    Great stuff. Good to see you getting in shape too. Trainers that look like they can still play makes everything they teach players more believable.

  • @mrhoopfan1
    @mrhoopfan1 7 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    Good on court instruction but will it translate to games??? I think more than half the dudes are underachieving, and should work more small sided game situations, like Oubre, who to me has low bball IQ.... A reason why many head coaches don't really care for players working with trainers. The vid is dope tho!

    • @AnthonyAlao

      Would the on court success of the player not attest to the benefit of great skills training?

    • @mrhoopfan1
      @mrhoopfan1 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Sure....Skills are a part of what makes a player successful along with IQ, conditioning/Physical stuff and the mindframe (toughness, competitiveness, composure). For example, Meyers Leonard is skilled but lacks the understanding of how to play and toughness somewhat. How to play means knowing what to do, when to do it and why to do it. In addition, it's taking your skill set and athletic abilities to best fit your teams offensive and defensive philosophies/ schemes. A skilled player with an IQ, toughness and above average athletic ability for the level they play at . I have written a book tht features discussion on this topic.

    Grinding like this takes a lot of effort and determination,a majority of normal basketball hoopers can't undergo the intensity of this type of training on a day-to-day basis. I respect all of the NBA players because in order to compete on that level, they have to conquer all form of physical pain, even with their gifts. And as their career goes on, they have to train on that intensity level every single year, every single season to stay in shape, which could scare a lot of basketball players off. Once again, I respect their diligence, their faith. Right now I'm working hard, and if I grow 3-7 inches taller in the future and get a chance to play D1 basketball, I'm ready to enter the real basketball world,
