What I like about this is that the developer has worked on Retro Game Challenge, so they know how to do these quick hit type of games. Anyway, the first NES Remix was pretty fun, but this sequel looks to have a lot more of the classics I'm looking for!
Thank you for feeding my nostalgia Nintendo! What great games and love the new twists you added in NES Remix 1 so I'm sure I'll enjoy these even more with the game lineup!!
It warms my heart to see Nintendo and its branch-like developers embrace everything that made classic games so good. While I won't get NES Remix 1 due to a much weaker selection, much fewer remixes, and not wanting to participate in the Championships, the existence of the Championships and remixes is great. They're like ornaments on a tree, making it a Christmas tree.
In Super Mario Bros 3, when you played 2-player, you could challenge your opponent in one of a few minigames, and which one was randomly picked. That was one of them. The winner got to go to the next stage.
TheRealSonicFan Value of digital products is $0. Physical copies retain value and eventually become a collectable that may possibly increase in value. That, and having a physical copy on a shelf looks good. There are a lot of games from NES, SNES, and N64 that are worth well over $50.
ゆい714 yeah I found a mint condition boxed super metroid going on sale for £130 I don't know what that is in dollars but it's ridiculous amount of money that's why I downloaded it for £5.I totally agree that digital copies aren't as valuable as a real copy but I think they're worth more than 0.I also think it's disgusting that you can buy preowned copies of games that are a year or two old for about £10 yet xbla or psn still want to charge £40 for a digital. £40 is too much even if the game was released that very day DLC IS also a ripoff getting over priced incomplete games isn't what I had in mind when the last generation started.Bethesda hasn't release a working game since Microsoft and Sony told them they can patch it later
***** You still don't own it as it's property of the game company under copyright. Besides you buy the game to play it and you waste some of your money on the packaging and the case it comes in.
***** It's flash memory, there isn't a hard drive in the Wii U. But it does support up to 4 terabytes of memory (2 TB per hard drive) through external hard drives.
***** The Wii U all you have to do is plug it in and do a quick system update that partitions the hard drive. It actually pretty quick, so you must have very little patience. Or maybe you didn't know it was a quick process.
***** It's not exactly like I could just assume that. That is something that is besides the point. And if anyone needed to study computer science in order to know how to use a usb cord, there would be a problem. I get that you don't want to download games that's fine. I tend to go for retail copies of games that I can get as well. For you, you know it would be a waste because you would buy pretty much only retail, but then what about the games that are download only? Or do you just not get any of them?
***** I like physical copies because it both saves disk space and also prevents me from losing the game if my console ever joins that giant pawn shop in the sky.
No? They actually aren't. Super Luigi Bros is a backwards version of an NES game that's not even worth 10 bucks. You don't get to fully play levels from 10 NES games, and the Championship Mode is just a different version of the Nintendo World Championship. No they are not being generous.
Backwards of one short NES game that can be beaten in 5 minutes. There are no levels that you can play, they are literally short objectives you can do. It's not an opinion, it's a fact that this is overpriced. This should at least be 8 dollars. 15 is way too spendy.
Its a fun concept, good way to check out a bunch of old games you maybe never played, or still remember, but wouldn't really play through again. But don't get it thinking it will be fun competing for best rankings on the "leaderboards" comparing against friends and stuff. Because, after experiencing Nintendo idea of "leaderboards" in NES Remix, where you have to manually post to Miiverse in order to get score posted to "leaderboard", and not having any way to actually see or compare leaderboard ranks with and kind of filters like friends etc, I can't take any more attempts at such stuff from Nintendo seriously.
Did you stick around to the end of the video? Owning both unlocks 'Nintendo world championship' styled leader boards - different I think, to what's in the first game
radioheadrule That is an overall score board, it is not for specific events, with friend filter, or any of the other features of more useful leaderboards.
honestly this doesnt look bad, its just a sequel released too soon. id much rather see a "game boy remix" for the 3ds than a sequel to nes remix on wii u.
Will the next game be "SNES Remix"? Where there's remixes of Super Nintendo games? And then will there be "N64 Remix" with remix games from the N64 and so on?
I hope Nintendo does something where if you own the first NES Remix you can get this second one for a discounted price, or get a dollar off downloading the original titles on the Virtual Console.
I doubt this will happen, but I hope Nintendo lets us transfer the Miiverse stamps we unlocked from NES Remix 1, and let us use them on Remix 2. It would be a shame if we can't mix the old stamps with the new...
Yeah, the first NES Remix feels like it was testing the waters to see if people were interested in the product (as is evident from the limited games and fewer features). I hope you're right and they continue to remix other console games in this way :D
Seriously.. 15 bucks is great for a feature packed game like this.. It's even better than the first one - you get a whole virtual console NES game with it.. Plus they added leaderboards for both..
wiilover07 The simple reasons: risk and benefit. The chance of people picking a game like this up from the e-shop is far higher than people getting it at retail. Chances are high that a game like this will be ignored by most people when they come to the store (risk). And there's the question if a retail version will increase sales significantly - would a big part of the people buying it at retail have ignored it on digital? Or would they have bought it anyway? (benefit) Nintendo's marketing team has to figure these questions out before they can justify a retail release.. That takes time. It may come out which means they found that it was worth it. Or not which means they found that it was not beneficial enough. Retail is far more costly than digital so you need to be sure more people are going to pick it up.
Yeah but collectors and old school gamers would really appreciate the retail copy. The cover art looks awesome. If Japan can get a retail copy than why not us?
I know exactly what's gonna happen. Going to break down and buy this and the next day they announce physical release. Of course I will have to buy it again
That wouldn't be able to carry an appeal to the greater mass though. Many gamers didn't live through the good old NES games and would need those others as a frame of reference. Even for me, they prove to be good for getting reacquainted with a game long past ...before they tell me up is down in a remix!
I want them to make an SNES Remix game. That would be pretty awesome.
In time :)

