I tip my hat to you
Agreed
2022 baby
2022 hi
Never forget our classics 🤘
This movie is a underrated masterpiece. :')
DAMN STRAIT! The movie is from my child hood. and it's still good compared to this day and age standards, and I'll be-damned if I'm no longer able to watch it!
KidozyGAME yep
This movie was released in 2000...
yeah and many of us were about 10-12 then
I was nine when the movie came out and I still love it
"Open her up, Kale! Give these angels something to CHASE!!"
LilCyco223 not being picky bit its cale
that's being picky lol
Don't question the man's love of leafy-greens.
Doesn't matter we can all agree this was an amazing scene in the movie an amazing mixture of animation and 3d effects with a more amazing emotional aspect that was just FUCKING AMAZING!!!!
LilCyco223 :')
"Wake Angels...they're supposed to be good luck." That was such a beautiful scene.
Giancarlo Valdez "let's give them something to chase"
YES!!! Epic scene right?
Are you an angel?
I like how they form a DNA shape at the end of that scene.
That was incredible scene. Still one of my favorite animated movies of all time 😁
The part when they say "dreams become reality" has given me goosebumps since I was 10 years old, I'm 28 now and it still gets me every time... this and Cosmic Castaway were my anthems as a young teenager lol
Ryan Traver Excellent song.
well 54 and love it...p.s thanx for the cosmic castaway coz youtube will fuck our memeriesth-cam.com/video/mvOZcmi-CQs/w-d-xo.html
Im 28 now as well and I still believe they are quite anthemic , fucking love this movie and its soundtrack
@@emmanuel.cabral I'm also 28! And blare Cosmic Castaway and this while in the shower!
@@LiveForTheWaterGod 31 here. Right with you bro
Titan A.E. was such an awesome, and under-rated, movie.
that would be due to the terrible marketing the film had and also that it had to compete with toy story 2 which just added to the problems the film had
it is still one of my favourite films of all time
Exactly this movie ist awesome and every time I watch it I feel like a child :)
I know. Me and my brother love titan ae. It deserves a 9/10.
Fernando Ramos Why not 10/10?
...because the second half feels rushed, and a few of the character transitions seem abrupt. I think 9/10 is a perfect score for an excellent film.
Where my 2024 and eternity listener's at!!!🙌
Right here brother

As a little Kid this was one of my tops Songs now iam 34 and this Song gives me so much Power i love it^^
One legend to another
You know it buddy
This film's really underrated. I mean, it had a great soundtrack, some great characters, an excellent cast (Matt Damon, Drew Berrymore, Bill Pullman, Nathan Lane), beautiful animation, and Don Bluth's fearlessness in that it has some dark and serious scenes you wouldn't expect in a "kid's" movie. Now, it does have some cliches, but it's a great film nonetheless, and it saddens me that Bluth stopped making movies after this film, which should have been his great comeback.
+jw8395 The animation was fine for it's time but it looks quite dated by today's standards. Also, it wasn't supposed to be a kid's movie but the advertising couldn't decide on that. If anything, this movie is actually overrated. It's an average film and an unfinished one at best thanks to Fox mishandling it.
jacoblgames
I still think the animation is excellent, but I will concede that it has trouble deciding on what kind of film it wants to be. Frankly, a part of me thinks that it should have been rated PG-13 thanks to the blood and violence, but they probably figured they could make more money if it was rated PG. And then it bombed anyway.
jw8395 Like I say, blame Fox. Heck, it wasn't even Don Bluth's and Gary Goldman's project to begin with.
@@jw8395 I would love if that movie were just like 'love death and robots' or 'gundam 00'
THEY HAVE TO DO A REALITY RE-BOOT WITH THE SAME SOUND TRACK BECAUSE THIS SONG STILL BRINGS ME TOO TEARS...
"ITS MY TIME TOO FLYYYYY!!!!" 💪🏾
I hate that this soundtrack isn't available on streaming platforms like Spotify. I really love this song.
From what I can find, most of the soundtrack is actually on Spotify. I have "Over My Head" and "Not Quite Paradise" on my playlist. But as far as I can tell, this is the one song not on Spotify and it irritates the hell outta me.
I know right 😅
Came here to say this

For years I forgot the name of this OST , and now , I have it in my FAVORITE ! THANKS
Real shame this song isn’t on Spotify
I noticed that as well. The other songs from this amazing movie is though.
Agreed !!!
It’s not on iTunes either which is frustrating 🤦♂️

