to this is to cut the the amount of joinable hoppers in half if not more... Yes stability and bug fixes will bring some people back but it will not magically fill all the lobbies up.
i’ve been thinking about this for a bit. i still play the game and it just gets worse and worse. the new content like the tracks and cars are nice. but when u add things but don’t fix things it doesn’t work. as you mentioned. i believe it needs a 2.0 update as a few others said that way people will come back. when it comes to your content. i’ll watch whatever you post as long as it’s racing personally.
As a Racing Game, Forza Motorsport 2023 has marked the end for Forza Motorsport (at least in the short term), with Forza Horizon proving to be a more solid (but more arcade) experience even with all it's highs and lows (Horizon 5 is not even close to perfect,but Playground Games had given it More love than Turn 10 to Forza Motorsport), I'm not even comparing it with other franchises, I'm comparing it with its main Spin-off, that from time to time,gives the spotlight to player made tracks (from real to fictional,and even tracks from another franchises,like Gran Turismo).
I played since the early pre-release days (Game Pass+ Ultimate Pack),i had my hopes that the game could be a decent experience and alternative for more raw simulators,and for a time,it was,but then the bugs started to intensify in the release version, crashes with new updates (Daytona,for example), penalty, matchmaking and more gimmicks that were a joke,with the last nail in the coffin being a bug that couldn't let me play because i had too many liveries in my cars, something i have in Horizon 4 or 5,but apparently,is a game breaking bug in Turn 10's hands, that was all, with that i simply gave up.
If i need to name a Forza, there is only Horizon,and then all the Forza titles until 7, there is nothing else.
I think your complaints are valid to a point when it comes to spreading things to thin. Ive seen this sort of opinion a lot recently and it comes from people who mainly race gt hoppers. Not everyone wants to race gt cars everyday, i dont see it as a bad thing that theyre giving those people more options.
I think there are numerous reasons why people stopped playing this game, but one of them was definitely not being able to race how and what they wanted.
There should have been more options at launch and people would have naturally migrated to where they wanted to be. Turn 10 could have then trimmed the fat and focused on what was popular.
As far as lobby size, imo id rather have 10 competitive players than 24 shoemakers. People complained that lobby size was prioritized over skill/safety, so they changed it and now people are complaining the lobbies are too small.
I just want to add im not happy how this game turned out and i very rarely defend it, but i think adding options is what this game needs more than anything. I dont drift or drag race but those disciplines should have also been in this game as it cost them thousands of players.
I’ve had the tune glitch for over a month. I reported it. They had no answer for it. It’s really pushed me towards ACC the last couple weeks. I’m enjoying ACC but it’s a very different game. It’s not the easiest to switch back and forth between ACC and Forza. But I would definitely watch some ACC videos.
I stopped until gt2 gt3 comes back. Don’t like the new events.

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over while expecting different results.
T10, while I'm sure they understand how broken their product is, won't truly care unless they lose their entire player base. It's truly unfortunate that everyone walking away will be what either makes or breaks the game in the long run, but it's what has to be done. If you have a PS5, give GT7 a try... or if you're staying on PC, ACC or AMS2 are good titles as well if you want a more true to sim experience.
I have some ACC content in my live stream VODs. I might try doing some rivals challenges or something in Forza too.
I have a PS5, but I'll have to learn how to hook it up for recording and livestreaming and whatnot. I'll figure something out though.

If you decided to split off to other games I wouldn't blame you, at least until they fix the issues you listed. I'm a Gran Turismo player, I gave this game a fair shot a couple months ago and just left disappointed after not even a week of playing it, especially the online portion. I had my close races and was very impressed with the selection of cars but something just felt like it was off. Maybe it's just the way GT handles the BoP and the rating system but I find myself having a more enjoyable time on GT7 in Sport Mode compared to FMS. GT7 offers consistent close racing in higher split lobbies with minimal effort needed to get everything up and running, no downloading setups or purchasing cars
I only watch one other person that regularly plays Forza and in every single one of his videos there's at least 3 disconnects. I hate to say this because it's a whole new console but the times I play gt7 and when I watch online, I rarely see these issues crop up. Now GT7 is far from perfect, and in a lot of ways a step down. But once you get past the rammers, that can be fixed with private lobbies, it's a solid game with a good variety of cars.
I'm going to give them credit where it is due : the game is way more stable since update 11. I no longer have connexion problem at launch, I no longer wait 5 minuts for shadders to optimize themselves and the game no longer get stuck after a race. It ain't perfect but at least, they are doing something.
The thing is: too little,too late,they already lost a good amount of their playerbase, Motorsport 2023 is now living under the shadow of Forza Horizon 5 and nothing seems to take it out of there in a short time. (And even in the Forza Monthly, Motorsport is just a "Plus" in the amount of Horizon 5 content)