That Kirby remix with giant boos looks genuinely terrifying.
Thank you for feeding my nostalgia Nintendo! What great games and love the new twists you added in NES Remix 1 so I'm sure I'll enjoy these even more with the game lineup!!
I wonder why they used the 3DS home screen button sound effect when the Wii U logo appeared at the end.
I thought that too! Lol?
They use that sound in every eShop trailers in Japan. Try to find some and wait until the end.
The wonderful game will not exisist after today
tell that to my modded wiiu with nusspli installed (free shop)

I'd wish Wii U could come back , it had so much potential ❤😢❤😊❤❤😊
2:00 "Defeat Luigi"!?

If I had a Wii u I would buy this game before the eShop shuts down
@hello I'm a random man I actually just got a Wii U last week but sadly the eShop closes tomorrow
Nintendo why you release physical copy NES Remix 1+2 in Japan but not anywhere else?
Wait seriously! I want that shit!
Isn't it better to download it?

Something tells me Ice Climbers will be confirmed around the time this releases, being the representatives of Nintendo's 8-bit era and all that.
We want physical copy's of NES Remix 1&2!! If it came out now, I'd start sprinting out my house to get it!
I dislike downloading :(
They're making one. But it's only announced for Japan right now.

Nintendo should re-release the game for the Switch
fr they should make like a nes remix definitive edition or sumthin
At least it has a better selection of NES games now.
I can't believe these aren't multiplayer. These are perfect party games. I would definitely get them in a heart beat if I could play with my friends.
SNES remix, next?
0:29 - You misspelled "challenge" in the upper left corner!
The remix stages look awesome and fun!
Im still playing nes remix games they're awesome
What's the name of this song? It was the eshop theme during this game's release.
this one looks so much better than the first. i put in about 13 hours into nes remix. it really was worth the money
Is this an update for nes remix or is it a whole new thing
Nice reference to Nintendo world championships xd
Underrated game for an underrated console
I really hope the NES Remix 1+2 compilation disc makes its way to America.
Kid Icarus, Kirby's Adventure, Dr. Mario, AND Super Mario Bros. 2?
This game cannot be released soon enough.
I hope StarTropics will make it in any of NES Remixes.
Why did you remove miiverse
Yo Nintendo show the 3DS some love with this
I freaking LOVE That intro, also I am going to ace all the Punch-Out challenges!
Been waiting for this game for Months. Lucky Japan will have a retail version that bundles the two games.
2:18 Nintendo World Championships anyone?
good point
I'm actually going to pick this one up! Has a better selection of games!
Release 1 + 2 on disc now please... and Wii Sports club too.
2:19 that default text
OMG! Nintendo World Championships is back! Hey Nintendo, can you release NWC 1990 for NES on Wii U Virtual Console?
can u play all the games? or are only challenges?
If only they let us do things like this in Mario Maker 2
We Need a SNES Remix ASAP!
I love that hammer bro power up its so cool
is there a case that nes remix 2 can be for the 3ds
To be honest with the price this is the original games should also be included.