Year later and can confirm this crime
God this movie needs a sequel or a book series or something
There is a couple of books and a limited series of comics but all prequels to the movie.
In all honesty, it was meant to be a one hit wonder. A series would've ruined it. As cool as it was.
smilly456 or a reboot/live action movie
I feel like a sequel would ruin it as it would be extremely difficult to capture the magic that made this movie so damn good
@@drymeee I feel that if they did a Reboot or go full live action a whole lot of the art of this one unique film would be lost. It is the only one of its kind, a sketch and 3D blend this is the step before animation as we know it today.
It's my turn to fly
I'm proving ground tonight
Try to be the best that I can
Grown to be a man
Only human can understand
I fill my lungs with fear, and I exhale
It's my turn to fly
Father, be with me tonight
Uh, I'm right on target (keep that dream alive)
It's my turn to fly
Gotta prove this tonight
Deep in 3043, the refugees survived
The whole of humanity lies in my hand
Give me the chance to tonight
I'll prove to you what's in my eyes
Bring us to victory
Our dreams become reality
It's my turn to fly
Father be with me tonight
Uh, I'm right on target
It's my turn to fly
Father, be with me tonight
Uh, I'm right on target (keep that dream alive)
It's my turn to fly
Gotta prove this tonight (let's do this together)
It's my turn to fly
Father, be with me tonight
Uh, I'm right on target (keep the dream alive)
It's my turn to fly
Gotta prove this tonight (keep that dream alive)
Let's do it, let's do it, do it, do it
Awesome
Real talk, ut really does bother me that the title is _It's my _*_time_*_ to fly_
But the lyrics are "turn"
Appreciate the drop, you a real one
Side note: *our dreams become reality*
I realize it doesn't necessarily need the connection to make sense, but I do like the implications of connecting this line to the "But I'm not broken, *in my dream I win"* from _Cosmic Castaway._
Especially when _Cosmic Castaway_ really isn't unique to Cale. I think that song describes the lived experience of most humans post Earth's destruction (assuming they survived of course)
At 8 years old I never thought this song would mean so much to me. Now it always makes me think about my dad whom I cut out of my life because he was a toxic influence on me, always has been. But now it's *My turn to fly*
You go!!!!
Hey, me too.
💀💀
I can sympathize with that and I did the same thing
I love this song. My dad passed away before this movie came out, but I know he would have loved it. And he got to see it in a way, since hes always with me, always watching over me...I'd like to hope that he's proud of me, even for all my many flaws. I always try to live in a way I think he would be proud of, and one thing he taught me before he left, was the value in reaching out to people that others might overlook, like the homeless. My dad was always going up to homeless people and just asking them how they are, seeing if they need any help, and just treating them like dignified human beings, which was so drastically different from how I saw others pretend like they didn't exist, and to this day I always will make time for anyone on the street that needs help or just wants to talk. I'm very glad I picked that up from him. I love him so much. I can't wait to see him again, but until then...it's my turn to fly.
Father be with me tonight. I'll keep the dream alive.
2019 anyone? Titan AE was one of my favorite movies that I would watch all time back in the day of my childhood!

2021 here and beyond!...Ill never get tired of great animations...specially *THE BEST* one ever made.
2021
Sadly underrated film. At least Don Bluth went out with a bang on this one.
+Rashad Moore He didn't. He went out with a dud. Seriously, this movie massively under-performed. And it's overrated if anything.
Let's agree to disagree. It may have under performed, but that didn't mean it wasn't entertaining.
Rashad Moore Entertaining is not the same thing as good. Look up "movie so bad they're good" if you don't believe me.
Been there done that. I like the movie and that's my opinion. Unless you want to preach to me about how wrong I am. In which I will ignore you.
Rashad Moore XD Will you? I've seen folks say stuff like that before yet they prove themselves to be liars on that.
35 years old still love this song, amazing what sticks with you when you are young

This movie did not get nearly enough credit.
loperspest
Dude
You are comparing this to the LOTR animated movie?
What is wrong with you?
I mean i dont care if it is the original movie of that kind of story but i watched the LOTR and you clearly dont wanna know what i think about that movie
But lets just say it like that:
LOTR Animated is on the same level as Clone Wars for me
It doesnt reach the point of Epicness that Titan AE already went miles past
(In case you dont understand the last thing there: I mean that Titan AE set a new point for epicness that was way higher then any animated movie could ever reach. Of course only in that certain genre)
This movie did not get enough credit period....its a masterpiece.
I know, it is one of my favourite childhood films, I was 10 years old when I saw it at the cinema.
It feels like they built such an incredible and rich universe around this story that it’s a waste it was never made into a series or something.
@Matthew Lindsay wise words, they cannot ruin this movie
Netflix should make a mini series of Titan AE 💗
@@TheStepmonkey agreed
Totally disagree. No need for a series or any continuation sequels or expansion of the "universe" or whatever have you. This movie is absolutely fine as a stand alone. It has a beginning, middle and end. The Dredge are defeated, the earth is reborn and story was complete. I do not need to know if Damon's or Berrymore's characters got married had kids or anything such. I do not need to know what the other alien races did or ended up doing.
Why does everything need expanding and detailed descriptions with clif notes and bi-lines and expanded story telling? Can't people live with a simple story without all the extra add-ins? Just leave well enough alone.
@@TheStepmonkeyNetflix has done too many irreparable damages in terms or reboots so I’d rather have nothing over whatever Netflix does

And this song is THE cure for depression. Absolutely mugs your brain for dopamine.