Totally agree, buddy! I have stepped back from playing massively since they split up the GT class into multiple classes on a weekly rotation. I want to use certain cars, but can't because I need to wait a week to be able to enjoy it again. That, while also constantly rebooting the game because it crashes whenever you exit a race - I've had this for 3 months now, no mention of it in any patch notes. The penalty system seems to get better and then go all the way back to square one, awful drivers are still an issue.
I'm just waiting for Assetto Corsa Evo, meanwhile, will jump on to play the single player races to get the new cars in the hopes that one day I'll get around to experiencing and enjoying them on the off chance that the game ever improves, and T10 get their s*** together.
Ultimately, it was your personality and engagement that got my subscription and membership purchase on YT. I don't really care what game you're playing, I enjoy your content because of YOU - Not Forza. So whatever makes you happy, and results in content, is what I'm happy to watch.

500 cars / 100 tuning slots. Seriously they are dumb at turn 10. Never had this issue before. Can’t play coz I can’t save tunes. If there’s 30 tracks and 500 cars you need at least 15000 tuning slots NOT 100 if it’s even 100. No TH-camrs ever cover this major issue for tuners.
I've definitely mentioned it before. A workaround is to go to the "Save & Share" menu and delete tunes from within that menu (which is the only one that works as far as I know). Once you've cleared some space up through that menu, you should be able to download tunes again. Dumb, I know, but at least it works for now.
I haven't played the new hoppers yet so I don't have much input, GG tho got the podium lol 😅
In career mode the subtitles are stuck in game even when you are racing. Lol
Cannot agree more with all the points you made. It's quite nice that they finally added some features we asked for, but sad af they just don't optimize all the bugs we all encounter.
they already f'ed up at launch and with the first two updates so much that the playerbase already plumeted, and made matchmaking a joke, because they need to somehow fill up lobbies.
I use to say to newcomers on my streams that this game is mostly fun when playing with friends. You have enough of a community to fill up a private lobby, so if you want to keep on playing, do like I do, and organise complete championships with your community. For example, I do championships of 5 races in a given division of cars, or class of cars, etc. We set rules (this or this meta car not allowed, IP restrictions, types of tires, x stops, tracks in reverse, whatever...) and we have fun running these championships together. This gives variety in the race themes and types, and motivation for the community to strive to greatness with you, and ... something fun to watch for your viewers. Just a suggestion ;)

I really wanna love this game, but the past few days I've run into the same issues. This is the first game that I've got a steering wheel for in a long time and have been having fun. I hope they fix these issues and make it continuously fun.
Know what you mean. Since they destroyed the gt class been finding my Forza happiness in everything but gt, tc and formula Mazda. Maybe start making videos about other events. I’d watch that, there’s life beyond gt class 😊

The state of this game is in shambles. 0 optimization, riddled with bugs, matchmaking, penalty system is a joke, crashes at any random moment disconnects from races with a perfectly good internet connection, fps drops when joining lobbies. Weird car balancing, limited car variety in the gt spec to name a “few”. I’m sure I’m missing a bunch more.
I could do a couple months with no new content if it meant they fixed the bugs, and actually make a finished game, which it’s had a year long worth of chances, and still nothing to write home about.

@@pricelesspppthat's the only major solution for a solid Online Experience without clubs or private championships (either that or GT7,but since GT7 is Playstation exclusive..), LFM has done the job for ACC, but Apparently didn't have the same effect in the normal Asseto Corsa,and the rest of the racing games and Sims don't have enough player base for that matter.
The penalty system is self inflicted insanity. T10 is a toxic abusive relationship at this point.
@@DerpSherman Gran Turismo 7 is the best. Just wow. The last few months going to try it out after Forza ruined everything, was the best thing that has ever happened. No subscriptions, fantastic online racing full of so many to race with ( still needs banning for rammers ) and the entire experience is prima polished lux . The FFB with DD+ is unmatched, the PS VR2 is mind blowing. It redefines the bar as it's a 9.5/10 and shows Forza is a 3.
If Polyphony Digital has a pro. Mode monthly subscription for accountability and racing, it would be untouchable.
The new v1.49 Michelin physics/tire model is just sublime.
@@herlegz6969 The thing is: you need to buy either a PS4 or PS5 for it,for those in PC, buying an entire console for just one game,is simply not worth it,is the only thing Forza Motorsport has nowadays,is available in PC and within a market where there is no real competition. (Since neither Forza or GT are fully built sims,they are pretty much sitting in the middle between GRID and Forza Horizon even more arcade approach and the more Sim Focused games,like AMS2,IRacing or ACC)

