theres always the one or two boats that arent the newest or biggest in the marina, but they have the most character. That is why Martys boat is my favorite

Marty, I started out watching your kayak fishing videos but today I watched the houseboat series from beginning to end. I smiled the entire time. You are in the entertainment business. It's a true reality show.
So happy to see you finally on the water in your boat -- I'm literally cheesing. You deserve it 1000%. Congrats and thank you for sharing this adventure with us.
I've been watching sense you purchased this boat and through the years you've always had the most inspirational TH-cam channel around Marty, keep it up!
Hey Marty... so glad to get an update. My family and I tuned you in over dinner and cheered the whole time. You are the real deal. We are done with commercial cable/tv. We love watching people with heart like you, and the folks that helped shape your dreams. There is place for everyone in your episodes. Very best, Mike
I just watched this and had a smile on my face for about 20 minutes. That is probably equivalent to the past 6 months. Thanks guys. I am hoping to retire some day back in my home town of FWB FL. And liveaboard a very similar boat. Congratulations my freind.
Congratulations, Marty! I mean Captain Zoffinger! Your blood, sweat, and tears have paid off. I've been watching you since Poor Man's Kayak. You have had the same demeanor since day one. A regular guy, putting in the work needed to live his dreams. It shows what you can do when you put out good vibes and surround yourself with good people that care about you. Keep up the good work and best wishes for smooth sailing!
Congratulations Marty! I remember when you first got the boat and here you are. Lots of hardwork and passion went into this and it has paid off. Enjoy yourself!
Great Big Thanks to the men who helped Marty get his boat to where it is today. Sail away as the song says fellers. Time for great new videos Marty. Good luck in all of them my friend. GeeSee.
Marty, there's nothing quite like the feeling of being out on your boat with good friends. I am both jealous and happy that you've finally gotten to this stage! Get a log book, and start logging these trips if you ever want to pursue your captains license.
This video brought a big fat smile on my face!! Big Congrats to you!! Great to see you take your first trip! So thankful to have all the men helping you along the way too!
huge congrats Marty!! thanks for bringing us along through your journey! now swing on up the east coast to Jacksonville so we can fish! (I'll even get you out to the dog park so my fuzzy buddies buddies can show your fuzzy buddies a good time!)
You did just fine your first time out, especially with a reverse rudder problem. It's nice seeing a group of guys that are so supportive of each other, helpful, and courteous!
Congratulations Marty! You have done a beautiful job with the boat. I've been here watching all your videos and I still can't even imagine how difficult it must have been to make the decision to embark on that journey. I'm glad you have some good friends that were able to help make your dream become a reality. Congratulations man! Well done!
Wow, Good for you and the pups. Monumental achievement getting it all together. Messed around with Boats all my life and you brought back a lot of nice memories my friend. Wishing you and pups well, God Bless
congratulations Captain Marty! I've enjoyed watching everything it took to get to this point. I look forward to your boat and fishing adventures in the future!
My son Jonathon and I have been watching you for more than 2 years we have a 36 foot houseboat on the Mississippi. Dont be nervous drivin the boat be patient, patient, patient go slow fellow boaters always help you dock. The nerves go away after a couple trips. You and Mike think about a trip up the river to Saint Paul. Thanks for sharing your times with us.
A buddy and I once put his rack and pinion steering together wrong on his 19' boat and had the steering reversed. It was one of the funniest times I ever had on the water, watching him try to steer. We caught a few fish and then headed home to fix the steering. Great video!
As someone who's been watching for years, this made me so damn happy to watch. Congrats Marty, good luck on all your adventures and always know I'll be a fan.
Wow this was wonderful to watch. And oh my gosh what wonderful people you have had to help you and it was brilliant that they all joined for the first voyage.

This is my favorite channel. Seems like yesterday I was watching you fish in your little red yak. You have come a long way. You stayed humble and sacrificed every step. I am elated of your latest accomplishments. good on you sir. 👏👏👏👍
Congratulations Marty! The boat looks fantastic. We always called our first trip of the new season the "shakedown cruise". We would run over to Catalina Island for a few days and check out all of the systems. And there was always something that needed attention, but that was half the fun. Again, congratulations to you and your good friends. Looking forward to you making a lot of fishing trips.
Congrats Marty! I know how good it feels after all that hard work to finally make that maiden voyage. Cheers to many many years of adventures yet to come!

Awesome! Been watching these since you decided to buy that big girl...Huge thumbs up for seeing it through. Now you can look forward the the adventures!
what worked for me with my first (big boat) was to find a old out of the way (nobody watching no pressure) pilling (marker) and practice docking (dancing) all around it at slack tide no wind once you master that then try it in the wind then with strong current. learn to use the wind and current and the pilling to your advantage. use the weight/momentum to overcome the wind and tide. use a dock line to catch and hold a pilling and rotate/spin her around/in and out of the slip. always watch others and learn from them what works and what does not. thanks for allowing us all aboard on your adventures.
Congratulations! I was just thinking about you yesterday, it's been a while since you have had the engines running. You can now say life has changed, for the better I hope.