I think they should do a remake. They should keep all the music and events in the story, and then add some. I don't think enough stuff happened in the story. Also bring back Joss Whedon to rewrite the story. I loved the the movie as a kid but hadn't watched it in a while cuz my parents threw away the VHS/VCR. I finally caught it on tv a few weeks ago. Two things ran through my mind: "NOSTALGIA" and "this has so much more potential".
Joss Wedon, and then get some of the old Firefly cast in here too
It was my favourite sci-fi movie as a kid. I totally agree! Remaking it today would be awesome because we could do so much more with animation and graphics!
Hell no they should not remake this movie. its an instant classic that should not be touched
SuperWWEFanClub indeed, wouldnt even look the same, the late great Don Bluth made it look awesome, no animator dares to compare.
They had it on netflix for a while, but they unfortunately took it off :(
The soundtrack alone justified this movie.
That the movie was good enough to deserve such a rocking soundtrack made it even better.
I don't get why I haven't seen one of those "people are awesome" videos put to this yet, with guys doing epic big-air backflips on bikes, snowmobiles, flyjets, etc... Sure, it would need the "3034" exposition removed from the middle, but this always encourages me to work harder when I listen to it. Every time I reach a milestone at work or accomplish a major goal, I always think "DREAMS BECOME REALITY!" from this song.
drewh0208 good point!

Facts
highly underrated movie, would like to see live action version
Honestly, a live-action production would kind of ruined the feeling, if being animated is one of the reasons why I love it so much. It was also groundbreaking back then, it was one of the very first films that had both 3-D and 2-D involved in it's animation and production, giving it a unique feel. Live action would ruin it.
+Assassin Poma it being*
44magnumdeagle Yea, Matt Damon (Cale's voice) would've been a perfect pick for that character
TheStepmonkey nah Matt Damon is unfortunately too old to play Cale, Cale is 19 and on the other hand Matt is 46. He could play Korso though
If this movie was turned into real life movie! Now that be sick!
With modern CGI and decent actors I would watch it.
Doug Cannon What did you just say?
I remember watching this film when I had the ps1 in 2000, before when the Microsoft Xbox was even thought of, and I still remember the games I use to play... Final Fantasy IX and Mortal Kombat 4!
Probably my favorite movie ever, really hits on everything i like, good music, characters, great film.
+VaultRuss It's actually an average film.
Cobus Le roux Debatable on whether or not it was even good for its time. By the way, it's PG. And it certainly isn't the only PG cartoon that allowed bloodshed and death.
jacoblgames Show me the other PG cartoon that allowed neck snapping and i will remove my comment. I swear.
Cobus Le roux Let me start off by saying that you're going on the assumption that neck-snapping is the most violent thing shown in that cartoon.
Wizards is arguably more violent than neck-snapping, The Lord of The Rings is also arguably more violent than that, and Fire & Ice contains very non-PG imagery.
And let's not forget that there are G movies that have some really non-G imagery: Tarzan shows a hanging though it is brief, Mulan depicts a massive amount of deaths in the avalanche scene (remember how few soldier Shan-Yu had left), The Hunchback of Notre Dame contains very non-G themes (Quasimodo's mother dies on-screen due to the shock from the steps), it's worth noting that the makers of Secret of NIMH were aiming for the PG rating yet got a G rating, Littlefoot's Mother had a chunk of flesh missing, and doesn't the Wardrobe in Beauty and The Beast kill a man by crushing him?
You better not complain about me doing more than what you asked for.
jacoblgames *sigh* very well, you have made your point. My comment shall be removed, though reading that has made me realise something... cartoons have become really shit over these past 10 years.
p.s. i cried when Littlefoot's mother died. i still do. :'(

The best movie soundtrack imo with Oblivion, unbelievable it never got more traction back then.
My dad showed me this movie in like 2009 and it always became one of my favs and this song brings back so many memories of long car rides and falling asleep in the car
I just got back from the year 3043 and I am proud to report that this is the United Earth Refugee Navy anthem.
Another great song that really miss my childhood. Had this on VHS and The Lost City of Atlantis with Milo Thatch. :)
Lost City of Atlantis was, along with Treasure Planet and Titan AE, the visual anthem of my childhood, and I can tell that you are the same way.