Most of the problems all sync back to Game Pass. MS has made it clear their future in gaming is Game Pass and including AAA games as a day one release to entice people to your service will only ever lead to sub standard releases.
Game Pass is great for those that like to try out loads of different, very bad for those that really want to dedicate time a single game.
Unfortunately this then has a knock on effect for everyone who plays Xbox 1st party titles as they simply do not receive the support that a third party title would.

GT4 is underbaked for sure. , and was never going to be as popular as the other 2 classes even if it wasn't. But the playerbase split goes farther than 10 hoppers. Endurance has 4 race overlap. You do one race and miss 3 with 1 minute left to join the next. Matchmaking is building multiple small lobbies because you can lobby hop and end up in a different lobby each time during peak hours. So it's not matching properly and you end up with a lot of small lobbies of random players.

Another commenter mentioned that this game needs a massive update like Cyberpunk 2077 got and I REALLY agree with that. I'm just really bummed out about the current state of the game right now and wish they would figure stuff out.
@@Kaylos29 There should a more efficient matchmaking,if there is too many small lobbies,just mix them when there is one or two minutes before race, instead of leaving them all half full or with just two or three people, I'm sure people would be happier by getting another loading screen that at least gives them a full grid in a massive track (Le Mans with a handful of people feels soulless), rather than these micro lobbies with no one to race with.

I was on last night too, also about 3am, & there was 6 people in the multi class races.
Idk why they make it 4 classes in the one race. 3 would have been enough.
Speaking of bugs, I enjoy using the Xpeng in A class bc the acceleration is bonkers. But the developers have put a ‘-‘ through the pit stops in the tire/fuel tab, so idk what tires to use and how many pits I need to make. I can adjust the “fuel” though! (which is EV battery power). Why would I ever want to adjust the battery power? It doesn’t lighten the car lol
And while we’re talking about it bugs.. I’m getting SO tired of racing for 20 minutes and getting kicked from the race. It’s happened about 30 or 40 times & I’m getting tired of it. It’s insane. The worst is when it kicks you 15 seconds before the race starts because you wasted 15 minutes in practice/qualifying and then can’t even reload the game and hop back in that race before it starts.

Small things like…
No skill or safety rating displayed to other players and no tyre information displayed during a race just shows me they don’t ’get it’ and it can’t be taken seriously as a racing game.
I tried GT4 and multi class. It’s bad. I’m not playing for a while.
The game will just make auto career saves for no reason! I will check my tune and there will be three more that I didn't make! I daily have to go in and manually delete these things! The penalty system still punishes the person who got hit half the time!!!

You know what's weird. I was on an i7-8700k and always had connection issues. I upgraded to a Ryzen 5800x3D and haven't had any connection issues. It wouldn't connect with the i7-8700k and would just stay on the screen trying to connect to the service. Kind of weird once I upgraded a CPU the connection problems went away. And yes, I think they're trading out classes because of server issues. I wish they didn't take away the GT3 because I'm not interested in the other classes.

Most people are doing the Endurance Multiclass races this week.
i raced a few and always had a full lobby. What is important here is that in practice you only see the playercount of your group so there are more people than the number on the top left.
Overall the endurance races are a lot of fun but I must say I don't like that there is no GT3 class to race at the moment.
I haven't been able to get more than 14 people in an endurance race and 12 people were in group 1 while myself and another guy were in group 3. What's the fun in that?