Is it too much to ask to put this on 3DS?
i'm suddenly reminded of super mario crosover
so nintendo, when are we getting boxing and baseball for wii sports club?
^^^^^ This.
Why is "Challenge Stages" spelt wrong?
Are you being ironic?

"Challange"
because Japanese people
because reference to NES games probably...
***** Spelled*
Championship mode with high scores, now Nintendo is finally getting it. We like worldwide competition =) and leaderboards
I hope Nintendo brings over a retail version with both Nes Remix games like they're doing in japan!
I hope Nintendo does something where if you own the first NES Remix you can get this second one for a discounted price, or get a dollar off downloading the original titles on the Virtual Console.
Nintendo will you make any other type of remix because I want you to make Nintendo 64 Remix
Better than Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition.
Same developers
I doubt this will happen, but I hope Nintendo lets us transfer the Miiverse stamps we unlocked from NES Remix 1, and let us use them on Remix 2. It would be a shame if we can't mix the old stamps with the new...
super luigi bros tells that the year of luigi isnt over! and let's expect a nses remix and a n64 remix!
Love the intro
Maybe sens remix next?
When is it released?
April 25th for EU and NA. April 24th for JPN
Merky Water Thank you :-)
Please make more of these Nintendo
I would be happy beyond words if they did this for SNES or GBA games
I would think the Snes is next in late 2014 (games from 1991-1993/4).
Yeah, the first NES Remix feels like it was testing the waters to see if people were interested in the product (as is evident from the limited games and fewer features). I hope you're right and they continue to remix other console games in this way :D
Why not SNES Remix as well?
I think it will come later (December?) or 2015.
i cannot wait to buy this
This one looks a lot better than the original, maybe it's the games they're pulling from?
Can you make NES REMIX 3?
and Mother 1?(EarthBound Zero or Earthbound Beginnings)
NESboy:even more enyoyable than the first thanks to using more recognizable titles
Would be awesome if you could play the full games. Even if they were unlockable.
I need this game...
So pumped for this.
Sorry Nintendo but $14.99 is too much for a download version of anything. Bring over that retail copy of both Nes Remix games then I will buy it.
Seriously.. 15 bucks is great for a feature packed game like this.. It's even better than the first one - you get a whole virtual console NES game with it..

wiilover07 Dude I just explained it. It might be too expensive: wasted money, too little interest from people..
2:35 That's the sound for 3DS, not Wii U. And that's the sound it makes every time my game crashes. :P
Something about watching Super Luigi Bros in reverse made me feel a little queazy..
What about SNES Remix?
Soon enough. I'd imagine next installment
I'm not surprised, but we still didn't get a MOTHER mini game.
and switch?
Wow, already?
already?
Where is the new stuff ?
Hey, retro gamers. Ultimate NES Remix is coming to Nintendo 3DS in retail stores and on the Nintendo 3DS eShop on November 5.
Is this for the E-Shop? I know the video says that, but just making sure! :D
it looks fun, maybe i will buy it. but, it would be cool if you can make a snes remix
I hope after this we'll see a SNES Remix.
So basically this is nes remix: the version you wanted the first time?jk I liked the first one but this one looks exponentially better
Way better games, yeah. I didn't get the first one but I probably will this one.
***** i hope there will be a SNES remix in the near future
Nes remix 1&2...I knew spending my money in this ganes were worth It :)
eShop price?
We want Shovel Knight!
Beautiful
I know exactly what's gonna happen. Going to break down and buy this and the next day they announce physical release. Of course I will have to buy it again
8 bit game classic
I GONNA GET YOU BACK NINTENDO!!
PUNCH OUT??? well its time for rainbow stars

The beginning looked like it cold have been an NES theme smash bros
so soon? But it looks quite a bit better than the first one though.
Yes please!