I personally think they should focus on and make sure the game doesn't shut down all the time. When you contact support, they say you have to send a spec with update info, graphics card info, etc. My ass. They also make you lose the desire to use their games. Instead of THEY making their game better. I have amd spec rx6800xt ryzen 9 5900x. Had enough at some point and delete everything on my computer Format c: and d: drive. Only to find out it better not work. The game is super cool WHEN it's running. It just doesn't do that very often. Some updates are good, while others make it impossible to play their games.
They aren’t gonna fix the game they will continue with bare minimum updates every month adding crap that’s been in every previous Motorsport till the game has been out for 1.5-2 years then the devs will abandon the game so fast to move on to their next project

well the first problem you came across is "3 in the morning",people are not this obsessed to grind tracks to this hour,in ussual hours it was fine every time i was playing ,and ussualy i was playing open class series online,other thing is that racing game itself is very niche genre in general,even tho in concept its one of the most competitive things in the world ,theres way more cassuals than competitive people,most people want to free roam,some wants to drift around,some wants to do drift racing ,and probably only very few people wants to actually race competitively ,and this is what forza doesnt offer,you cant drag together comfortably,you cant do drifting,litteraly only thing you can do in this game is competitive racing ,and plot twist,its not that great,in open class series everyone goes for meta track cars or meta cars in general,so this mean that 95% of all car list is absolutely irelevant,in gt series its idk,for me as a newbie those cars ar too lose,either i go with more stability control and the race is absolutely not competitive for me ,or i try go assist'less and i spinout and lose race,also performance issues with the game is just ridiculous at this point,constant freezes ,crashes,infinite loading screens,its just a party killer honestly ,there was so many times i finished the LONG practise session,all hyped up to start racing ,and i get infinite loading screen after practise,knowing full well i wont be able to race in the race was upcoming , tbh , in general FM is a good game ,it has good physics ,i love that im able to play in chase camera , car sounds isnt horrible ,but everything else is SOOOO bad ,its actually sad,maybe if they give up on xbox gamepass type of bussiness model and only " buy to play" model,they would try harder ,but now its just a mess,check steamcharts,i know its not the main auditory for the game ,but its just miserable numbers ,its just a rant from my perspective ,im not even good at the game,i want to play it,but i already unsubscribed from game pass because the optimization is so ass,maybe next motorsports will do better,hell,maybe granturismo will be playble on pc one day,and i cant wait for that day to come

this tends to be the beginning of the end for most titles... unless there is a MOD released that breathes new life into the platform or a DLC that adds something everyone has been waiting for. even then if it isnt released efficiently it can be even worse.
Id hate to see the game die, but even just as a viewer Ive been noticing a severe lacking in variety.
my personal opinion is that this game falls short of an actual sim, but is too difficult for an arcade, couple that with the intentional rammers and poor penalty system and....

Im liking it tbh been getting some close racing and some track manners. Some of the known issues Ive had but its been mostly ok. I had 1000s of hrs on 1,2,3,4 but this is my first fm since and first on pc and I like the physics on this one. They added my absolute favourite track as well road atlanta.

Also, you should try acc, I'd play way more acc if I didnt work full time and have kids its a little more serious than fm but works flawlessly and the racing is amazing.
@@paddyodoors2757 I have some ACC content on my VODs and I do private lobbies in Forza basically every live stream. It certainly helps, but even in private lobbies you get FPS issues, people disconnecting constantly, infinite loading screens, etc.
I want the game to be good, which is why I've waited this long to say something. The current state of the game should've been how it launched though, with improvements from there.
I honestly think the main issues in this game are poor matchmaking (creating lobbies with friends, recent players, etc is annoying and unstable), an awful skill rating system, an awful penalty system, and a lack of strategy variety. We have short, medium, and long races with occasional wet conditions, three dry tire options and one wet tire option (race tires specifically, who actually gives a shit about the others?). Look at GT7 with it's variable weather system, different pit stop rules/strats, and 12 different tire options just to name a few things.
I always tell my friends that this game reminds me of Halo Infinite. Good core gameplay but literally everything else is awful. Menus are bad, matchmaking is bad, skill ratings are bad, and there is nothing to work towards whatsoever. Lock some liveries, paint schemes, decals, or racing suits behind skill progression walls. Also, why can't we customize race suits/helmets like cars??
On top of all of this, where are the tournaments? Why can't we have multi race tournaments across different tracks with a points system? FFS, Mario Kart does this.
I agree with a lot of the points in this video but I don't think adding cars or even tracks should be a top priority for T10 right now. Make the game interesting and fun with real progression, a real ranked/SR system that means something, and more strategy options.
NOTE: These opinions are coming from someone who mainly plays the GT2, GT3, Formula Mazda, and Touring hoppers.
I think the bugs/stability issues should be their main focus for now. Once everything is operating smoothly, then yes, focus on matchmaking, and the other myriad of issues with safety rating, the penalty system, etc.
That said, they should also assign 1-2 people to work on new cars (like actually new cars that race currently), and then release them when they're ready and everything is in order.
Also, adding "new" tracks shouldn't be hard since they're literally recycling old tracks anyway. Nurburgring GP circuit with the weird hump at the apex of turn 4 that doesn't exist in real life and has been in Forza forever is a perfect example. If the track had actually been rescanned and updated, it wouldn't be there. Adding all of their fictional tracks also shouldn't be an issue, and yet they're nowhere to be found.
It's just annoying. I'll figure out what to do though.
And that's the reason why I rarely sell them play my Forza Motorsports because of certain things that they'll fix and then their things they're still having problems with I wish they would make up their mind what's more important fix the issues that need to be addressed and then bring cars in that should be in the game😮
Although I do love the physics of this game over previous Forza games, it's so bare bones. My last hope is that in October, when the game hits it's 1 year anniversary, the team re-release this as a FM 2.0, with improvements to everything, and even completely overhauling other things. No way a full year passes by and all they do is add another old track and some cars. 1 year anniversary should be a re-release.
I'm holding onto a tiny glimmer of hope, but I'm not going to hold my breath.
I am not sure if this would be something to try, but I would not mind if you raced the AI in solo play mode. The reason I say this is just a few videos to see if there has been improvements to the AI driving. This could appeal to the solo players out there and it gives you some content for maybe 2 or 3 races when the Online racing is slow.

I been seeing a lot of empty sessions as well. Getting kinda boring tbh, the weekends is usually a bit better but still underwhelming. Hope the game can make some sort of a comeback.

There are definitely a substantial number of way better drivers than me lol
I recommend have a look to the TC races. Usually you also have smaller Lobbys but the most ppl are committed to this class and the races are closer and mostly cleaner then GT
I'm in the TC for at least once a week and it has always been fun for me.
Maybe that's an option for the GT4 weeks
My biggest issue is the smaller lobbies, and I've not heard much positive feedback from other creators regarding the TC races. I have some ideas floating around in my head that I might try

I gave it (almost) up, because I can't play online with their constant random disconnects from races.
And if you make a detailed ticket on their site (details about the problems, showing you don't have exotic hardware, telling them your internet is fast and stable and it's the ONLY game you have problems with) you only get an automated robot answer with links to some useless articles aka "the game is fine, it's a YOU problem" - Which tells me, they don't care at all.
How convinient they hired a new soulless creature as sugarcoater/deflector for the steam forums now...
📝You’re right. Forza Motorsport is taking pressure of the comments by trying to please everyone and trying to tell us so bad the story of cars with their featured tour playlists. Because of this, after the 30 car pass cars, Forza is not focused on giving us more than 4 cars or even 2 cars that are just in reward showcases. And its good to tell us stories with those playlists and hope further add all of those tours in a event selection for us to play whenever we want and would be +100 events to select like in FM4.

how they divided the specs in Forza GT2, GT3 and GT4, but in GT4’s there are only 3 cars. Where are the rest? If Turn 10 possesses IMSA and WeatherTech licenses, why there is no BMW M4 GT4 or GT3? The 2017 and the 2022 models. Also the Porsche Cayman GT4 in GT4 race spec and Mustang, Camaro, Aston Vantage and many other GT4 models, GT3 and GT2 models that we’ve seen on IMSA TV and WEC. If I’d be a game designer, I a former Gran Turismo 1 & 2 and Forza fan would add minimum 8 cars per update and DLC car packs to boost players motivation to play. These would motivate to design liveries too, these would motivate the creation of community events. You know what? Where is Forza P3? They forgot that they just added the Ligier JS P3, but in IMSA and WEC the most that I see is the Ligier JS P320 and the Duqueine and even the Ligier JS PX from Jann in the Gran Turismo Movie. Finally the sound of the cars, the parts that gets bugged like the Ferrari 458 that Turn 10 removed the spoiler and not fixed the issue, the tuning and designs saving “limit”, and the freedom of viewing and hearing in the upgrade performance that FH5 has, the multiplayer tuning upgrade accessibility, etc.
If I were recruited as a game designer, I would hear first what people want, but focusing on 8 car additions if there is no track addition, and if there is a track addition, I would submit 4 cars and/or DLC cars with their former driver suits, also without forgetting their proper unique sounds recorded form their respective motors, track addition, first the FM7 tracks, then submitting new tracks featured in IMSA or WEC and drag race layouts. Also there are existing missing layouts in current forza tracks like the Bugatti Circuit of Le Mans, Suzuka West Circuit, etc. There is a lot of work to be done and if a company announces a game, it needs to be launched with their past tracks completed and then the updates.
GT7 bro! It's not perfect, but it's a HELL of a lot better than Forza.
I haven't been watching much, but I'm still supporting. It's crazy, I just got a recommended video on how Forza Motorsport is a disaster.

I really enjoy the rotation for this game
IE: all the maps are cycled in.
As opposed to being stuck in a lobby of 23 drivers on monza for a few hours until a different lobby clears some space 😂

Battling 4-5 drivers every single lap to not be last is where I’m having the most fun in this game

Forza Motorsport ≠ Forza Horizon,managed by different dev teams,if anything, Playground Games (those in charge of Forza Horizon) have to do double work to keep the Forza name afloat,since Turn 10 is just dead weight (even in the Forza Monthly,Horizon is carrying the mess of Motorsport).
Microsoft and Turn10 are collectively driving away its core players. There is no sense of urgency or enthusiasm when it comes to content and game fixes. They're kind of just letting it run itself it seems

Ill be playing the new tdu game but you got elden ring which i assume you enjoy acc there are lots of options its just what you want to play
To me a game has/needs 3 pillars of success. Quality, content(quantity), and stability. Unfortunately forza launched with none of the three and has not built upon any of these pillars needed for a game. It’s a far cry from any Forza game imo with its soulless corporate approach. It’s like comparing a chihuahua to a pack of wolves.
True on this,the only thing Forza had since the pre-release was a variety of cars and race combinations that aren't that common (in most racing games),but everything around it didn't work as needed.
I wouldn't mind seeing you in touring cars or one of the other categories ?
I've had other creators that primarily play the touring car series tell me that it's just as dead and pointed out that it hasn't received anything new in about 7 months, which is crazy
im new to forza and have really enjoyed it, despite the problems. i guess i just assumed that it would get better.
@@thincrustpizza I've been waiting for it to get better for almost a year, and while they've made some improvements, they still haven't addressed major issues that have plagued the game since launch. When it works and there are people to race against, it's great. But that isn't always the case and the player base is dwindling
Totally agree, look at the numbers, even on steam, the average player count is 500, horrible for this game. If turn 10 doesn't turn this around, the game will die. GT4 is bad, only 2 cars to choose from unless you are paying for extra cars and then you only get 1 more. Compare it to Assetto Corsa which is over 10 years old and has over 11000 people playing it each day.
I'll miss u if u stop playing been watching since I started playing this game, I think we ( all your supporters) should send this video to turn 10, an tell them to listen an get it fixed before thay lose us all,

Just depends on what time you play! More players during the day! Just a problem with games with low player counts
Also it’s been like this since launch! Just an underwhelming game. But if u keep that in perspective it can still be fun. But where are the in game stats! That really needs to be added in. But it’s probably too late

I feel the same about pretty much all games these days. Half baked, live service, drip fed content.
Only got an Xbox so stuck with Forza till they do fix it. Think im luckily to be having a break during the worst time.
Between your lobbies and Grimms lobbies i can easily say its been the most competetive fun ive had in a long time on racing games.
You have to play what ever brings the most fun for you in the meantime brother, nothing worse than getting burnt out on one game. Hopefully Turn 10 get their act together. ✌️
Yeah, the gaming industry sucks right now. It's really sad that companies believe this model is the best way to go. People are getting sick of it and are starting to boycott things like pre-orders and whatnot. I think this is an excellent first step to giving the middle finger to these companies and saying, "Prove it" when they claim their game is good.
This game has been a flop since the drop. T10 must have insane job security, because I don’t see how anyone who worked on this title still has a job.
I used to play on my Xbox series x, and then I got a pc and got rid of the Xbox…. Why do the graphics look so bad on pc compared to the series x. I just spent the past 2 hours messing with it and still not satisfied and wish I didn’t re purchase the game at this point
@@korynoll4372 I haven't played on Xbox so I have no frame of reference, but I've got all my settings on Ultra since I have a 4090 and I think it looks fine 🤷🏻
Turn 10 has been killing Forza Motorsport since FM5. FM4 was the last good Forza game that was well made and well supported with decent physics. The Dan G came along and thought it was all about pwetty gwaphics.
They have no idea what makes a good racing game. Remember when they thought petite really want to drive cars white dresses as a cowboy or a clown or whatever? Insane.
